First impressions: As I met the Fed Ex driver at the gate, he handed me the box and the box had a nice handle cut into it. Not a biggie because the package was only 13 pounds, but it was nice to be able to get the mail in one hand and easily carry the monitor up to the house. Once inside, the box was easy to un-package. One quick swipe with my trusted picket knife knife through the tape and it opened up like a brief case. Clever. Inside you'll find the base, the stand arm, the power cables, the ubiquitous quick-start/warning/warranty info, and of course, the monitor. One nice inclusion was a 6' HDMI cable. I have units in the past that did not include that so it's nice to have. Saved me from fumbling around my cable drawer to hook it up. Assembly was a snap. Place the arm on the base, the base has a nice screw that can easily be hand-tightened. Again, no biggie if I would have had to grab a Phillips or standard head screw drive from my pocket multi-tool or tool box, but nice to not have to. Next step, place the monitor on the vertical arm, pop it in nice and snug and you are off to the races. Apply power, put HDMI connector in, power on, a couple quick items to easily enter using the easy accessible but attractively hidden operation buttons and you're good to go. Overall quality is what I have come to expect (and never disappointed in) from Dell. Very nice affordable consumer grade equipment. The picture is very good for a non-4K unit. The bezel is very thin. Overall, a very nice monitor. The only reason I gave 4 stars and not 5, and it is a minor one, is that while there are 2 HDMI inputs, there are no older legacy option if you have an older PC or video unit. No biggie, but just a note if you need to look at HDMI adapter options. I have it hooked up to my Samsung 8 channel security system. It sets nicely on the stand where I can easily glance and see what is happening on any and all cameras. If I see anything interesting, I can zoom to that camera and I have nice crisp, clean, accurate and detailed view. This is a defined and measurable upgrade from my previous 1280 x 720 21" monitor. The difference is immediate and appreciated. In all, I would most assuredly recommend to a friend. Nice monitor and it meets my needs well. Please note: The included pictures are NOT intended to provide any information beyond overall look. The pictures the monitor are displaying are live pictures from non-lighted home video camera's taken in the dark. In other environments, the monitor displays color and live motion very well. Disclaimer: This product was provided free, or at reduced cost, for the purpose of reviewing the product. Nevertheless, the above review, be it positive, negative, or anywhere in-between, is a 100% honest review, and the price paid played absolutely no part in my review.

A Good All Purpose Home/Office Monitor

With a bright, colorful, and vivid display, the Dell S2419NX 24” IPS LED Full HD monitor will fit the display needs of most office and home office applications. The overall design is very clean with a thin black bezel that runs on all four edges, and the monitor is supported on a slender support arm and sits on top of a base with rubber feet to prevent slipping. The monitor has some glare and reflection. In bright rooms or near windows where there is sunlight coming through, the display images can be obscured by glare and reflection. One nice thing about the monitor is that colors and brightness remain consistent at wide viewing angles. Assembling the monitor out of the box is relatively quick requiring no tools. Simply connect the support arm to the monitor on one end and the base on the other. Connect to one of the two available hdmi ports on the monitor and plug in the ac power brick. I am moving up from a 15.6” laptop display, so the 24” display of this Dell monitor provides enough screen real estate for my needs. I use the display mostly for office productivity software, web browsing, and the occasional video or movie. Text and images are rendered very clearly with good sharpness and detail. Images are also bright, vivid and have good contrast. On the lower right corner of the monitor are buttons which will bring up an onscreen menu with options to make adjustments to the display such as brightness, contrast, color, sharpness, etc. Being that this is a budget monitor, there really aren't many features to describe. Inputs are only two hdmi connectors. There's no vga input for legacy devices and no dvi input. The only physical adjustment to the monitor is the ability to tilt the display angle up and down. The monitor does not pivot. You'll need to pick it up to adjust the pivot. You also won't be able to adjust the display height of the monitor. It doesn't move up or down. And it doesn't rotate into portrait mode. These aren't really disadvantages of this monitor as most monitors in this class and price point also do not provide much in terms of degrees of freedom to tilt, pivot, adjust vertical movement, or rotate the monitor. It's just something to be aware of when considering the purchase. All in all, the Dell S2419NX 24” monitor accomplishes its intended purpose of nicely displaying text, graphics, images, and video with good color, clarity, brightness, and contrast without breaking the bank. This would definitely be on the short list of monitors that I would consider.

Got this yesterday as a second monitor for use while streaming on Twitch. My main monitor is a Samsung Q7F 55" QLED TV, for comparison's sake. This Dell is decent enough. It's light, yet solidly enough built. I'm not horribly impressed with the depth of blackness. I'm not done playing with the saturation and contrast yet, but I suspect that it will never be as dark/sharp as it should be, purely because of how it's actually lit. A backplane QLED TV which exhibits some bloom still manages an overall better performance on depth of colour and deepness of blacks. That said, it is actually an HDR-capable unit, although not in every mode. I turned mine to Game Mode, and high dynamic contrast turned on in the menus. It is responsive to my turning Colour to "Full" in NVidia Control Panel. The menu system is easy to use, and intuitive. The stand is decently solid. The packaging... I don't know what world Dell lives in where protecting the back glossy plastic and even the outside (thin, outward-facing) edges of the bevel with plastic film is a priority over covering the bloody screen, but that -is- apparently the dimension in which they live. Also, so far the screen is a complete pain to clean. It's an oil magnet. Be prepared to spend quite a while cleaning it if you get fingerprints on it. I've tried eyeglass cleaning wipes, which worked inadequately. I had better luck with rubbing alcohol and paper towel. I'm going to switch to Windex, based on those two experiences. Also, unlike many LCD/LED monitors since 2012, this one seems to like to attract dust in terms of the screen acting like it's statically charged. This is on the first night, mind you. Paper towel, not the best for cleaning this. I'll be investing in some microfiber cloth. Note that anti-glare is -not- anti-reflection, and honestly is barely anti-glare given moderate lighting, let alone sunlight through windows. Short of eyeglasses with the really expensive coating, you can almost never trust the phrase "anti-glare", and this unit is no exception. All told, it's a solid enough purchase, especially for $169. Could I have gotten a better monitor? Sure, if I added $120-200 more to the cost. For a spare monitor, or for people on a budget, it's a no-brainer, and go ahead and get it. As a main monitor for someone who can afford better, I'd advise investing in better.

Dell really made a well-rounded monitor! It’s great for everything I tried it. Setting up the monitor was easy, it comes with 2x HDMI on the back and that's about all you get outside of a Kingston lock and power cord insert. Luckily Dell gives you HDMI cord included with the monitor. Really it’s not much to set up. Also, the monitor is lightweight for easy movement. Multimedia and gaming look stunning with the right settings. Watched a few episodes of a show called “Power” and it was very color accurate that becomes a quite bright display. Movies with dark scenes are dark and there isn’t light bleed at all from what I can see. The colors are spot on with this near bezel-less display called “Infinity edge.” Which I’m more than delighted to use. I love the technology have crafted into the displays dell used over time, this one shows that they have matured the Infinity Edge display. Its’ a sharp 1920x1080 23’ inch display giving you accurate colors and consistent clarity across the board. For the 2nd HDMI input I used an old Apple TV which showcased a lot of use for Multimedia content, to be honest, Hulu looked great but keep in mind there are no speakers on this monitor so I used Bluetooth, Still the content for Huluween was great to watch on this display. Games looked wonderful. Fortnite was eye-popping with contrast. Particles on games like DOOM or Final Fantasy XV sparkle with clarity. Call of duty black ops: 4 looked wonderful on the display. For me, I would most likely use this for gaming for my PS4 or Xbox One, but PC gaming on this was awesome. The display is also modern looking with a nice sliver and black design. Would look nice paired with a MacBook or any silver notebook PC on a desktop. The very beautiful design is embedded in this display...But as modern, as it looks, it’s Definitely not modern feeling. The back is made of some very cheap feeling plastic. On top of that, it’s glossy black which I don’t care for. Dell could’ve been a lot better if they just use a matte black color. Most likely (like everyone else) I will never ever look at the back anyway and what’s important is what’s in front of your eyes, which is that gorgeous display. If I was to recommend this to somebody I would definitely recommend it for multimedia or gaming. Dell - S2419NX is definitely a great display at a very low cost. I enjoy it!

    Stylish 1080p IPS Display

I have been using the Dell S2419 24" display for about a week now and my review is short and simple. This 1080p IPS monitor delivers good color in a stylish package. The thin bezels give it an ultra-modern feel and really make it feel more upmarket than it is. The IPS panel has great off-axis color reproduction, but suffers from IPS glow. Blacks quickly deteriorate off-axis, but that is pretty common for any IPS display. That said it is a bit worse on this monitor than others I have seen so keep that in mind if you are sensitive to that. Overall panel uniformity is good, backlight bleed is non-existent which is always a big plus, and there were no dead or lit pixels. Keep in mind that is based on the monitor I received and your mileage may vary as units will vary some. Additionally, motion blur is minimal which is a good if you plan to game with it. My single biggest complaint regarding the monitor is the stand. It only has tilt adjustment which can be a bit of a pain unless your placement is just right. Would have like to have seen height adjustment as well. The lack of extensive adjustment only exacerbates the IPS glow issue. Also, the stand is very wobbly. Even the slightest bump and the display will jostle around. Unfortunately, it does not have VESA mount capability so you are pretty much stuck with the stand it comes with. Overall, this is a pretty average IPS monitor. If you find it on sale and are in the market for a 24" 1080p display than this is a solid choice, but at list price I would evaluate the alternatives before making the jump.

Let me say straight off the bat this has typical Dell Quaility and Picture for the Monitor. There is no complaints from the picture/color of the monitor. For my needs it is perfect and I'm happy, but I have a few notes for those shopping for monitors that may or may not matter: 1. This is not a standard VESA mount. If you were planning on using a something to mount a monitor that uses a typical VESA mount this is not the monitor for you. It has its own very solid stand, but is not VESA compatible from what I see. 2. Input to this monitor is HDMI only. Yes it has two HDMI ports, but it is an HDMI only monitor. If you're looking for a monitor to connect your work system to when you work in office from home, make sure you have an HDMI port on the laptop, not Display port or a suitable dongle to convert from HDMI to display port or VGA. 3. While it has an easy to assemble stand and its solid the monitor does not roate in the stand. Just tilts a bit, so if you need height adjustment for rotation of the monitor to portrait, this is not the monitor for you. That all said, I like this monitor, I'm happy with it. The biggest issue I have is having to use the OSD to change sources when I have two different computers plugged into the monitor and on, would have liked just a single button press. The picture is great. No bleed and the monitor does look great, with deep blacks and nice bezel that disappears into the monitor. If you need an office monitor for when you from home, this is definitely a monitor to consider. Espescially if you want one that is easy to setup and start using, then this is defintiely one to consider.

I use my small laptop a lot when I work outside my office, but when I am working at home or office, I prefer to work on a larger screen monitor. Using the included HDMI cable, I easily connect my laptop to this Dell IPS LED monitor and it works perfectly to extend my screen viewing. The setup was quick and easy; assemble the base and then attach the monitor. No tools were necessary. The monitor tilts slightly up and down backward to accommodate for best viewing angle. At my office, I use two screens, and they are set up at an angle, and this Dell monitor works perfectly. Its IPS feature allows consistent colors at any viewing angle, but only up to 178 degrees angle. The images are always clear with vibrant colors. With a refresh rate of 76Hz, the monitor it works great for office applications and most gaming. The monitor looks high tech with its silver metallic base and its e 3-sided micro-edge and ultraslim thickness. If need to secure the monitor to a desk or any large object, it has a lock port. This monitor is not a VESA mount compatible. I am satisfied with the image quality produced by this Dell monitor.

My initial impression of this monitor after unboxing was how light and thin it was! Dell has done a great job in how easy it is to assemble out of the box all one has to do is, input the neck into the monitor and listen for a click which indicates its firmly locked in place followed by the base which is attached to 2 screws followed by a twist to make sure its securely attached. The following are pros and cons of the monitor: Pros: • Size-the size of this monitor is 24 inches which gives a very scenic view. • Resolution-the resolution on this monitor is the standard 1920 X 1080 at 76 Hz refresh rate. Images are clear and concise to view. I have not personally experienced any distortion. Additionally, the brightness is at 250 cd/m². • 2 HDMI inputs are housed in back of this monitor. I found this feature to be helpful due to the fact, I plan to hook up several of my laptops from time to time for more robust viewing. • Reasonably priced if you’re in need of a dependable monitor at budget pricing. Cons: • The buttons that adjust viewing preferences are housed under the monitor which makes it hard to adjust. I am a visual person as such, I like to see how each button works without having to look upside down. • I wish that the monitor had speakers housed within the base. • The stand while its firmly planted, it does not have varied tilting options. Overall, I do recommend this monitor as it has great picture resolution and clarity all at affordable pricing!!

    Brilliant Depth and Brightness

The Dell S2419NX is a great monitor for its tax bracket. It can often be hard to compare review monitors, first because the price points can vary so wildly, and second because unless they are side by side for a real comparison, quality can be hard to judge. First on quality, it is top notch, the small bezel around the outside of the screen gives is a large feel, and also saves on real estate. Many monitors of this size have a large plastic frame, but this one is tiny and it really helps the monitor stand out, and take up less space. It has a high gloss finish on the monitor, which is awesome, but can be problematic. It really makes the monitor bright, and look great, but if you have the screen on something very dark, and say a keyboard that lights up, you will get a bit of a reflection. I like having the small audio out on the monitor that you can plug speakers into - its perfect for the small speakers I have in my home office, and saves cabling mess. I have a 3 monitor setup, so this monitor is sitting alongside two other monitors of the same size , and same class, and this one is by far the crispest picture. It has great color depth, and I really find the natural brightness makes it great for reading documents or articles. As for everything else it is exactly what you would expect. Pros - Great Color Depth Small frame/Bezel Screen Brightness is second to none Con The brightness causes occasional glare/reflection It is not height adjustable - most monitors of this size are not anyway but, it is a feature I appreciate. Net result is if i needed to replace one of my other monitors, this would be the model I would pick moving forward.

The Dell - S2419NX 24" IPS LED FHD Monitor is a solid choice for those on a budget. It touts a 5ms refresh rate ( I would assume a G-to-G timing ), is Energy Star rated and comes in markedly below a 20 watt rating, has a slim bezel and has clean design lines. I'm especially happy about the Energy Star rating as this monitor replaces an older Dell 23" model which scores a higher power consumption than this 24". Straight out of the box, the picture was phenomenal, with good depth of color and solid dynamic range. I have it paired with a Dell XPS 8910 which came with a GTX 750i graphics card and I didn't need to readjust any of the picture settings. Games, photos and videos all look great for a monitor at this price point. I was also keen to see how much light bleed would emit from the edges and I am happy to report that in addition to the absence of light bleed, the overall corner-to-corner picture uniformity is outstanding. My only gripes about this model is the lack of vertical height adjustment and more importantly, the omission of built-in speakers. There's a model just above this one - not offered by Best Buy - that has full adjust-ability and it isn't much more expensive. I knew what I was opting for with this monitor choice so I won't count these two nits against my rating although built-in speakers should really have been part of the deal. I can recommend this to gamer types and casual users on a budget alike. Tremendous value for Dell quality.

    Love the InfinityEdge design

The best feature for this Dell monitor for me is the thin bezel that Dell calls InfinityEdge design. It definitely gives the monitor a modern and sleek look. Dell touts the screen as anti-glare which like most all monitors is true to an extent. One other review mentioned that they had a difficult time removing fingerprints; I did not find this to be the case when I used my usual screen wipes. We are using this monitor for everyday tasks and we were happy with the standard monitor settings. The Full HD display colors are vibrant and bright right out of the box. However, if one chooses there are preset modes for display settings that include: standard, comfortview (decreases blue light), movie, game, warm, cool and custom color. In summary, I like the thin bezel design, vibrant display, two HDMI connections (box includes one HDMI cable) and easy to use controls for adjustments. I'd give this monitor a strong recommendation if you have the opportunity to pick this up for a good sale price which would make this a great value for the quality.

Setup this monitor on my office PC that my wife and I both use. I use it to surf the web and check email while she actually does work on it for her home business. It is nicer than the last LCD we had that wasn't an IPS LED monitor and the colors really pop and the text is very clear. One thing my wife commented on was how intuitive the settings menu and buttons are to change the brightness/color/sharpness/etc... This isn't something I normally pick up on but it was something I noticed as well that made me take note. Out of the box the monitor was setup, plugged in, and ready to go in less than 5 minutes. No tools were necessary to get the base setup and get it connected. It came with a nice HDMI cable and does have 2 HDMI inputs to allow for a second computer to be connected or hooking up a Cable Box or Fire Stick to allow the monitor to double as a TV. Overall look is very nice and the infinity edge makes this thing look really sharp. In comparison to the old HP LCD we had this thing looks like Kate Upton next to Pat from SNL. It is very sleek and for the office we have and the space it is in it is the perfect size. Overall very happy with this monitor and would definitely recommend to our friends.

The Dell - S2419NX 24" IPS LED FHD Monitor - Black/Silver is the newest iteration of the Dell monitor line. It provides a large viewing surface while offering minimal bezel. Quality color and definition while providing a good user experience for basic usage. While there are many decent features for the basic user, this monitor lacks some of the basic industry standards and is not great for a "gamer." Vesa mounting is basically the industry standard for monitors any more, but this monitor surprising lacks this feature. The lack of any flair such as a real metal stand or LED lighting in the monitor seems unusual for this price-point. PROS - Dell Quality - Very thin Bezel - Good visual display (Color and Definition) - Large viewable surface area - Easy controls and adjustments - User Inputs are sufficient for most users CONS - Very plastic look and feel - No Vesa Mount availability - High gloss = Fingerprints and Dust - Low refresh rate of 60hz Overall it is a decent monitor for basic users seeking a large display and good visuals with minimal bezel; I would recommend it for this type of user. Not recommended for a power user or gamer seeking high performance.

This monitor is great when on sale. I paid $140 after tax and it has a beautiful edge to edge display, excellent color & brightness out of the box. I prefer a LED monitor that can actually go quite dim. I don't like very bright displays. This display also caught my attention because it doesn't have a heavy anti-glare film over the screen YET you still get great anti-reflection with this display with open windows etc. You will notice a much crisper image without having such thick anti reflection or "matte" film over the display. The downsides are the only complaint is the only adjustment is vertical tilt and other than that I've got no complaints. I think with today's day & age we should have almost all monitors coming standard with fully adjustable stands up & town for ergonomics. Personally I got lucky and this display is high enough where it's at a safe position for ergonomics and for me to not injure myself using it 8 hours a day for work.

Dell - S2419NX 24" IPS LED FHD Monitor There are 2 HDMI inputs and 1 HDMI cable is included with the monitor. This LED with antiglare monitor has a 1920x1080 resolution. The contrast ratio is 8,000,00:1 which provides deep blacks and bright whites. The refresh rate is 76Hz and response time is 5ms. The result is a clear crisp picture. It's set up to have a great video and gaming performance. At 24" I would consider the monitor to be mid-sized. It's large enough to not feel like you're straining to see a full picture or small details but it's not so massive it will take over your wall or desk. The base is roughly 8" x 9.5" so it's not big and bulky. You cannot adjust the height but it does tilt some. The stand and monitor have a nice sleek and modern look to them. My husband is using this Dell monitor in the office as an additional monitor for his videos, displays, stock trading, etc. and works great for his needs. It's not a premium product but neither is the price. It's affordable which makes it very accessible to have a decent display.

This Dell IPS monitor has it's benefits and disadvantages. It is an IPS monitor and it does suffer from accurate color reproduction at times and the screen doesn't get as bright as my Alienware monitor. It is full HD though and gaming on my PS4 is better than I expected while gaming on my PC is just good. This monitor has very minimal bezels which is a great advantage compared to its competition in this price range. One disadvantage is the lack of ports. One HDMI port with no display ports are turn offs for some people but I guess you can just use that one HDMI port. I would really recommend this monitor to anyone needing a second screen for gaming or productivity tasks. I've been using it mostly for audio mixing as my second screen and although there is a big difference in color from my first monitor it still works for me. There is also a glare that bugs if you have the lights on but can easily be fixed by turning up the brightness. Overall it's a good monitor that can be used for gaming, Netflix, and productivity and it gets the job done for me.

The Dell S2419NX 24" IPS LED FHD is a nice monitor. Setup was very quick and easy. It really is plug and play. Color reproduction is strong. Image quality is also good, although it's not QHD or 4k. There is no perceptible lag with videos or gaming (unless you're a professional gamer). The monitor is also attractive and modern-looking. The stand is limited to just tilt adjustments. Unfortunately, this Dell is not VESA compatible, so the stand is your only option for mounting the monitor. Note, your only input options are two HDMI inputs. So this may not be a good fit for an older system. Overall, this is a very nice 24" monitor that doesn't break the bank. I would have given it 5 stars other than the lack of VESA compatibility and the lack of a legacy input. If those things don't matter to you, then check it out.

This monitor is great for general purpose. The refresh rate is 5ms, suitable for most apps, including some games. Other hard core gamers might want to get something with a 4k resolution and 1 or 2ms refresh rate. The colors are pretty rich and vibrant. I like to do a lot of photo editing, and the color output seems pretty natural, without any adjustments. The other thing to keep note of, is that this monitor comes with only 2 inputs, and both are HDMI, which is fine for most modern computers, but if your computer only has a traditional VGA output, you will have to look for other options. However, because this monitor does have 2 HDMI outputs, it can be used as a second tv for a smaller room with a spare cablebox/streaming device, or a video game screen for non 4K consoles.

This is a terrific all-around monitor for anyone looking to upgrade their display. Whether you are looking to game, web browse, view media, or work from home on this monitor, it will serve you well. Pros: Fantastic display quality. Slim bezel is very stylish, as is the black/silver design. Able to tilt to optimal angle. HDMI cord is included. 2 HDMI ports allows you connect multiple devices at the same time. Cons: The price point isn't outrageous, but you can find other comparable models at lower prices. HDMI is the only connection type available. Overall, this is an excellent option for anyone looking for a new monitor. It will perform well for any purpose that you need. Just be sure that purpose involves a device that outputs with HDMI.
