Great for beginners
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This machine looks really slick and modern, super fancy shmancy. The price was a little steep, but after using it for almost a month, I think it was worth it. The coffee brews easily. The espresso is straight forward and tastes great. The steamer/frother is not amazing, but it works and we enjoy it. We are by no means experts in coffee and espresso, more beginners in the realm of these types of machines and not buying it from a coffee shop. Anyway, I would say its worth the price if you drink coffee and/or espresso regularly. I tend to go for espresso while my wife enjoys coffee more, so this keeps down clutter by only needing one machine to do both.

Easy to use, great taste, no more Starbucks visits
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. We were really hesitant to buy this machine, especially after reading the reviews on Amazon. I insisted on going with a Breville but my wife wanted to give DeLonghi a try..... We love it....The coffee tastes amazing...She is able to make almost all the coffees that we regularly buy from Starbucks and there is literally no difference between the tastes... I would definitely recommend this machine to anyone who loves to drink coffee.....

decent entry level espresso machine
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.drip brew side is pretty slow to brew a full pot compared to other basic coffee makers I've had, but does a good job of not letting grounds through the filter and into the pot like other ones (even when using super fine grounds) The espresso/cappuccino side is a little labor intensive, and not as intuitive as it could be. The instructions are missing important information for people who have never made cappuccino or espresso before. One would assume that when it came time to actually pull the shot, when you hit the button, it would be a preset amount of water pumped into your cup. Nope. When you press the button to start, it just keeps pouring until you turn it off manually. Thats fine, but the instructions don't tell you how long you should pour, how much it should be. Just says to basically do whatever you want, and just figure it out on your own.

Good for price
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. There are better espresso makers out there, but for the price it’s a pretty good value. It’s compact and fits on our country nicely (we have limited counter space). As long as you prepare your beans properly you can get a good espresso with a nice crema. The milk steamer can only handle a small amount of milk and it must be ice cold for it to work. For the casual espresso drinker this is a good machine, but if you’re looking for the best you’re going to have to spend a little more. Overall I am happy with this purchase and would recommend it for a casual espresso drinker but not for a connoisseur.

Makes great coffee.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Espresso takes a little practice to understand. getting espresso, then frothing the milk. Wanted one machine for espresso and regular coffee. Great for that, but not as easy as a single user of pods. Still learning.

Great starter espresso machine
||Posted . Owned for 1.5 years when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The drip Coffee brewing is excellent. The timer works really well for when you want to wake up to a fresh cup of coffee. The filter is also reusable which is a huge plus. The espresso maker I also very good for the price. I found out that Bustelo is the perfect grind and roast that works best for my taste.

It's Good not Great
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I will give a honest review on this I do like the machine but has some flaws. 1. The heating element on the coffee side does not heat like my old Mr. Coffee did, I find myself either having to use hot water or putting in the microwave for 1 minute. 2. You can't clean the water tank on the coffee side as its built into the machine so if you get coffee grounds in there or just want to clean it you can't so be careful. 3. As many have said already you have to babysit the expresso side otherwise it will keep going lol...but that it's livable. Overall I still enjoy the machine and makes a great cup of coffee and I have an espresso shot every morning or when I need a jolt lol...Good purchase!! Oh and don't forget to empty that expresso drip tray everyday after using or water will be on your counter.

Wonderful all in one device
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It's a little tricky to learn how to operate, but once you get the hang of it, it's easy to use. I like that I can make either coffee or espresso relatively quickly when I choose.

Coffee, expresso, and cappuccino from one machine
||Posted . Owned for 1 year when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. We use this machine daily for coffee preparation. Set it up at night and it automatically brews a pot of coffee in the morning. The espresso machine is easy to use and makes great tasting drinks. No problem with back flow of cream into the steamer.

Great first espresso machine
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Overall the unit performs as expected. Great auto drip coffee. Espresso is decent for the price point. It is not a prosumer level unit by any means but solid unit and good coffee. De’Longhi makes good products. Fairly easy to clean for a beginner.

Great machine but...
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The machine is great, but it came with little instructions so it was kinda frustrating to navigate at the beginning. The steamer does not heat the milk, it foams it but it does not heat it. I don't know if I have a problem with my machine or this is a general thing.

Loving the new coffee maker
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. We've only had this for a couple of weeks, but my husband loves the coffee maker/espresso maker. Makes the coffee quickly and the espresso too! He thinks the flavor is better than before. It was easy to set up, easy to use. The espresso water reservoir is a nice size so you don't have to keep refilling it all the time. We did a lot of research on a ton of different brands and decided this would be our best choice. We wanted the combination of espresso and coffee maker to cut down on counter space needed and this works! Not outrageously expensive and seems to be a good quality. So far, no regrets!

Decent espresso machine
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Does what it needs to do as far as espresso and coffee. Easy to use and straight forward. I bought this with the intention to stop buying coffee and espresso at coffee shops. I bought it on special so it was worth waiting for a while.

Great espresso starter for beginners
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. Not complicated to use and having the ability to make both coffee and espresso is a great feature. Helps save of counter space by not having two separate appliances

Ehhh
||Posted . Owned for 1.5 years when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Let me begin by saying. I’ve owned this machine for 2 years next month. I wanted to make espresso and stop spending money at Starbucks. At first this was great. I made my lattes and my husband got his drip coffee. Then the steamer stopped working. This machine gets cleaned after every use. Specially after making my lattes. I didn’t want to return it since I no longer had the box. Been using it to make drip coffee only. (Expensive drip coffee if you ask me) I tested it a couple months later and it worked again. I was stoked ! Then again like last time stops working. Till this day it has not worked again. Super bummed because it was expensive. Definitely don’t recommend.

Great combo coffee maker
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Sleek styling and takes up minimal space on the counter. Easy to use and the milk frother does a great job. Only downside is the carafe holds 10 cups versus 12.

Pretty good but with room for improvement
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The espresso portion of this unit worked flawlessly, the brew comes out perfectly foamed and the respectably sized water reservoir and on/off button means you can keep going as far you want with the water. The brewed coffee portion of the unit also works very well, and includes a slow-drip mode that is supposed to make richer coffee. My only complaint about the machine is that it doesn't appear to turn off the brewed coffee heater automatically. So if you forget to shut it off, you'll burn your coffee in it. Surprised that DeLonghi didn't design for this otherwise top notch machine.
