I must say I absolutely love this AVR, I've had it now for over a year and I am totally satisfied the fact that it has HDR 4K Dolby Vision Dolby Atmos DTS x, is a win win and for the price you just can't beat it I would highly recommend for anyone to pick this bad boy up you will not be disappointed.

My last receiver from 1980's was used to power the sound system for our home which was built in 2000. Lightning knocked out the receiver, phone, and chimney, so this was the replacement. It powered the speakers in all the rooms, the sound system in the tv area and worked well with older equipment and skill set. Highly recommend.

Truly passes 4K on ports. Had to upgrade my onkyo and this had more ports that would do it than anything else.

Not an overwhelming amount of learning, but I don't feel that I'm missing any options. Sound is great and easy to change options on the fly without feeling like you need to review the manual Only thing I'm missing is having the remote be universal, but I guess that will be another purchase...

I recently upgraded to this AVR from my Denon 2112CI that was about 6 years old. This this is a beast! I use it for 5.1 in my entertainment area, and zone 2 for my patio setup. It's nice to be able to stream wirelessly to the receiver directly, and wifi is a huge plus!

I like the receiver but the whole HEOS functionality is a bit of a downer. Don't want to have to use a separate app that can then connect to your other apps with more limited functionality to stream stuff. Rather just hit the cast button on a google chromecast supported app and cast to receiver. Sound wise it is nice though.

Not to sure about this yet. 2 complaints so far. When I listen to radio only the stereo speaks work. Sub and other speakers stay off if I'm not watching a movie in surround sound. Other issue is sound is to quiet with my Polk tower speakers

Upgraded for 4k and this receiver is super easy to setup and use. I had an older Denon receiver and this new one has pretty much the same setup features, just with an updated look. Quick setup time out of the box and the initial on screen and does everything for you

The Denon AVR 830 is a classy a/v receiver - well worth the money. Quite substantial but well constructed and has a wring labelling sheet to code and mark all the inputs and outputs - sound quality excellent - HEOS not used yet but next on the list

Receivers in general can be a finicky piece of equipment on occasion, and this guy is not without the occasional hiccup of its own that will require a power off and on. But this is one of the best receivers I have ever owned - its feature list stands out above many others in its price range. It also comes ready to work with Dolby Vision HDR, which - at the time of purchase - was very hard for me to find. At least at a reasonable price point and with all of the features I desired. Since purchase, Denon has released 2 firmware updates to improve its overall functionality and stability even further. Bottom line - I am very satisfied with this receiver, and I'm certain that you would be hard pressed to find another receiver around this price point that could out-perform this guy.

I bought this to replace an aging Onkyo receiver. It has all the latest bells and whistles like 4K pass-through, Dolby Atmos and DTS:X. Plenty of hdmi ports in and outputs enough power for my home theater.

Operates theatre speakers and central ceiling speakers in 2 other rooms. Bluetooth maintains connection without having to constantly reconnect. Only used FM selection a few times, mainly for Pandora and movies.

Setting up the receiver with my TV, BlueRay, speakers, CD player was straight forward and fairly easy. I have had the receiver and new Sony TV about a month now and everything has been working well.
