I enjoyed this movie as a kid so it was great to have it for my movie collection. The pre-Lord of the Rings film holds up nicely for a fantasy adventure with wizardry and dragon story.

Saw this movie years ago. Was better than i remember. I like a good movie for my granddaughters where a woman is the hero.

This is an oldie but a goody. A true fantasy adventure and shows you just how difficult and dangerous it is to face a dragon.

I couldn't find this movie anywhere and best buy had it!! A great old classic movies are not made like this anymore. Thanks Best Buy!!

My origional DVD copy was borrowed away and never returned, time for a replacement - too bad they changed the cover art but still a good movie even after so many years.

SO many memories of this movie. Can't wait to show it to my kids!

This is, without doubt, one of my all-time favorite movies. This flick needs a Blu-ray release. Badly. Why it never got one is beyond me. (maybe 'cause it's a collaboration twixt Disney & Paramount)? But it needs one very badly. The effects in this fantasy movie are some of the best I've ever seen, especially for 1981. Real effects & sets, not CGI. A perfect cast -- every character looks their part perfectly. The sets, the garb -- everything's carefully crafted. Most importantly -- the non-CGI dragon looks amazing. I own this DVD, but knowing it's still here at Best Buy, I might buy it again soon, in case anything happens to my decades' old one. C'mon Disney and/or Paramount: Release this on 1080p Blu-ray, at least. This and "Mr. Frost" with Jeff Goldblum are my most wanted HD movies. (actually, Mr. Frost never even got a DVD release).
