I lost my very expensive, audiologist fitted hearing aids a year ago when my luggage was lost during a trip. I hesitated spending a lot of money again for a new set since I was getting by without any real problems. After a social function where I found myself asking people to repeat what they had said a lot, I decided to get new aids. After doing some research I read about the newly FDA approved over the counter hearing aids. Cost wise I found that most of them were much, much cheaper than the ones I got at the audiologist. I decided to buy the Eargo-5 Self-Fitting hearing aids at Best Buy. I had some doubts about the effectiveness of the devices at improving hearing, but found that they were just as good as the ones I had before. For me the big advantage of the Eargo-5 aids is that they fit IN the ear completely. The devices I had before were over the ear and they were constantly getting loose when I talked, chewed, or turned my head. Every time a put on or took off a hat I had to readjust them. I have had the Eargo-5 aids for a couple of months now and I am totally satisfied with them.

Theses are the best hearing aids ever. I have had the traditional ones which have the pick up on the outside of the ear so if you wear glasses they are always making contact which is very loud. So when I saw the EARGOs on display at Best Buy I said I have to try those so I called the number right there on display and a human answered. There support is second to none. These devices are so awesome and powerful great sound several levels of volume. They are easy to use

Good sound, somewhat difficult to adjust the volume which produces metallic tones

They suit my needs because I need hearing aids that fit inside the ear and don't wrap around (due to wearing glasses).

battery last about 12 hours before recharge so if you get up at 7 am at 9pm usually get low battery warning

Comfortable to wear, use and had greatly improved my hearing .

The device works well and Eargo provides excellent customer support. The downside of the product is that you cannot make/take calls or listen to music using Bluetooth.

I needed to repair or replace a pair of prescription in-ear hearing aids due to age. Eargo seemed like a great option for the cost. The eargos definitely do a good job of amplifying audio, but they will never reach the level of audio quality you get from a properly tuned prescription hearing aid. I ultimately returned these for a few reasons. Mainly, the audio was very reverb heavy and unnatural sounding. I spent a lot of time tweaking the settings and could not get to a point that was comfortable. The “hearing professionals” they have on staff can do nothing to actually help given the limited amount of control you have over fine tuning audio. I would only recommend these if you cant afford prescribed hearing aids

Could get used to tin/eco sound but the batteries don't last at all

Metallic sounding audio, very poor customer service, and only get support for 1 year. I regret buying these, don't waste your money! Over priced, over rated, disappointing poor quality product. In under a year, BOTH devices failed on Eargo only replaced one.

Virtually unnoticeable, no need to purchase batteries and phone pairing make this the best hearing aid of 2022. My wife cried after she went from the old behind the ear to the Eargo.

Update on my previous review. I mistakenly copied and pasted a negative review for another product. BestBuy does not allow editing of reviews. Here is what I meant to post: While in the military, I was unintentionally exposed to some very loud explosions. Later, I spent a fair amount of time in aviation, where I experienced rapid altitude changes on a regular basis. Both of these factors lead to what is referred to as baro trauma or Eustachian tube dysfunction. Because fluid cannot drain from my Eustachian tubes they become blocked and as a result I am almost deaf. I am astonished at being able to hear, again. Eargo hearing aids are amazing. I love that they can’t be seen and they are very comfortable.

I purchased Eargo 5 hearing aides November 2022. The support and follow up with Eargo was very good. I set them up using their app on my phone and had a follow up phone call with one of the audiologists to make sure they working properly. They are very comfortable to wear and a couple of times I wore them in the shower. Never had a problem with them. They stay charged about 12 hours for me but recharge quickly. I wash the little petals daily and it does help with hearing clearly. Very glad I made the purchase as I now hear higher frequencies I missed before and can now hear people in the car ( my wife) over the road noise.

I bought the Eargo 5 this past January 2023. I had previously had overthe ear type hearing aid. If you wear glass' , you know the problems that ocur. Since wearing my Eargo's, I couldn't be more pleased. They are very comfortable to wear, and the different levels of sound attenuation make such an improvement in my everyday hearing . I think back on older hearing aids I had bought, and I'm sorry that I wasted that much money. For the cost of Eargo, you get a state of the art , top of thre line , hearing device. I am extremely pleased and highly recmmend this product.

As a physician I understand the critical importance of auditory satisfaction. I have been using Eargo products for over three years and find them to be most helpful. The Eargo 5's in particular offer a wide range of adjustments with significant clarity in both treble and bass phonetics. Ease of insertion and fit are accomplished with minimal energy. The staff is readily accessible and always helpful. It is without hesitation that I endorse Eargo 5's.

I have been wearing hearing aids for many years now. I have worn molded in the ear hearing aids and behind the ear aids, neither of which I really liked. I was skeptical of buying hearing aids online. But I am so glad I tried Eargos. They’ve made such a difference in my life. I no longer have to change batteries and I can hear my wife and grandkids clearly now. The sound quality is amazing! They are easy to adjust and are very comfortable. If you need hearing aids, give these a try. You won't be sorry.

I love my Eargo's! I've have them for 2 years & I don't think any hearing aid is perfect but I choose these over my other set that cost more than double. Great service as well. Highly recommend
