Just installed 3 of these bad boys. The look and work great!

Think of the cool factor of the first time you used an iphone - or some other great piece of technology. Sure.. its a thermostat. But it allows you to save money on heating/cooling costs, set programs specific to your location in the home, has a great mobile app, and a user community that is very engaged. Very well done.

This thermostat was incredible to begin with and has been improving with each firmware update that has been pushed out. The new 3.6 firmware has allowed significant amounts of customization and statistical reporting to allow you to see what changes you can make to improve your homes energy efficiency.

My EcoBee is my breakout technology gadget of 2014. My house has a more consistent temperature, the remote sensors see to that. The Website's back end data is a place for deep dive into the HVAC needs of my home. The no-extra-fee cell phone control is the icing on that cake.

The ecobee3 was amazingly easy to setup and use. I love the ability to easily control it from my iPhone and the energy usage reports that I can download from the ecobee website are very helpful. Everyone should install one of these smart thermostats in their home!

I’ve saved $20-25 a month so far with the smart away feature. The remote sensors make sure the proper areas of the house are comfortable. Accessing your thermostat remotely is way more useful than I expected. And, the ecobee3 collects so many useful metrics.

The remote senors on this is what lead me to buy it. All the extras are making it even better. The new 3.6 software update make it even better. Very happy with the reporting to give me insights into the HVAC at my house. Much better than the Nest I had.

Don't waste your time looking for other "smart" thermostats that can only monitor the temperature in a single room. For the most granular control or for the easiest setup, this is the one to buy.

This was the only internet connected thermostat to use a remote sensors I could find. The follow me feature using the motion/temp sensors is great! My issue is the broken humidity frost control functionality. The windows will get all iced over during cold snaps that arrive in 3-4 days do to a flawed average outdoor temp algorithm. If you don't need the stat to control winter humidification it is great!

Bought this with a "Deal of the Day" promotion and have enjoyed it since. User friendly, easy install, great app compatibility, and great historical reports on energy use. I save money monthly with this, my temperature is better regulated and more regular, and my humidity level is perfect. Even my HVAC company that services my system say that the Ecobee is the best on the market.

This is the smart thermostat you want to buy. Forget the Nest and the Lyric, this has everything you need for actual, practical energy savings and control. You found it, buy it.

I needed a way to access the thermostat remotely and have remote sensors to monitor rooms that did not have thermostats in them. Prior to getting the ecobee, I had pipes burst in side rooms. Since the ecobee, those rooms have their own wireless sensors that turn on the heat when the rooms get too cold.

Unit was extremely easy to install. Tech support really excelled in answering any pre sale and post sale questions.

Love it. Get one. Don't forget the extra sensors. Will work fine with none, better with one, super cool with many!

Ecobee is what people buy if they like the idea of Nest but want something that actually works reliably.

I bought 2 of these ecobee3 thermostats and I love them. They are the ultimate in cool smart home electronics.

Straight forward install. great feedback from product on how your house operates. highly recommended.

Installed fairly easily, but the thermometer showed the temp in the room to be 4 to 5 degrees higher than it actually was. I checked using an analog thermometer. Consequently, the thermostat wouldn't turn the heat on unless I cranked it higher. Exchanged it for the Nest and had no problems.
