Best thermostat you can get! Works great with HomeKit

I am using this in a 4 bedroom, trilevel house and it replaced a basic thermostat that was probably 20 years old. The ability to have the thermostat average the temperature across different sensors is extremely effective at cooling the house. I also like how it will adjust the temperature based off the cost of electricity, precooling the house when the electricity is cheaper so the hvac will not need to run electricity prices go up.

This thermostat is infuriating. The temperature sensor apparently sleeps, so I wake up cold and when I check the thermostat temperature, it shows that it's at the temperature I chose in my comfort settings. I'll crank it up a bit because I am cold, the heater kicks in, and within minutes the thermostat adjusts to indicate that the temperature is actually up to 10 degrees below what it was showing when I woke up. 10 degrees is absolutely unacceptable. I also got the doorbell and the amount of time it takes for video to show on the thermostat is ridiculous, but apparently to be expected since the doorbell itself takes forever to show video in the app. People will literally ring the doorbell, wait for an answer, and leave, before the app manages to show video. I wanted to help a company grow but it has been a terrible mistake. I never had such issues with Nest and at this point I will be throwing this thermostat away and stick with Google instead. The doorbell has already been replaced for a number of reasons. If you actually need your smart electronics to work, I do not recommend this company. They also charged me for an annual subscription that never worked, and then charged me for a monthly subscription. When I realized this and requested a refund, they told me that they sadly couldn't help me because I got it through Apple. Apple did not offer the refund because a couple months had passed, and how this company managed to not realize I was double-paying is beyond me. They stuck with wondering with me what could possibly have gone wrong and never offered any solution. Just frustrating.

This is a terrific thermostat. I love that I can control it from anywhere on my phone.

We love being able to set our temp while away, and being able to access everything from our phones.

I only rated because i had toi stall their power adapter because there was no c wire. Strange because my nest 3 didnt need anything special and it powered up without having to tear into the furnace side on the controlls. Works about the same as nest. Not sure which one i like better.

My energy bills have gone down thanks to this thermostat. I have excellent control of my HVAC system no matter where I’m at whether I’m at home or away from home. The smart sensors are the underrated part of the package.

Easy to install and great for those who care about automation.

As a young adult living in an apartment complex, I find it important for myself to remain nice and cool in a building environment. But be able to live comfortably as well. The ecobee has been helpful and maintaining a schedule to make sure it remains cool during waking hours and cozy during sleeping hours. Highly recommend!

I really like this thermostat. Adjusting everything from my phone is easy.

The thermostat is easy to install, you have support from ecobee if you get stuck. Or works well with Google assistant and Alexa

Good smart programmable thermostat. Almost have all the fuction Nest got to offer with an extra sensor in room to control the temperature.

This was an upgrade of an older Ecobee thermostat. It integrates seamlessly with HomeKit and the Hey Siri feature is an added bonus.
