She can be disabled if you done). The extra sensor tracks temps and motion in other parts of the house, improving it's ability to adjust temperature when no one is around. It's easy to use from the thermostat interface, or from the App. It will require a "C" wire for power, but if you only have 4 wires, it has an adapter that is easy to install to pull 24v power from the C-wire in your furnace and supply it to the thermonstat.
