The Epson ET-3930 Wireless All-in-One Color Supertank Printer is designed with both aesthetics and practicality in mind. It features a sleek, compact profile that fits comfortably on a standard desk without monopolizing valuable workspace. The finish resists fingerprints, maintaining a professional appearance even in high-traffic households or offices.
The control panel, is a small LCD touchscreen, is intuitive and responsive. Physical buttons are minimized, contributing to a streamlined look. One paper tray holds a great amount of paper and is easy to access, supporting a range of sizes from envelopes to legal documents. Overall, the construction feels sturdy, with well-aligned components that move smoothly during operation. The auto feature of the output tray is a neat feature. You send a print to the printer and the paper cassette/output tray door opens and the output tray automatically extends and when printing is complete the tap of a button retracts the output tray and shuts the paper cassette/output tray door.
One of the highlights of the ET-3930 is the user-friendly setup. Out of the box, this printer comes with clear, step-by-step instructions. Plugging in the device and connecting it to Wi-Fi takes mere minutes, thanks to on-screen guides and mobile applications provided by the manufacturer. Most users will appreciate the option to set up via smartphone app, which allows for a cable-free experience and immediate integration with cloud printing services. I used my mobile device for setup and later made my connection to our laptops.
When it comes to print quality, the ET-3930 excels in delivering sharp text and vibrant graphics and it produces documents that are professional in appearance, with precise character definition and clear contrast. Color accuracy is commendable, making it suitable for presentations, brochures, or even casual photo printing. During setup the printer will print a test page, you take that test page and place it on the scanner. Once the test page has been scanned the printer will automatically adjust the printer alignment and color/contrast for the best quality print.
Photographic prints, though not matching the depth and detail of dedicated photo printers, still exhibit lifelike colors and smooth gradients. The printer handles complex images well, preventing banding or unwanted streaks, especially when high-quality paper is used. For typical home or office tasks—such as printing reports, homework, or web pages, the output meets or exceeds expectations.
Print speed is a crucial metric for many users. This model delivers respectable performance, churning out black-and-white documents at a rate of approximately 18 pages per minute (ppm) and color documents at around 9 ppm. First-page-out time is competitive, meaning you’re not left waiting while the printer warms up. This was a constant issue with our previous (competitor’s alleged quality) printer.
Duplex printing (automatic double-sided printing) is included and operates seamlessly, contributing to paper conservation. The device’s quiet operation is a welcome feature.
Versatility is a defining characteristic of this printer. In addition to traditional USB connectivity, it supports wireless options such as Wi-Fi. This means users can print directly from smartphones and tablets.
Scanning and copying functions are robust, with the flatbed scanner producing high-resolution digital copies with a very slight difference in the copy. Scanning and copying from a flatbed scanner/copier is a slow process with having to place a single print on the scanner/copier bed as opposed to an automatic document feeder. I attempted to take a picture of the original and the copy. However, again, the difference is so slight it would be hard to see in a photo of the document.
The ongoing cost of consumables, ink and toner cartridges remain a significant expense, and potential buyers should consider the printer’s efficiency in this regard. The ET-3930 boasts the EcoTanks which eliminate the old frequency of cartridge replacements and lower the cost of printing. Refilling ink is easy with the large ink tanks and the uniquely keyed EcoFit bottles. There is no mess and no chance of mixing up the ink bottles.
Pros and Cons
• Pros:
• High-quality text and color printing
• Fast setup and intuitive controls
• Wireless and mobile connectivity options
• Efficient scanning and copying features
• EcoTank ink tanks
• Simple ink refilling with EcoFit bottles
Cons:
• Photo print quality, while good, doesn’t match dedicated photo printers
The ET-3930 home office printer is a well-rounded device that adeptly balances print quality, speed, and connectivity. Its thoughtful design, ease of use, and broad feature-set make it a strong contender for anyone seeking a reliable printing solution. While the ongoing cost of consumables should be factored in any purchase decision, the overall value offered by this printer is substantial.
We had issues with our previous (Competitor’s tank printer) continually losing the wi-fi connection, also, issues printing from our mobile devices. We assumed it was our wi-fi and/or the location of the printer even though we had moved the printer to a few different locations in our office.
The Epson ET-3930 has not lost the wi-fi connection to date and printing from our mobile devices has been flawless.

The Epson EcoTank ET-3930 is designed for people who are tired of cartridge drama and want something more economical for high-volume home or small business printing. I like the clean, modern look; it’s not an eyesore on the desk and actually looks decent in a home office. Setup is about as easy as it gets—fill the keyed ink tanks (can’t mess up the colors), connect to Wi-Fi or USB, walk through the app prompts, and you’re off and running.
Wireless setup went okay, and the printer held its network connection without fuss. For scanning, copying, and regular document printing, it just works, and it’s relatively quiet even during long jobs. It is pretty slow to me but for 1 to 5 sheet prints, it’s fast enough for most.
The EcoTank’s biggest win is the ink system. Those bottles are simple and basically mess-free if you don’t force it. The cost per page is ridiculously low compared to cartridges. Most people can go months—or even over a year—before refilling, and supposedly, the ink levels actually seem to last forever. It makes a huge difference in ongoing cost, especially if you’re printing thousands of pages. Black-and-white prints are sharp and professional with near laser sharpness with inkjet paper; color is strong for everyday work and graphics. Photo prints are perfectly acceptable for intermittant use, definitely not pro-level, but great for family albums or school projects. This is a 4 color printer so it wouldn’t be great for archival prints. This is also not the printer you would use for 500 sheet dissertations or for a busy law office.
There are some trade-offs. There’s NO automatic document feeder, so scanning or copying multi-page documents is a manual process. First-page-out speeds for color-heavy jobs are glacially slow, and for truly premium photo output, you’d need a more specialized printer with more colors. For most productivity, work, or school use, this thing is just fine.
Maintenance matters a bit more on EcoTank than with cartridge printers. You’ll need to swap out the maintenance box if you print a lot, and it’s worth running off a couple pages a week to avoid any chance of dried-out print heads. Neglect it, and you might end up running a cleaning cycle or two—which is easy but takes time. Fortunately, the maintenance box is fairly cheap coming in at less than $10, so compared to carts, it’s still a savings.
If you’re crafty or run a small business, you CAN convert the ET-3930 for sublimation printing. Once you convert, you’re locked into sublimation mode and the Epson warranty’s gone, but for DIY shirts, mugs, and gifts, it’s something you can do with EcoTank, and why a lot of people like this printer (including me). I haven’t done it to this printer yet, but I’m glad to know that I can.
If you print a lot and want low-hassle, low-cost color for work, the ET-3930 is a big upgrade from cart-based inkjets. It’ll save you a ton and just keep working.

Very Good AiO Printer with Excellent Ink Cost

Initial Impressions:
This is a compact, lightweight printer that is good for a small home office. Connectivity options are good and the included software and available app are fairly simple to use. Print quality is typical Epson – Very good. Scan quality is typical for this class of printer. Good but not great. Print and scan speeds are OK but nothing spectacular. The best thing about this printer is the EcoTank Ink. I hate having to keep track of cartridges. This system is so much simpler and less expensive. It might be difficult to go back to cartridge printers. Just note, because the ink is so inexpensive, this printer will cost more up front than other printers in this class but less in the long run.
Setup:
Setup is mostly straight forward but it took longer than I expected. After unpacking and taking the protective tape off the printer, Epson wants you to download their app to continue with the setup. The app starts off asking you to approve gathering of usage statistics by Google. Not a fan of Googles privacy practices so I said no for now.
While setting up the WiFi network connection, the app asks you for your network information. The network password is not masked when entering in app and it is visible when entering and on a confirmation screen. It should be masked with an option to view. Also, the app doesn’t confirm the network before trying to connect. My phone was on the guest network (for some reason) and I almost set it up on that which would have caused communication issues. Other than those issues, the app works well. It looks like it uses AI to guide the setup. I switched networks in the middle of setup and the app saw that and restarted the procedure.
Printer “Initialization” takes 10 minutes and uses almost 1/4 of the ink you initially add. It also takes about 90 seconds to fill the black ink tank which is noticeable larger than the color tanks. The color tanks take less than a minute to fill. There is still some ink left in the bottle to top off the tanks after initialization.
Setup took a long time. Almost an hour with all the downloading, clicking through guides on my phone and computer, agreeing (or disagreeing) to terms and conditions, privacy notices, requests for sending information for usage diagnostics, updating firmware, downloading and installing software, etc. Once set up, through the app, you need to connect the printer to your PC. This is where the software didn’t quite work as well as the app. I had already connected my printer to my network with the app. The PC setup software tried to make me connect again, but because this was already setup, the printer screen did not match the on-screen guide. Eventually I just clicked through the setup prompts and got to a point that match what I saw on the printer’s screen. The rest of the setup went smoothly.
The PC software setup gives you the option to install some utility software and a nice, simple program for printing your photos and creating some simple projects. The app includes a way to print photos and documents directly from your phone. Both programs worked well.
Using the Printer:
It’s a printer and a scanner and it does both as expected. There is a mechanical output tray that is a bit gimmicky. When you turn on the printer and print for the first time, the tray automatically pops out of the printer. You push a button to retract it. It works but a manual tray is less likely to have future issues and comes out and pushes in quicker than this mechanical solution. It does tuck itself away when you turn the printer off but when it is out, it is difficult to get to the paper tray unless to manually retract it.
I wish it had a touch screen like all my other printers do. This one has soft touch bubble buttons to control actions on the screen. It works but it’s not ideal. I would rather have a touch screen than the mechanical output tray.
Printing Photos from App is very easy. You just need to make sure paper type (plain, photo, etc.) is properly selected. This prevented me from printing when I tried printing on regular paper. The default in the app is photo paper.
Print quality is good on plain paper and typical Epson. It is very good on glossy photo paper. Epson knows how to print photos. Just note that this is a 3 color, 1 black ink printer. The better photo printers have additional ink colors for better color reproduction. If you are a serious photographer, this might not be good enough for you.
The printer has duplex printing built in. This is a fantastic feature that worked great. The paper handling has been top notch so far.
Scanning, as noted earlier, is good but more utility grade than production grade. It is no better or worse than other printers in this class. One thing I need to get used to is the location of the arrow indicating where to lay the sheets you want to scan. It is in the opposite corner from all the other scanners I use. I do wish it had an automatic document feeder. That is the one option I wish I had gotten.
Conclusion:
As noted earlier, this is a good printer as most Epson products are. It’s perfectly functional with one killer feature – EcoTank! While I would prefer a model with a document feeder, this model is perfect for someone that doesn’t need to scan multipage documents and doesn't need the absolute best print quality.

SuperTank All-in-1 Inkjet printer - so much better

Epson EcoTank ET-3930 Wireless All-in-One Color Supertank Inkjet Printer
Epson EcoTank ET-3930 is a compact All-in-One at approximately 7.5 x 15 x 14 inches and weighs in at 12.6 pounds. The printer features a pop-out print tray and a tilt-up control panel, and it supports automatic two-sided printing. The scanner is a Color flatbed (CIS photo sensor) capable of scanning an 8.5" x 11.7" document. It uses an upgraded version of the ‘PrecisionCore® Heat-Free technology, offering a duty cycle that’s twice as robust as its predecessor. Unlike conventional thermal inkjet printers, its unique permanent printhead is engineered to last the life of the printer,’ according to the Epson documentation. The printhead is a 4-color (CMYK), drop-on-demand MicroPiezo® inkjet technology/PrecisionCore 1S printhead. The Printer is equipped with ink tanks instead of the old ink cartridges, which were more costly because each cartridge carried both ink and electronics, and the cartridges were small without a whole lot of ink. With the SuperTank ink system, each tank is filled easily from a uniquely keyed bottle that one inserts into the top of the appropriate tank, and it fills the tank and then stops filling automatically – no fuss, no muss, and no mix-ups. Included are 1 Black, 1 Cyan, 1 Magenta, and 1 Yellow ink bottles. These bottles are not little samples but are the standard size, which will provide plenty of ink for your immediate needs for quite some time. Going to the SuperTank technology also results in less waste material than conventional inkjet printers, with Epson stating that each ink bottle is equivalent to about 90 individual cartridges.
Setup is easy with the use of the Epson Smart Panel® app, which can help you set up your printer through an interactive, step-by-step process using your smartphone or tablet. After setup, you’ll be able to print and scan directly from the app. You can manually set up the printer with the touch screen on the printer and just run the download for the printer drivers on your PC / Laptop if you prefer.
Connectivity is through built-in USB and Wi-Fi 5, capable of connecting to multiband routers, and an Ethernet port (10/100 Mbps). Many other “modern-day” printers do not come standard with USB printer ports and Wi-Fi 5. I am amazed at how many printers still only support Wi-Fi 2.4GHz connection and don’t come with USB Connectivity.
The printer can handle a wide variety of paper and also handles envelopes. Increased paper and card stock support is reported in the specs for this printer, including heavier paper such as premium photo paper glossy, and ultra premium photo paper glossy. Paper capacity is 250 sheets of plain paper, 20 sheets of photo paper, and 10 envelopes.
Print quality is decent, with a print resolution of 4800 x 1200. Text printing is clean and crisp. There are some limitations to having only three colors, plus black, for color printing. Photo prints on plain paper are acceptable. Photo Quality output is improved by using higher-quality photo paper. Paper output size is relegated to a maximum paper size of 8.5" x 14", with the output tray capacity of 30 sheets of plain paper.
The scanner is a color flat-bed style with a maximum Scan Bed Size of 8.5" x 11.7" and is capable of a hardware resolution of 1200 x 2400 dpi. One thing to keep in mind is that this scanner does not have a multi-sheet feed.

Nice Printer but Do I Want an Auto Doc Feeder Too?

The Epson - EcoTank ET-3930 Wireless All-in-One Color Supertank Ink in white is a very user-friendly and likable printer. Right off the bat, you notice that this printer takes up little real estate and is lightweight-the dimensions are 7.4" H x 14.8" W x 13.7" D and has an LCD screen size of 2.4" with a weight of 12.6 lbs. The paper tray holds up to 250 pages, and the printer speed is 18 ppm for black and 9 ppm for color. Per the specs, this printer is recommended for a duty cycle up to 10,000 pages of printing per month.
Be prepared to spend time, about 45 minutes to 1 hour, give or take, to go through the set up. The paper startup guide wants you to download the Epson App and use that to go through the set up, but that was not working well for me, so I followed the set up instructions on the LCD screen and it kept prompting me to use the soft touch "OK" in the middle of the up/down, right/left arrows on the Proceed button. Gradually, you go step to step. After you load the individually labelled eco tanks, it takes about 11 minutes for the machine to load and charge them. Then, the paper tray that the printed paper comes out onto, automatically comes out and the user is directed to load the paper for printing. Wi-Fi connection was seamless, as well as Bluetooth connection to my computer. I have remotely copied using the android app that I downloaded from the Google Play Store. I have scanned from the flatbed bed wirelessly to my computer and printed that file and saved it to the desktop.
So, why I am happy with this unit? The set up is easy, although is time-consuming, the use is simple to understand, the product is nice, and most of all, the longevity of the ink is long, and not nearly as costly as the usual ink cartridges. However, the price of the Epson machine is higher at the start, a trade off in this instance because the bottles of ink in black, cyan, and magenta are very affordable. In fact, I looked it up and the black replacement ink is a larger bottle since you need more and the well is larger to accommodate that, while the cyan, magenta, and the yellow are in smaller containers and come together in the package of 3.
I received the 3930 model that is the base model for this eco printer, being smallest in size and weight. There is a midline model, the 3950, for a little more money and sized a little bit larger, weighting a bit more, that has the ADF, but has the same printer features in all other ways. Finally, there is the 4950 model that is the largest weighing the most that also has an ADF costing a bit more that the 3950.
As of right now, I do recommend this printer, but I would think about whether or not the ADF might be useful to you long term and if that additional money is warranted. The Epson has a good reputation and i believe that they stand behind their printers. I looked on the internet and found that Epson provides a non-toll-free number for customer support 6 am-8 pm M-F PST and 7 am-4 pm PST.

The Epson Ecotank ET-3930 solves one of the biggest problems that has plagued printers for decades – the cost of the ink. You can always get a printer for very little money, but when it came time to replace the ink cartridges, sometimes the ink costs almost as much as the printer did!
Ecotank printers cost a little more upfront, but, they have ink tanks that hold a lot of liquid ink, instead of an arm that holds smaller ink cartridges. In the Case of the ET-3930, you can print hundreds or in some cases thousands of print jobs before you need to install more ink, bringing the overall operating costs of the printer down a lot.
This isn’t a huge printer. It’s just under 20 inches wide and deep, about 10.5 inches tall, and weighs 16.5 pounds. So it’s compact enough to fit in most places. The depth of course increases when you have the paper catch tray extended when printing. It can operate via Wi-Fi, a directly LAN cable plugged into your router, or, a USB cable plugged directly into your computer. Aside from basic printing and photo printing you can scan and copy from it as well. Note however, this model does not have a paper feed tray on top, so when scanning or copying, you will need to hand feed sheets in one at a time. There is a 2.4 inch color screen on the front, but unfortunately it’s not a touch screen, and you need to navigate around it using a series of arrows and other buttons to the side of it.
Setup was a mixed bag. Once you unpack it, you tilt the ink tank area forward, and one by one, open the ink bottles and place them into the top of each tank. They fill automatically and a window on the front shows you how much ink you have left. You get around twice the amount of black ink since that’s used most often (127 ml) and you get Cyan, Magenta, and Yellow (70 ml each). It takes around 11 or so minutes to initialize and feed the ink into the printer, so patience is a virtue. You’ll have a tiny bit of leftover ink in each bottle once full – don’t force more. Save for later. Note that the initial setup will use a noticeable amount of ink (around 1/5 to ¼ of each) but after that it sips ink, generally. Your setup is guided through the Epson Smart app via Apple or Android devices. This will also serve as a kind of control panel on your devices (phones, tablets, etc) for print, copy, and scan jobs. If you are going to use this on a desktop or laptop, you need to go to Epson’s support page and download a software package (more on that as I found this part buggy).
Eventually, you’ll have the ET-3930 set up and running. I use a Premium print paper that is 24 lbs thickness and 97 bright, and have found this type of paper to work best for ink printers as opposed to the sometimes thinner and duller standard grade copy/print paper. Black document style prints look very good. They are sharp and do not bleed, and look pretty much as good as a laser printer. The color prints are in my opinion, a bit faded and not as vibrant. You can adjust settings to make them stand out more, and if you use photo paper for photos they look better, but on documents, colors are more muted than I like. Scans come out really well and you can adjust the resolution via the app. They go straight to my phone or tablet. Making a copy of something directly on the printer is also straightforward and quick, though again, you have to navigate the screen via a pad since the screen isn’t touch (boo).
My complaints: The software for computer use seems in my experience to be quite buggy. I installed it on a desktop and a laptop to use via Wi-fi. Printing from an office program, or printing a PDF works just fine. However, if you try to scan? Nope. It keeps saying it can’t find the printer to pull a scan into the computer, though again, it prints from them just fine. The only way I’ve been able to scan directly into a computer with the ET-3930 is through a directly USB connection, but not with Wi-fi. Again however, scans work fine via the app on mobile devices. Very quirky, and a work in progress. If there were a USB port on the printer so you could save scans onto a USB drive, this could be helpful, but there is no such port on this model. Also, in 2025, there’s no excuse for not having a touch screen. Navigating via the keys is cumbersome and slow, to the point of hindering how quickly you can do certain tasks.
Overall I still like the printer. Prints are good and with tweaking, even the color prints are decent. Scans into mobile devices are good, but with Wi-fi simply aren’t working to a computer. Being able to save ink is of course the biggest plus for this printer, as well as the size and it’s relative quietness when in use. My three star rating is simply based on the computer Wi-fi issues and lack of touch screen which again, slows down certain tasks considerably, but so long as someone has some patience or may just need this to use with mobile devices or for computer document printing, I still recommend it, with reservations.

As a small business owner, I am really impressed with the Epson EcoTank ET-3930. I love the size of the Printer/Copier/Scanner is not as big as my previous brand and does just as much. It is easy to set up and use. I opted to download the Epson Smart Panel APP but you do not have to do this to use your printer. I just like my devices to do everything they are capable of. With the APP I can mobile print from my iPhone, iPad or even my Mac. It syncs seamlessly. Everything I needed to get started was in the box. I have added a photo of the contents.
This is my first experience with eco tank liquid ink. I was concerned that it would be a mess to use but I was so wrong. I did need to be careful because if I spelt any ink it would stain unless I wiped it up immediately. I am a bit shaky but I did not spill a drop. Replacement ink contains enough ink to print 8,500 pages in black or 6,500 pages in color. The color is bright and vibrant. My charts come out beautiful. Epson does recommend that you use official Epson EcoTank ink. They will not be responsible for 3rd party ink results or harm to the printer. I have every intention of only using Epson brand because I know what the results will be.
As a Mother and Grandmother I do not worry as much when the kids want to print or copy something. I used to just cringe because ink was so expensive and it ran out so fast with my other printer. The Epson EcoTank is like the Energizer Bunny. It just keeps on going.
As with all electronic devices I had to update the software. It took a few minutes but that is part of the process.
Mobile printing is a breeze and had little relay time before it printed. I love that I can print on this printer from anywhere using the APP. I do not need to be near the printer.
I have not used the FAX as I do not have a land line phone and just don't use faxes often.
This printer responds quickly to my print commands. Saving me time. The ink lasts longer than other printer inks saving me money and inconvenience. I do love this Epson EcoTank ET-3930 for both work and home.

Family printers are a tough thing to find that meet all your needs. Whether you are looking for something with a large ink reservoir or holds enough paper for your family’s needs, finding the right balance is challenging. This is where the Epson EcoTank ET-3930 fits in. This is a three-in-one printer, scanner and copier with a unique feature, they can print 6,600 pages of black and 5,500 pages of color because of the large volume of ink that can be stored. That’s an incredible amount of printing before needing to change or add ink!
Printer setup was extremely easy using my Epson Smart iPhone app. The app walked me through the process of adding ink to each of the reservoirs for yellow, red, blue and black. The app then initialize the ink for use in the printer, ran a test page and completed the EcoTank’s firmware update. All in all, it took approximately 20 minutes from start to finish to complete the setup.
The EcoTank doesn’t take up a lot of desktop real estate, measuring 14”x15”x7.5”. There is a nearly 2.5” non touch screen that has a control panel to the right of it to complete functions.
Printing can be done from your mobile device with the downloaded app or from you PC once you have installed the printer’s drivers. Documents print quickly with excellent quality, and they are presented to you on a retracting tray that can be hidden when the printer is not in use. Photo prints are clear and vibrant. Both the mobile app and the PC apps provide you with tons of ways to enhance your photos and documents. The EcoTank does double sided print with ease. Multiple page Scans or copies require you to manually change the pages on the scanner bed because the EcoTank doesn’t have a paper feed for the scanner. There is a LAN connection and printer cable connection as well.
This is a very compelling printer that would me almost any family’s needs. Having the ability to print without worrying about changing ink cartridges is a huge advantage for any family!

Lots of Ink but has a Strange Exit Tray
|

This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.
If you are tired of running out of ink and having to buy expensive cartridges then this is a great option. This “Supertank Printer” comes with a lot of ink that you can visually see in the printer vs a cartridge that you can only guess how much it holds. The overall looks and operation are great but you have to get used to the odd exit tray. With this printer a lower drawer has to be opened for the exit tray to extend out. Epson has automated this so once you print the exit tray opens the drawer and extends out. While this works fine it just looks odd vs having a dedicated exit tray like my Epson WorkForce printer had. Also if you tilt the control panel up for viewing it too leaves a major opening into the inner workings of the printer which can’t be good.
Pros:
- Eco Tank with lots of ink
- Good print quality and speed
- Scan and copy capabilities
Cons:
- The display is very small and not very clear
- The control buttons aren’t the best
- Exit tray when extended leaves the lower drawer of the printer open
Setup: Setting up the printer was easy, I downloaded the app on my iphone and just followed the steps. Filling the tanks using the included ink bottles was simple and very clean, no mess or dripped ink anywhere. Using the app I was able to get the printer on my wireless network and then I just downloaded the Epson app for my main pc. All the other pcs I just downloaded the printer drivers instead of the app. The whole process was simple and quick.
Features: The printer has a 250 sheet paper tray and can do double sided printing as well as print photos. It can be connected to your devices via WiFi, AirPrint, USB and Ethernet. It has a built in scanner that can scan documents or provide copies of originals. The printer has a small 2.4” display that can be difficult to differentiate the icons in the screen. The control buttons are soft bubble style buttons and don’t feel solid but they work fine.

Needs the Right Paper

The Epson EcoTank ET-3930 is a solid choice for a printer if you can afford the increased paper costs.
The first thing that I noticed was how light the printer was in weight. Even after adding the bottles of ink to it, it felt lighter than I expected and have experienced with most printers. An easy note in the “win” column. Filling the tanks is easy and only requires unscrewing the auto-stopping lid of the right color, popping the top off the printer tank, and letting it flll up. I didn’t spill a drop in this process.
I chose to download the Epson Smart Panel app to help me get the printer going, but it leaves a lot to be desired. It took several tries to connect to the WiFI, insisting that my phone wasn’t connected to the WiFi or internet at all. Then it struggled to find the printer so I could change any settings. It might be a pain to put this info in manually on the tiny printer screen, but it was also a pain to use the app.
On to printing - I have a 500 count pack of plain printer paper from Target that I used to try my first prints. They were way too dark compared to the on-screen image I was trying to print. I have some cardstock laying around so I put that into the printer to try. When asked to select the paper type, “cardstock” is not an option. I could only choose from the preset types of printer paper that Epson produces. I tried the closest option for “presentation matte” and hit print.
Immediate paper jam. I opened the back panel and ripped out the wasted cardstock. I tried a couple more times, making sure I had the cardstock aligned properly in the tray, trying different sizes of stacks or even one by itself. Jam, jam, jam. The printer does NOT like trying to curl up a thick piece of cardstock. There is also no multipurpose tray to try feeding it in without the paper curling up.
After some research into the Epson brand types of paper, I paid a ridiculous amount of money for 50 sheets of Epson Branded “Premium Presentation Matte” and 20 sheets of “Premium Glossy Photo” paper. The results were unfortunately positive. The picture and print quality was much clearer and more defined when printing on the Epson brand paper. So that’s good if you have a lot of money to throw on supplies, like a business, but not so good for basic home use.
The printer driver also lacks basic settings like print quality. I couldn’t find an Epson photo app to use on my computer or smart phone. When printing, all I could customize was which pages to print, double sided, etc. My computer couldn’t even show a preview. The website boasts “High 4800 x 1200 dpi print resolution,” but there was nowhere that I could confirm this high resolution was being utilized or choose a draft quality setting.
Overall, the printer is capable of good quality, but the end user experience leaves something to be desired. It didn’t outperform my existing laser printer so I’m not super motivated to make a full switch, especially if it means higher paper costs.

So far this printer is excellent, quality is great and it is communicating well with my Internet. I like how easy it is to install the ink, to print and communicate with the computer.

I have only had the printer installed for about a week or so and so far everything is working well with it. The install was fairly easy (using an app guides you through the set up process). The only concern I have so far is the ink. It says comes 2 years (I think) of and so far the process of loading the ink has used about a quarter of the tank it seems, so long term we'll see how that qorks out. Otherwise print speed is decent and quality is great.

Best printer ever - no wires to trip over and the printing is clear with accurate colors. Very easy to use - love not having to keep the printer in close proximity to the computer. So glad I gave up on my old system

I have been searching for a new printer for a while now. I did want to save money and save the earth by finding an ink tank printer. I searched everywhere and I will say first is that Best Buy had the most extensive printer selection on hand. Which made it easy to shop. Out of all of the ink tank printers I chose the ET3930 for many reasons.
1: the location of the tank and the ease of dispensing the ink
2: that the ET3930 had the largest paper tray (meaning it it held the most amount of paper) and that the paper tray is concealed.
3: The ease of use
4: The price
5: The print quality
This is a great family printer. Everyone in my family can navigate it with ease for their project needs. For me my colorful excel documents to my children's essays with pics. It's been 2 months since we purchased and have had zero problems. I am very happy with my purchase.

I am a causal printer. My previous printers have all been HP printers that have failed one way or another over the years. The super tank ink is not difficult at all. The paper tray is more convenient and reliable that the paper feed rack of my previous printers. It uses both wireless and wired connections. It works with Apple Print so I can print items from my phone. The software for the printer is easy to use. My recommendation is to read all of the instructions for setting up the printer before you start. If you follow along with each step as you are reading, you will find yourself going in circles with the software. But other than that, I am happy with my purchase.
