Excellent product if you are in the Facebook eco system but definitely gaps when you use other products. I use this for work to a certain extent but so far, it’s primarily being used to call family and friends and for the kids to ply with the in built apps

I love my Portal+, I don't use it to much, due to I'm not that computer literate, but when I do, it's simply GREAT! Not to mention easy & simple. I don't have many friends on Facebook & only a few family members, but the calling features is just marvelous! It even let's you know when your family & friends are on Facebook!

Bought this to stay in touch better with my parents in the winter when I am in Florida and they are up north. Relatively easy to set up. Was a bit unsettled when I wanted to connect it to my music program and it wanted permission to not only access my music and preferences but also to make unauthorized changes. It is a bit too invasive of my personal privacy in unwarranted areas. It is nice to keep in touch but have some concerns about privacy. Also, unless I have not accessed it properly, it does take pictures from my Facebook account and can be used as a "picture frame" but I would prefer being able to use a USB drive to load preferred pictures to view.

Younger folk get bored easily talking on a phone. The Portal keeps them engaged and broadens the experience. I consider it one of my better purchases/investments. We tried the smaller Portal but quickly exchanged it for the larger size and, then, purchased one for our kids/grandkids who live 2,000 miles away!!

Love mine and last Christmas gave on to Son and his wife that had just had their first my second Grandson. Thy live out of state but it is great watching him grow. So bought this portal to give to his other Grandma so she can I joy watching also. So it has not been opened yet.

What I like with this product is good display of your photos and awesome for zoom/Facebook meeting during Covid. Not to mention the camera feature that track you when you move around.

I love this for my parents. The camera follows the one talking and scopes out the next person without moving the device. It’s big enough they can see their great grandkids easier. I just wish it had FaceTime. You have to download WhatsApp. Great product otherwise.

Got this for my mother in law for Mother’s Day and she loved it! She keeps it in the kitchen and uses it to call friends, family. Uses the large screen for recipes and music while she’s cooking. The portal displays a great resolution on both sides of the camera. Worth every penny!

We love them. We've got 4 in the family now and they really make it nice to see the kids and grandchildren close up versus a 2 inch by 4 inch screen. Used it to take family photos for Christmas and like to use it to listen to music while cooking supper.

Hardware is excellent. Great speakers and nice large 1080p screen. Needed it to work with WebEx and while it did the camera would continue to hunt even while sitting. The issue was not with he hardware but the WebEx software. Facebook messenger worked flawlessly.

I bought this for my wife so she could check in on the grandbaby regularly. She was thrilled with it and is able to use it with little to no trouble. The extra abilities are an unexpected advantage. Music and lists are used regularly through Spotify and Alexa. Was well worth the investment.

I Bought two of these, one for the in laws and one for the wife. I wasn’t crazy about it at first and thought it was stupid. But we’ve spent hours on them talking to each other. It’s like we’re in the same house even though we’re 3000 miles apart

I got this for Christmas gifts for the family and everyone loves it. We can now video chat regardless of what type of phone everyone has. You just need Messenger and it allows you to chat with up to 6 ppl. They don't even have to own the portal they can use their phones. AWESOME.

A big disappointment for me is that if you want to contact someone to use the unit they have to have Facebook. I ddnt want to be required to have social media. I have also found it to not be sensitive enough to react to my commands. The only characteristic that it excels over the other devices I the size of the screen.

Know that if you buy a portal, you are restricted to facebook's own messaging and video chat only. Even though this says it is Alexa equipped, the Alexa does not have all the features which a regular amazon echo has. You cannot video call other echos from this device, only other portals and people through the facebook messenger app. Only giving two stars because the build quality is excellent and the speaker is great. looses three stars due to lack of alexa compatibility.

I chose this model because of it's size and the fact that it does portrait as well as landscape modes. It has some great features such as being able to cover the camera lens (comes with the cover) and actually turning it completely off.

We use ours to connect with family. We love it. Love the size of the pics. Highly recommend for seeing family and grandchildren out of state. Face timing is great too! You can walk around the living room and the camera follows you.

Great camera and sound but that’s about it. Don’t feel like the product is finished could use a lot more apps prefer to use google over Facebook portal.

Purchased as a raffle prize and is one of the most sought after prizes for the office! The new Portal is great for staying in touch with family and friends that are not close. Larger screen is awesome!. Technology is always a crowd pleaser!

Love all the features that come with portal. From video chat to Alexa playing my favorite music. The sound system is great for a video camera. The picture is clear and connectivity is fast. The webcam keeps up when moving about and chatting.
