Most games based on anime are fighting games. This game happens to be a turn based rpg. It follows the main events of the show after the 7 year time skip. Lots of playable characters and different upgrades for each one. It is a pretty lengthy game at about 40 hours. Some negatives would be some minor performance issues and the third act could be very repetitive and seem like filler for some people. I would score it 8.5/10

This game plays like most jrpg’s and is mostly faithful to the fairy tail story. The graphics are better than I expected. My only complaint is it is not fully open world and the beginning would be confusing to anyone who isn’t familiar with the fairy tail story. Overall I’m enjoying the game! If you’re on the fence wait til it goes on sale to buy.

The games art style and format are perfect for any long time fairy tail fan. And gameplay is a solid A+ to boot I absolutely loved diving through this game with side quest and character builds, gives the game some solid sustainability. Totally would recommend to anyone who finished the anime to jump on!

My daughter really loves the Fairy Tale Series and was one of the first to purchase the game when it was available. Great Game Play, Great Story, Smooth

Fairy Tail finally makes it to the video game platform in the West. For any fan of the anime series this is a must buy. It follows the events of Fairy Tail right after the events at Tenrou Island as you build up your guilds reputation during the Grand Magic Games. You get to relieve the story and play as your favorite characters. Been a fan of this series since 2011 so I may be a little biased but would highly recommend it.

I honestly had a fun experience with the Fairy Tail game despite the recent controversy with it. It was a fun and interesting RPG, the game from what I know is based on the Manga. I haven't watched the anime series or read the manga yet, but this game has caught me up on a certain part of the story, also the Fanservice that the series was also known for is pretty good for the game as well.

Fun game, it follows the anime. It does get a little tiresome with how the quests are completed. It also drags along with the 'movie' sections and they don't show all the characters that are talking. But overall, for a fan of the manga, it's nice.

I’ve watched the anime fairy tail religiously ever since it came out, also have a lot of the manga. This game brought it all together after the seven year gap wonderful. It is heavily related to the anime though so if you’re not a fan of anime then this might not be up your alley. 10/10 for me

This is a great game dont get me wrong, but if you are going to get it, get it for the the PS4 instead. This for the switch has a crap ton of frame rate issues that are..well annoying. At 30 fps its not worth playing. If you are a huge fan of the series, I would wait till it comes down in price or even buy it for your collection..which ever...but liken I said in the beginning, get it for the ps4 honestly... Overall if your a fan of the series get it but not on the switch. KT (the developer) should have done better when it came to the refresh rates.

I found the game to be enjoyable. It stays faithful to the manga/anime for the majority of the time. The customization available in the game adds a lot of replay value. If you like Fairy Tail and joy other (J)RPGs like Pokémon or Persona then it’s a fun game to have

Was very excited for this game b/c of my love for the series. Enjoy being able to play as my favorite characters. There is room for improvement though. (But what game doesn't have room for improvement?)

This game is better than what was expected. The quest format is fun and the guild members are fun to adventure with. If you're a fan of Fairy Tail anime/manga and RPGs you should enjoy this one.

Great game, plenty to do, wish it had an English sub, thats really the only down side for me, but i know a lot ofnpeople enjoy the Japanese version of the show more, so if you, this is a must have

I wouldn’t recommend this game if you haven’t finished watching the anime series, as it contains a lot of spoilers. Other than that, it’s a great game for those who love the show!

Its Great game if you are a fairy tail fan but if your not a fairy tail fan your probably not going to enjoy as much.

I’m in love with this game I love fairy tail it beats time when I’m bored and I’m constantly on it it has amazing quality only wish I could actually fight instead of choosing their moves for them

Fans of Fairy Tail this is a must have to just play to have fun and exploration adventure. You can go places and upgrade all while having fun beating up the other guy to advance.

This game is incredible. It has allot of features and over 40 hours of game play with additional DLC options to expand it.
