Changes the game

This lens completely changed my camera, i had the standard kit lens when you buy the A7IV which is decent and gets the job done but this makes such a world of a difference lol. The sharpness of the image is unreal, the price sucks but you get what you pay for. I use this camera for a mix of things, I vlog with it for my social media page and just got back into photography with it. The aperture ring is so nice to have and it is lighter than the first edition which is great. The goal is to get the trinity: 16-35, 24-70, and 70-200. These lenses are built to last a very long time and will capture life greatest moments in the best of quality. For that I am willing to shell out the extra money. Buy once cry once

Superior Landscape Lens

So much lighter and compact in comparison to Sony’s first 16-35mm GM. The build quality is great and the aperture ring is a nice touch. I would recommend this lens to anyone who is willing to purchase at such an expensive price point. I haven’t done Astro with it yet, but will report back.

Reduced weight comparing to Gen 1, and the same great quality - making difference for me when travelling with a lot of lens in a backpack. Great range for travel photos - especially in the small cities when you need to fit a lot in your frame. But price is quite high

This is a fantastic ultra wide-wide lens. I have only used this a few times now and so far I am very impressed. I also have the Sony 14 mm prime which is excellent, but you can definitely see the distortion in those pics. The 16-35 focal range has none to very minimal distortion (you probably won't even be able to notice at 16mm). The GMII has fast and reliable AF and is much lighter than its predecessor.

Super light and sharp! Was debating on the 16-35 f4 PZ and the 16-25 f2.8 G but pulled the trigger and do not regret one bit. A little pricey but worth it for long term use!

Open Box listed as "Excellent", Wrong Lens Hood.
ArthurF Posted
So I bought an open box 16-35mm 2.8 GM II. It was listed as excellent condition. When I got it, I noticed that the lens hood was swapped out for a different one. The inside of the lens hood had white fuzz and that was what got me looking at it more. It included the one that normally goes on the 24-70mm 2.8 GM. I saved $200 buying used, but ended up having to spend $50 for a new hood. The lens itself was in great condition. I will do myself a favor and just spend the money on new next time.
