The Fitbit Alta has been great so far... I have it for a month and have loved the many features it has, especially the signals it gives you when you reach your step goal (fireworks) and nudges you if you haven't gone 250 steps in an hour. I love that it has different band styles. The only drawback is that it doesn't monitor your heart rate like the other models do. The App is excellent and it is great to compete in challenges with your friends. Great purchase!

I really love my new Alta. It's thin on my wrist and looks great! I ordered the real and I love the color.

I've had multiple fitbits and jawbone devices over the past years. This is a great one as of late - sleek and minimal, long battery life, and the ability to change out bands. Highly recommend this product to anyone looking to count their steps without the need for gps. Get stepping!

My Alta works great. Synchs right up on my phone. The charge lasts for days. The Fitbit app and website are very easy to use and intuitive. The hourly reminder (just a quick vibration ) to get up and move helps tremendously at work. The only slight drawback I have found is that it is hard to read the display in sunlight. But that is to be expected. Otherwise I would recommend the Alta to anyone who needs a little motivation.

I like the Fitbit Alta because it is not too large and overwhelming. It is easy to wear and not heavy. I love how easy it is to change the bands when I am ready for a new look. It is also one of the more accurate step counters in comparison to other ones I have tried.

I've been using my Fitbit Alta for over a month and I enjoy it. It gets the job done with added perks. I'm able to track my steps along with placing exercise reminders and tracking my sleep habits. The Alta has a Bluetooth built in so it's easy to sync everything to your Fitbit phone app. The app is easy to setup and user friendly. I can also see incoming calls and texts on my Fitbit, which is nice and more discreet than always pulling out my phone. I also chose the Alta for its size. The wrist band and screen are not too large. I wear my Fitbit to sleep to track my sleep habits and I can't even feel when it's on.

My wife wanted this over her Flex. So for her birthday we got her the Teal Alta. She loves it so much. The screen is clear whenever you need to read it. Fits well and it is really accurate. The band is interchagable so she has a black work band and a teal for a normal day.

I bought this because I needed notifications for calls and text, but didn't want a large device. This is like a bracelet that is functional. I find myself walking more because of the step tracking. Who knows maybe I'll be a little healthier because of this.

I have had this Fitbit for about a month. I have a desk job and while sometimes I get annoyed with the reminders to move my butt (you can turn them off or specify when they happen); I have been encouraged to move more. I am watching my calorie in/outtake and this really helps with that. It also tracks moderate to intense workout times. I have it set up to remind to go to bed and vibrate to wake me up. When the time changed, the reminders did not--even though the time on the device changed (the reminders came at 9:30 instead of 10:30). I reset it and it doesn't wake me up anhour early anymore, but that go to bed reminder is still wonky. Lastly, a few times it's said I walked when I know I didn't. Since it's on your wrist, if you move it or roll around in an office chair, you will wrack up phantom step--not a lot, though. If you have a target (10,000 is default), just be aware.

I really like this device. It seems to be fairly accurate. It works well with the phone app, and I'm able to sync it with my insurance company's website and earning points for all of my steps. Good battery life and I like that the band is interchangeable.

I love that the Alta is much smaller than a Fitbit Charge HR. It's more like a bracelet/band than a watch but has almost the same functionality minus the heart rate part. It's a nice bonus to have text messages and phone calls show up on it as well

We didn't want to spend a lot of money for the extra heart rate monitoring as it wasn't really needed. Just wanted one for steps, watch, and notifications. Works great for all of that, plus swapping out the bands makes it even better.

I love my new Fitbit Alta. I decided to not get the blaze as the heart monitor stopped working three or four days after I bought it. I had friends that purchase the Alta and were really satisfied with all of the features; the battery holds longer than necessary, which makes it a breeze to take the Alta on a weekend trip if you left your charger at home.

I found my Charge needed to be replaced not so much for the sensor part that still works great but the band was falling apart from use. (had it two years) Since one can't replace the band on the charge I thought it was a perfect time to try a new verison. I purchased the ALTA. The sensor is great to remind you to get up and move during the day. Although I miss the ability to have my alerts from my cell phone for calls go to my fitbit. (kept me from having my phone in my hand all the time) I also miss the counting of stairs throughout my day. I did find I am able to wear other "jewelry with the Alta due to it's slimmer lines. Altough I feel silly wearing two watches sometimes. I would give up the time feature for one of the previous mentioned features and wear a normal watch.

I researched the Fitbit Alta prior to purchasing it. I previously had the Flex, and, though I did like the Flex, it was having some charging issues. The Flex would not stay in place in the adapter to ensure proper contact with the USB adapter pins. The Alta has not had that issue. The charger is a clip apparatus with 3 pins that lock into place (not strongly but enough to securely hold) on the Alta contacts. Also, the functions are more advanced than the Flex's.I like being able to read the actual stat numbers for steps and calories. The Alta also shows a digital time along with cell phone notifications. For work I usually keep my personal cell phone on silent, so this has helped keep me on top of calls when they come through. Overall, I like this Alta a lot better than my Flex.

I received this item as a gift. I had been using a much lower cost step tracker and enjoyed tracking my steps and sleep, but as a lower end unit, there were things that were not as well done as I would have liked. Enter the new FitBit Alta. Since using this item, I really don't have much bad to say about it. This model does not track stairs, or heart rate, but everything else is a homerun. Sleep tracking is automatic, my old unit, you had to turn on sleep tracking, and then turn it back off when you woke up. It also automatically determines when you exercise based on continuous activity. Why it thinks that I'm riding a bike when I mow the lawn, who knows. But overall, this is a great unit. Small size, nice iPhone app, as well as a web page where you can see your stats.

I love the slim design if this Fitbit, one of the reasons I was drawn to it. A feature I wasn't even aware of but love is the notification that I need to keep moving! Keeps me in check! And sleep tracker is great too!
