I was one of the last ones in my office to pick up and fitbit. Man do I regret that decision. I have always said I am going to start working out or I am going to start going back to the gym. Only to never go or start working out.
The fitbit allows is fun way to get going again with whole exercising. It first made me realize how much little walking I do the days I am in the office compared to the days in the field. The biggest motivation for me is on the app. The app has a feature where you see all of your friends who have fitbits. Being the competitive person I am, I refuse to lose to someone of my co-workers.
If you are someone like me who is always say that they are going to start going to the gym or start working out. The fitbit is a nice kick in the pants to get you headed down the right direction.

I cannot say anything good or bad about how the Charge HR actually tracks activity. The reason being that it was way too small to fit on my wrist. I'm a guy with average wrists so I bought a large. Seems reasonable, right? Not exactly. It would barely fit around my wrist and I could just buckle into the very last hole on the band. I talked to a couple of female friends one of which wished she had bought the large as the small was too small for her and another that was glad she bought the large because it fit her just right. It should be noted that she has small to average wrists for a woman. I did find out that Fitbit makes the Charge HR in XL but it is only available on their website and when I checked there was a 10-12 week backorder to fulfillment time. The bottom line is that if you are anything over 90 lbs. you should buy the large because the small will be too small. Most women and men with very small wrists should be able to wear the large just fine. It's too bad that Fitbit doesn't make that clear up front. I gave it 3 stars because I did get good feedback on functionality from my friends. That is what prompted me to purchase it to begin with. I withheld the other 2 stars because Fitbit does not make the XL more readily available.

I loved this Fitbit!
I started with the original Fitbit and moved up to the Fitbit Charge HR when I found out it could track my heart rate. I love all of the reporting and I love how user-friendly this gadget is. My only complaint is that I got a couple drips of coffee on the rubber edging of the band and the whole thing peeled off in a month. I'm upgrading to the Charge HR 2, but I'm sad to spend money on another Fitbit after less than 2 years. And I stupidly didn't get the warranty or Geek Squad protection, so I definitely did with the new one. I did notice that the Charge HR 2 has "changeable bands" so I wonder if this was a regular complaint with the Charge HR.
At any rate, I love the features and I love how well it worked for me while I had it.

The Charge is great because it displays the time so you don't have to wear two pieces of equipment. It provides a decent account for sleep behavior and a detailed patten of heart rate. With the push of a button you can track your steps/disgrace and setup your own personal daily goals. I wish the device had the battery level (you gave to look at the app on phone or get email).

I bought the HR version to check my pulse during workouts. The HR monitor seems a little suspect, as it bounces around 20-30 bpm within a short time. However it is only $20 more than Charge so can't expect a whole lot, it works well during non-activity monitoring. Other features are great. interactive website support where you can enter goals and track progress.

Overall, fit is nice, watchband type definitely stays on I imagine better than charge without HR (They are different clasp types).
heart rate tracking is fairly accurate, confirmed with hospital pulse ox machine.
stairs tracking is accurate
HR data is encoded, so can output to strava but not see in real time on strava.
app is great easy to navigate
battery life is accurate
no skin issues after three months

I Haven't worn a watch in years but couldn't give this up now! Tried the Vivosmart but really wanted a heart monitor & having to take the extra step of putting one on just wasn't going to happen for me or my husband. (I got us both one for an anniversary gift) My husband isn't usually vocal about gifts, but he has been on this! He really loves his. I couldn't believe how few steps I was getting in a day. I'd had surgery earlier this year so had a bit of an excuse but this has really helped me & my recovery. It does show incoming calls but I wish this showed texts & Facebook like the vivosmart - that is the only reason for my four star rating, otherwise it is a five star product. I know this won't be my last activity monitor, I'll always have one now. So when one comes out with everything I want on it and it's good quality I'm sure I'll be in the market for another activity tracker. I did purchase Best Buys service agreement with these as some of the reviews I'd read from fit bit owners -who loved their device - mentioned theirs had just up & quit. I know the ones they were reviewing were much earlier devices but I figured this way I'm covered regardless. Both my husband & I are using these on Android devices. Sometimes the steps it counts are off a bit but the heart rate monitor has been pretty well spot on.

I bought the HR versus the regular Fitbit so that I could track my heart rate post surgery. As I am recuperating I am tracking my mobility by the steps taken, and the Heart Rate gives me an idea of the effort involved.
I recharge it about twice a week. Added benefit.. when I get up at night
I have a night light on my wrist.
I have a thicker wrist and the large fits perfectly on the 4th opening from the end.

Flex worked good but Charge HR has nice improvements. I was mostly interested in the heart rate monitor. I have taken my pulse and see if the Fitbit is accurate a couple of times. Was the same.
I did not think the watch feature would be very useful but I've found it more convenient than looking at my phone. Also the Charge HR does sleep times without telling when you go to bed and get up. Nice improvement.

I am an older, sedentary woman who wants to improve my activity, but on a gradual basis due to health issues. I also have meds to take whenever my heart rate gets too fast. The Fitbit Charge HR keeps track of my activity and my heart rate accurately. I find it very motivating- I try to increase my total steps day to day.

I really like all aspects of this device! The heart rate monitor is very informative and gives an extra bonus to the other items it tracks. I also like the sleep monitor as it helps me understand some of my sleep habits. Only drawback is the battery only last about 3 days instead of the stated 5 days but it charges up so fast that it really doesn't cause any issues. I would definitely buy this again!

I love the FitBit Charge HR. It is easy to set up and easy to use. The features are great and I find them to be very accurate. Being able to monitor my heart rate is a big help. It definitely keeps me motivated when you see the results of your activity. The only downfall is the battery life. It only lasts about 5 days before you have to charge it again. It would be nice not to have to charge it as often.

Love it! My old Flex died about the same time as my watch quit. I had temporarily lost the Flex a couple of times when the band closure popped open, so I opted for the Charge HR to take the place of both because I wanted a buckled wristband. Really like that it automatically tracks sleep without having to do anything, it tells time, keeps track of heart rate and a real bonus is incoming call notification.

This is an upgrade from my Fitbit Flex. I like the Fitbit infrastructure but not that it doesn't integrate with other fitness apps. The Charge HR is just as accurate at my Flex and I like the stairs and heart rate features. I took off one star because the face scratches fairly easily. This is one product where I recommend getting extended protection from Best Buy.

The Charge HR is comfortable to wear so you can easily wear it all day and night to get the full picture of your activity and sleep. The inclusion of an HR monitor without the pesky strap around the chest is wonderful. The monitor is easy to work with and you can see all your stats on your wrist or on your PC dashboard.

This has completely changed my day-to-day life. I was someone who prided myself on being very active throughout the day, but this device has motivated me to do even more, as well as make me more conscious of what I'm eating and making sure that I am getting an adequate amount of sleep. I can definitely feel a difference in my body, and feel much more healthy. I recommend it to everybody that I know

I owned an earlier gen Fitbit clip that worked great except I seem to forget to remove it off my clothes a lot. This Fitbit Charge HR is wonderful! I can now track my steps, heart rate, distance and still use it as a watch. I enjoy keeping track of my stats on the fitbit app. I like the gamification that you can do challenges with friends. I look forward to using this to increase my fitness level.

Bought this for my husband and he wears it every day and has been good about getting over 10,000 steps. First few days he was walking outside in the dark trying to get over 10,000 steps, but he has stopped doing that. It is good to keep track of sleep and heart rate. Thought it would notify him when he gets a call or text like my FitBit Surge does, but haven't figured out if it does that?

Love to be able to see how many steps I take and my heart rate without hooking it up to the computer. This FitBit automatically calculates my sleep hours without manually entering the time I went to sleep and the time I woke up on the Dashboard online. I kind of miss the old FitBit wrist band but am getting used to this one. I don't wear a watch anymore either because I always have my FitBit on.

Having the heart rate monitor is definitely worth the price difference. It's fairly accurate against our pulse oximeters at work. I wear it everywhere and its held up really well so far. I have pretty small wrists at 5'6 and the large still fits on the last two settings and the band keeper holds the excess down neatly so it doesn't flop around or get caught.
