Sold by a sales rep. I asked him for help on choosing a remedy to a virus problem and he said this would solve all the problems. I would soon find out it doesn't work.

Does not work on my computer. Basically useless. Would help if it worked on all systems, instead of just two.

The fix it stick did not work for me! Needed major cleaning!

My computer froze half way thru the scan every time I tried using it.

did not work now cant return you only get 15 days to do that fix me stick is trash sorry waste of 60bucks

Product didn't work. Found free virus removal tool online that solved problem. Would not recommend.

Purchased for hubbys laptop,he used it but laptop still has virus on it.

I had the chance to use FixMeStick over the weekend on an HP touchscreen PC that had been intermittently getting the "blue screen of death". I plugged in my FixMeStick and the product managed to find 5 "issues" that i promptly removed from my PC. The PC now works fine! I would highly recommend this product to anyone.

Don't buy, it doesn't work. You will throw your money away.

this is my 2nd fixmestick from bestbuy. i absolutely LOVE this product.its so simple to use,, it uses ubuntu and boots up before your windows OS,,thus catching any malware or virus's known in the network.it also stops ransom ware.i use the triple wammy on all my stuff,,malwarebytes premium (also bought @ bestbuy) vipre lifetime antivirus and a yearly licensed fixmestick.right after i bought my 1st stick my sisters computer caught3-4 different virus's. i used the fixmestick and viola! problem gone!.about 3 months later she had a ransomware hit.it locked her computer and demanded payment.i shut it down after inserting the fixmestick,, fired it back up,, viola again!!! ransomware gone!!.bottom line for the price its a win win,, a nominal yearly fee ia WAY cheaper than replacing a tower ,,hard drive or complete system.i swear by this product and will use it allways

Call a professional. If your computer is attacked by unknown threats, make sure you get them all. This product offers quick fix but your computer holds all of your information and you want to make sure that your computer is secure. You can buy this in a pinch but have a professional look at your computer also.

My computer had a problem in explorer where some kind of virus would take it to other webpages and not allowing me to get out. The only way I could get out was the shut explorer down with the task manager and start over. In a brief amount of time the virus would reappear and I would have to start over again. This made my computer basically useless. I ran the Fixme Stick and it seems to have found and corrected the problem. The only minor problem that I had was that Fixme opened slow. Once it opened everything went just fine and the computer now is doing what it's suppose to. I choose the webpage and it stays there until I change it.

My main computer was locked by a "ransom" virus and I had not backed up some key files. I bought a backup drive at Best Buy and was prepared to erase my hard disk and start over when I noticed the FixMeStick on the Best Buy shelf and decided to give it a try. Although the computer was locked up, by using FixMeStick on startup, the program connected to the internet, updated its files and did a scan. Viruses were detected and removed. The cost of this nifty program was a lot less than the hijack crook's ransom demand! Three weeks later, another type of ransom virus struck and FixMeStick did not detect it, but within a reasonable time, FixMeStick support contacted me, ran a scan of my computer by remote and got me back online. The product and the support service are both great!

Fixed my lap top in 2 hours. I was experiencing adware and hopelessly trying to delete programs which were loading as fast as I would delete them. My desk top wasn't as easy. Took 4 hours to scan and 44 hours to "clean." Was better, but same programs which were loading on my lap top were compounded by frozen screens with messages to "call microsoft technicians." I would force shutdown and have limited access and the frozen screens would return. I called FixMeStick Support and "Hannah" did a remote access and after multiple attempts was able to get in and find the offending programs. I was more than impressed.

Please beware--This may not work at all on your netbook! Some netbooks can't boot from a USB drive. You need to check your BIOS to know this. This is not a regular memory stick; it's like another hard drive that your computer tries to boot from. If your computer can't boot from a USB drive, this will never work, except there is absolutely no warning on the package or on this company's website. They tell you it works on virtually every computer--which is obviously not true. I bought it, tried it, couldn't make it work, called their customer service, they couldn't help me and were kind of dismissive, and I spent hours and hours trying all different ways to get this to save the netbook that was completely frozen by evil ransomware. Customer service was useless! Their website offers a money-back guarantee, but ONLY IF YOU BUY IT FROM THEIR WEBSITE. In other words, they don't really stand behind their product. Of course, I couldn't return it to Best Buy, because I already opened the box. Guess what? You can download malwarebytes from www.malwarebytes.com for FREE to a regular memory stick, put it in your netbook while running in safe mode, install in on your netbook, scan the computer, clean out the malware, and then reboot, and you will get the same result for free as you would get from this. So try malwarebytes or other reputable free solutions first, as this company doesn't really care about making customers waste their money for nothing.

My Virus/Malware failed to prevent many Trojan/Malware infections. Paid a high priced online geek to fix my problems. That was a stupid mistake as my computer became barely functional. Purchased FixMeStick which solved all of my 249 infections. I am impressed and thankful. Whether you are having problems or not --You must purchase & use this product monthly. You will not regret it.

The FMS worked well. It removed most ad and malware. Had a problem installing on the third computer because of Toshiba/Win 8 bios set up. If FMS had included tips re. this I would giving it a 5.

Out of box it required a "wired" internet connection. The 2in1 YOGA has no wired internet connection port. An intelligent guess on my part. Upgrade provided for wireless internet. There is no phone support that I could find. In frustration I performed the factory upgrade listed on their support page. Tech support took days to respond via email. But when they did it was to perform the factory upgrade. Otherwise I would give it five stars. Overall it otherwise found a few Trojans and removed them. Smooth sailing thereafter.
