Overall it’s quiet, when the ice drops it startled me until I got use to it. Nothing crazy, it comes out in one block and you set timer. Other than when ice drops it’s quiet you don’t even realize it’s on. The timer setting are great. As long as you keep the bucket empty and water in, it will produce a great amount of ice. We have a cold tub, so this was my main reason for purchasing it. I fill bags and keep them in freezer. Cleaning is easy and I drain after 2-3 fills, I’ve found that when I keep it drained the ice stays longer in basket.

My Kitchenaid fridge has a built in ice maker but it’s a joke of a machine... the ice constantly melts and refreezes into a solid block so it’s basically useless... we bought this bc we entertain a lot and it’s annoying constantly having to either freeze a ton of ice trays or buy bags and bags of ice... this was great for the holidays, I just plug it in a day before I need a lot of ice and transfer from the ice machine to a bowl in the freezer as needed... we had a party on NYE with about 50/60 people and we stock piled some ice to start but the machine was essentially able to keep up with ice for drinks for the night which was great!

An okay icemaker

After two weeks whenever it pumped water it would make a bloodcurdling noise and we had to unplug it. Went to the manufacturer for product support and was givien a list of tasks so long and complex we decided to heck with it we'll just buy a new one with an extended warranty through Best Buy this time. Hoping for a much better outcome.

I'm pleased with the speed in which it makes ice. The only downside so far is they all stick together when they dump into the bin - perhaps it's just a setting I haven't had a chance to look. Overall I'm very happy with it.

Posted .Hi candy - try using colder water &/or dump some ice into the water reservoir. That will lower the water temperature. The ice cubes will be harder and should not stick together as much.

The ice comes out in a big block and you have to go in and break it every time if not the machine thinks it’s full of ice even though it’s just one block.

The product stopped working a month after the year mark. Returned via geeksquad warranty and went with the insignia version instead. It's a pain when the ice melts, makes you drain the device because the melting and the filling water is not connected (unlike the insignia...see my review on that one).

It takes a while to get it dialed in but once you get it going this machine cranks out lots of ice. The clarity is mostly excellent but on occasion you will have a cloudy sheet. You do have to break up the sheets manually, but it is hardly a difficult task.

I have not been disappointed!! Been two weeks and so far the machine performs as hoped if not better. Took about 4 or 5 full runs to mess with the settings and that was it. The only slight minus is its a little noisier than hoped but really not an issue. Nice machine
