    Love this

    Absolutely love this ice maker. Overall it’s quiet, when the ice drops it startled me until I got use to it. Nothing crazy, it comes out in one block and you set timer. Other than when ice drops it’s quiet you don’t even realize it’s on. The timer setting are great. As long as you keep the bucket empty and water in, it will produce a great amount of ice. We have a cold tub, so this was my main reason for purchasing it. I fill bags and keep them in freezer. Cleaning is easy and I drain after 2-3 fills, I’ve found that when I keep it drained the ice stays longer in basket.

    Works awesome!

    This has been a lifesaver! My Kitchenaid fridge has a built in ice maker but it’s a joke of a machine... the ice constantly melts and refreezes into a solid block so it’s basically useless... we bought this bc we entertain a lot and it’s annoying constantly having to either freeze a ton of ice trays or buy bags and bags of ice... this was great for the holidays, I just plug it in a day before I need a lot of ice and transfer from the ice machine to a bowl in the freezer as needed... we had a party on NYE with about 50/60 people and we stock piled some ice to start but the machine was essentially able to keep up with ice for drinks for the night which was great!

  • I just bought it. I can’t get it to make ice. The lowest temperature it gets to is 75 degrees. How can I decrease this temp?

    Unplug the unit for an hour to allow it to reset. Fill the water reservoir with cold potable water. Plug the unit back in and set it to make ice.   • I see a cover on the top - would that be where you put the water? I have an icemaker currently that is dying and it can accommodate a water bottle. Is that an option with this item?

    No, using a water bottle and setting it at the top of the unit, like a small water cooler is not an option. The cover is where you pour water into the holding tank where the pump draws water from to make ice. I would recommend using filtered water so as to reduce the amount of deposits that may clog the tubing if you don't regularly clean the unit. There is a maximum fill line inside and adding too much water could damage the unit. Too little water in the tank will cause the unit to stop making ice cubes but shouldn't damage the unit as it will turn itself off. Once you add water again after getting the low water warning you would need to restart the unit.
