It cools the room well but it is kind of loud. Comes with a remote controller.

Bought as a replacement for an older AC unit and couldn't be happier, very quite and very cold. The thermostat built into the remote is a nice touch as well.

We moved into a home with a central air unit that isn't really big enough to keep the whole house cool. This unit is in our bedroom (which is pretty big - 15 x 20). We keep it set on 68 and run it all the time. It's been going for two months now and doing a great job. Not silent, but not horribly loud either - pretty much in between. For this price, this is a great AC unit.

Bought 2 of these units to cool 2 of our bedrooms. Just right for average 12 X 12 bedrooms. Unit has several automatic features like... auto fan speed control and energy saver control. (The energy saver feature doesn't seem to work too well) The remote control feature works great...I use it all the time. The unit is as loud as a motel unit but not too distracting. I would buy again!

This Frigidaire AC couldn't come at a better time. We had a few 90 degree days here in the NYC last week. AC works very well, cools our bedroom in no time. The only problem is it is Extremely Loud. Had the Geek squad install the ac. They were very professional and it only took then less then 20 mins to install. Can't wait for the summer to begin, so we can stay cool.

Bought this unit for my bedroom because my central unit can’t keep up during the summertime. Was not disappointed with performance or energy usage.

I have to say I am pleasantly surprised with this A/C.........It was very easy to install, came packed very well and the instructions are simple......It seems very well engineered, even to the slope of the out side of the unit. But, most important...... it keeps a 14x 14 room cool with no problem at all.......( room with a lot of sun etc).......So, yes I am happy with this purchase !

This is our second one, and I would buy a third. Our rooms aren't huge, but these cover two small rooms or one medium-sized room.

Makes noise unless it's tilted forward. Noise like there's sand in there especially when the fan is on a lower setting. Will see about getting it replaced. Other than that, price was great and is very cold. I keep it no lower than 74-76 degrees. The remote sensing temperature control works awesome! Keeps the A/C on until the remote reaches the temp u want!

This air conditioner saved me when my central air had to be repaired. Used it in my living room and it definitely cooled the downstairs.

My mbr is 14 by 26 and it's ice cold with this unit ...I buy only from Best Buy customer service and reward programs are unbeatable...

great window unit for a larger bedroom. i like how the unit shuts down after it has reached set temp. easy setup and quiet operation.

Easy to install like the remote feature cools room efficiently

This air conditioner is good for an average sized room. An improvement was made where there is now an added section to block any air escaping on both sides of the air conditioner. It is not as quiet as I would like for my bedroom but it does a good job of cooling the room.

After a month of sweaty and sleepless nights, I installed this air conditioner.. it adequately cooled off most of my 1000 sq ft apartment fairly quickly.. and I'm so much more comfortable now. It supposedly costs 20/month to run 8 hours a day so we will see if that is true later in the summer. Overall pleased with self installation and product.

This air conditioner does a good job of cooling down my living room. I like the fact it has multiple speeds and set temperature.

This A/C replaced another one that stopped cooling. After replacing it with the new unit, I discovered that the inside of the condensing coils was coated with dirt. Once I clean it, I will have a perfectly good spare. This unit has some very nice features including the remote control which senses the local temperature and sends control signals to the unit, rather than just relying on the air temperature at the window. Also the electrostatic device can help remove more smaller particles like pollen, better than the mesh filter alone. It is only $10 US more than a similar Frigidaire unit at another store that does not have these two features. My oldest Frigidaire unit was made in 2006 and it's still going. Since then I had bought two units of other brands (one starts with an L and the other an S) which are in the Window A/C graveyard. I now have FOUR of these units in use and one spare.

The unit as a whole cools our lower level approximately 500 square feet. The only downside, is the moisture reservoir. It has an overflow hole, but not normal drainage. The moisture builds up, causing the fan to slap the water making it very noisy.

Happy with this purchase. Our bedroom gets cold really fast! I love the econ feature- if you want to save power you can still leave the a/c running and it will turn on and off by itself every now and then. I also love the filter reset button and the clean air button.
