...compared to the 10k i own..this 8k does very well. Easy set up. Like that you can see the temp on the remote compared to older model...noisy like an ac should be. Nothing to really compare to..works for us

For the price, unit did a great job, blew cold air

Have been using this AC for only a cpl of weeks - and that in the NorthEast of the US, not in the South. Must say, I'm a bit disappointed ..... EconoMode does not cool the area sufficiently; the unit does not manage to get the temp down to the temp chosen (there are always at least 2 degrees difference) - especially not when it's warmer than 75 F outside (and THAT what is was purchased for, after all ...); the unit's fan is already starting to make grinding noises ....... NOT good.

Had all the features I was looking for with the coverage needed. The area I am using it for is kept as cool as I need still using the Econ settings. Got it for a great price. Who could ask for anything more.

I previously had the 5,000 BTU version which was great for the space I had. However, when we had a larger room to cool, we upgraded to an 8,000 BTU which has been great and keeps our room perfectly cool.

Honestly I was going to purchase the Bluetooth window ac but I could not justify 200 extra dollars and I'm so glad I went with them. They are easy to install and work very well! The remote works awesome!

It comes with a remote that tells you the room temperature and foam panels that cover the side vents that seals the sides really well. The cooling is fantastic.

This is my first air conditioner. It installed easily and the unit comes with some nice features and a remote control with timer. It took my living room and made it comfortable all afternoon.

This was the largest AC that would fit in a short sash kitchen window. Originally we had purchased a 10000 BTU unit, but had to return that as it was too tall for the window. So understandably we had doubts about its effectiveness in cooling an open kitchen, living/dining room and living room area. But we have been pleasantly surprised at the results. With the AC running we are able to maintain the inside of the said area about 10 degrees and more cooler than the outside, even on days that reach 90 degrees. Additionally the AC came with good instructions and was easy to install.

I really like that it cools down the room fast. What most people will notice is the loud humm. But for my situation that white noise is perfect for the baby. Its a sound machine and AC in one. Win.

This air conditioner is great, cools our large bedroom perfectly and we like it cold when we sleep. The temperature on the remote is pretty handy. Overall I am happy with the purchase from Best Buy.

This little window unit runs on a regular 120 Volt outlet and does a great job cooling our large bedroom. The only downside is that it makes a little more noise than I would like.

I needed an ac to fit a small guest room but I wasn't sure if The model smaller to this would be efficient. So, I picked up the 8,000 btu model which, much to my surprise, came with everything I needed in the box. I have this a 4 out of 5 stars because there is some assembly required prior to installing the ac. There are 2 brackes / side panels that require a philips head screwdriver to install but it is relatively easy once you've read the instructions.

Got this for the bedroom. It works great. People talked about it being loud but it is not that bad. You have to expect some noise if you want it to work right and do what you paid for. Get real.

Energy efficient, easy to use. Set it up, set the temperature, put it on Auto and let it go. Has been running all summer and keeps my bedroom cool.

Nice in most regards, seems a little noisier than the unit it replaced, but still acceptable. Many nice features compared to my 30 year old AC. Probably way more energy efficient too.

The device is a real workhorse. Pumps out cold air, has great auto settings, and remote can be used as the thermostat for achieving target temp. Only downside is a bit noisy.

Over all works well cools room. Would like to a see a continuous on function so compressor does not cycle on and off. A little noise when compressor first turns on - OK after running.

air-conditioner fit perfectly in the window. It is not too noisy, for when you sleep. It was very easy to install and set up. And it also comes with a handy remote control .

This 8000 btu air conditioner may seem small but it cools like a champ! It is compact and quiet with a fully functional remote. It is great for a nice size living room or den.
