This unit works very well. Has a remote with built-in thermostat and directional air flow. Works well and cools a large room with high ceilings.

Good air conditioner that cools quickly, but definitely louder than I anticipated it would be (compared to my previous LG window unit).

Have been using about a week now. It seriously pushes some cold air through, and the remote is the coolest thing since sliced bread. The temperature is on the remote, so you can put it anywhere you want to be cool, and the thing will keep pumping out air. Great price, too!

*Puts out a strong, cold flow of air with generator. *Does not use up generator amperage *The directional vents are not too user friendly. *Would prefer manual knobs in addition the remote control though.

We have a 250 sq ft room and it cools pretty well when set to 68 degrees. Not too loud.

This window unit is acceptable for the price range. It's settings and timer work acceptably well and the eco-mode is useful if you are trying to save on energy (which I am). A negative is that it is fairly loud and has a rattle occasionally. It also has a hard time draining water that have noticed and have adjusted the unit several time to get the angle correct. My unit also had some bend in the fins on the back.

By far this is a great air conditioner. We have 2 LG air conditioners and they do not hold a candle to this Frigidaire by far this one is the coolest of the 3 we have. Our home is 1000 square foot. We live in very hot area and our home stays around 73 degrees all summer. This air cools half our house nicely I would recommend this unit. Be careful with the shipping ours came UPS and was damaged the top corner of the unit was cracked a little but we had to keep it because of summer but the air works fine.

Using this to cool down a flat roof single car garage converted into a home office in Hawaii. Flat roof does have a coat of white elastomeric coating so that helps to keep the room cool. 8000 BTU's does a fairly decent job at cooling the area. Takes about an hour to cool the room. This is the fourth air conditioner install in the home throughout the years and installation was simple as expected. All required materials needed and only simple tools used to install in garage window. The remote sensing feature works great. Air conditioner is located on the opposite wall from where the remote is kept. Normally set the temp at 74 degrees and the remote sensor feature will shut off the unit when it reaches that temp in Energy Saver mode. Once the Remote senses the required temp, the entire room is at the desired temp, not just in front of the unit. Great feature. Only issue is the noise. It has a higher pitched "hum" than what I'm used to. More prominent at lower fan speeds. Previous 8000 BTU air conditioners from other brands perform quieter. The noise is louder on the exterior of the unit. Which is good for me, bad for the neighbors. But, for an office/garage, it is sufficient. And for that reason, the 4 stars. Purchased unit on sale. For the money, it's a decent unit. No mechanical problems so far.

Nice and cold and love the feature that it pauses when it hits desired temp. A little loud but does the job really well

Hi, I purchased this product before couple of months and it seems overall the product is good but make sure you are installing it in a big room. I have installed in approximate 15x20 room size and it maintains Overall above average and below excellent cooling. I would definately recommend needed you make check and do research on the room capasity v/s AC capacity to cool room. check manual properly . I am overall satisfied with the purchase i made.
