However, I take it out for the winter and it collects and drips water profusely. These dumb engineers (I am a retired engineer) must have thought that a bottom drain was not needed. They ran a refrigerant tube there, but this only works if you run the unit continuously. If it rains even a month before you remove it, the water will still be sitting in the unit. Tipping a unit this size on its side is a real gymnastic feat.

This is my second summer using it and it seems to have lost some of its cooling effect since we first purchased it a year ago
