I'm not sure if something is wrong with my unit .... I feel like LG is normally a really good brand.

Anything larger, it would struggle to keep up, when it is 90 degrees out. Features are good, but not worth the $200 I paid for it, when I could have bumped it up to 8000 BTU for about $50 more.

Worst air conditioner ever

Same BTUs, same amps, same size, same window. Only difference is this one does not cool. Would have returned unit if it wasn't permanently installed in window. Luckily I have a good ceiling fan. Hopefully it will be a cool summer. One good thing, the air conditioner is not noisy, as other reviewers wrote.
