Customers are positive about the 70-Pint Dehumidifier's performance, noise level, humidity control, and ease of use, with many praising its effectiveness at removing moisture and its quiet operation. However, customers are negative about the small water tank capacity, which requires frequent emptying, and some express concerns regarding the warranty coverage. The price is also mentioned favorably by some users. Overall, the positive feedback on performance and ease of use outweighs the negative comments on the water tank and warranty.

It does everything it said it would. seems like the perfect balance between the no- frills models and the expensive bells n whistle models. keeps the room at the set level, only have to empty once a day. I have no complaints!

Bought this to replace an older unit. Very pleased with the operation of this unit. Works very well, relatively quiet for a dehumidifier. Not near a drain so I use the built in bucket, very easy to remove, empty and replace.

It is easy to use, works great, and I feel it's doing an excellent job keeping my basement free of mold/moisture. After I researched them, I felt this was the best product for a good price that would do the job. I love it!

This is the best dehumidifier ever. I have owned LOTS over the years and this one exceeds expectations. Super quiet, very easy to empty and put bin back in. Simple to operate, and easy to know when it is full.

This dehumidifier was highly rated, and it did not disappoint. It is easy to use, and really works. The humidity is much lower in our home. We are trying to reduce dust mites by keeping humidity below 50 percent. This has helped our whole house (1100 sq ft be below that level). We have placed the dehumidifier in our bathroom, but eventually plan to move it to our utility room (next to the bathroom) once we have a dedicated wire line put in.

This dehumidifier is able to reduce and maintain lower humidity levels in our 120 year-old stone basement. Lately, we have had water intrusion issues, specially after super heavy rains, which generated a moldy smell. This Frigidaire dehumidifier was able to reduce, stabilize the humidity levels, and the moldy smell was gone within a week. We love the continue drain option so we don't have to drain the bucket by hand. Lastly, this dehumidifier is energy start rated and that helps the environment and our wallets.

Wow, this thing sucks all the humidity out of the air. We have it in the pool house kitchen/bathroom facility at our homeowners association pool and we don't have air conditioning. We have a computer and video surveillance in the facility so we need to keep the humidity down to a minimum and this is machine works wonders to help. We have to empty the water once per day if you have the humidity % set to 40-45% or just every other day if you keep it up near 60%. We have not opted to attach the included hose attachment because we use the water we collect to water the plants. This way it saves us $ on the water bill. :)

MY ENVIRONMENT
I live in Austin, Texas. The humidity in the Austin area is about in the middle (on a range from El Paso Desert to Houston Bayou).
My apartment had been vacant for a few months before I moved in, in January 2017. The apartment is 665 square feet. It did not have any problems with mold or humidity or mildew odors when I moved in. My apartment is in an older building that is well-cared for and clean. The bathroom does not have a vent, so shower humidity does not have an outlet.
REASONS FOR BUYING THIS DEHUMIDIFIER
I bought the 70-pint dehumidifier after moving in to ensure the apartment did not develop problems and to help control allergens. (My last dehumidifier malfunctioned after perhaps a year or two.)
The 50-pint could probably have suited my small apartment very well, but I like having the stronger unit.
RUNNING THE UNIT
The instructions suggested running the unit on "continuous" mode for a couple of days, particularly for basements. I didn't really need to do this, because I didn’t have any problems or bad odors, but I did run the unit in continuous mode for two days. The unit ran very well.
After letting the unit run in continuous mode for the first two days, I set the unit at 35% humidity, automatic. I run it twenty-four hours a day. The display shows that humidity stays in the 35-40% range. The unit cycles off automatically when the area reaches 35% humidity and cycles back on when the humidity increases. The unit also cycles off when the reservoir is full and cycles back on when I reinsert the emptied reservoir.
The reservoir has a handle that makes it very easy to empty---much easier to empty than the Kenmore I had owned previously---and is fairly secure in preventing spills.
I placed the unit in the middle of my apartment. I always have many fans---desktop and floor fans, in addition to ceiling fans, and including a desktop fan I always run in the bathroom to reduce humidity. The multiple fans keep the air circulated, which helps the unit keep humidity down throughout the apartment.

This dehumidifier works great and is easy to use. Some of the reviews indicated that the dehumidifier was a little loud when the fan was on high, but it actually runs very quietly. I am very happy with this product. The only issue I have with it is that the bucket is a little difficult to put back in the machine after emptying the water. Not a big issue, though. I'd highly recommend this dehumidifier.

This humidifier is easy to operate and really pulls the moisture out of the air creating a much more comfortable environment. Slightly louder than previous Frigidaire models that I have had but not so loud as to be annoying.

The dehumidifier works as described. Easy to roll around and very easy to use. I was able to save a bunch of money when Best Buy matched the lower price I found on Amazon. Additionally, it's pretty quiet and I like the circular light on the front of the unit as it makes it kind of cool and modvern looking. My one con is the small capacity of the water chamber and it can be a little difficult to remove when it's time to empty it which is why I didn't give this five stars.

This unit really draws moisture, I was emptying the bucket daily. I eventually set up directing the drain hose into the sump in another room. I had some concern about the operation of the unit from an adjoining room but was very pleased that the unit had no trouble keeping up.
I buy a dehumidifier every couple of years because they die. I hope I will be as impressed with this unit 3-4 years down the road!

Works and looks great. Quieter than most. At first I wished the tank was larger like my previous Frigidaire, but the smaller tank is easier to empty and still plenty adequate.

Best dehumidifier that I ever purchased. Extremely efficient at keeping the basement dry. I have purchased other dehumidifiers from other manufacturers but this Frigidaire dehumidifier pulls the moisture out of the air quicker than the other brands. I'll definitely purchase another Frigidaire like this in the future. Don't waste your money on the brands sold at the white box home centers that fail to work after a year.

Have been running this this unit for about a month straight in the Chicago area and have had no issues. Easy to set up. It is running in the basement, so noise is never a concern. I also have it hooked up to a drain hose (again, easy to install), so emptying the bucket is never required. Bought it based on the reviews/recommendations from several different websites. So far, so good.
