Customers are positive about the Gallery 30" Electric Induction Cooktop's easy-to-use controls and straightforward installation. Many appreciate the intuitive controls and quick setup process. However, customers are mixed on the induction cooktop itself, with some experiencing compatibility issues with their cookware and others reporting malfunctions. The transition to induction cooking may require adjustments for some users.

The Speediest Way to Get Dinner on the Table

This cooktop looks great and works beautifully. Cooking is much faster than on any other type of surface. It looks lovely - and is very easy to clean.
The only fly in the ointment is that there is no visual indication to see if a burner is active. In videos of the cooktop, you see blue "sparkles" around the pan. There are no blue sparkles on this one. A shame. But not a game-changer.

I love this stove! I got it a sale price and I couldn’t be happier. I chose it begrudgingly as the one I really liked was not available until May (I got this in Feb), I’m glad I did! It functions really well and was priced way below other brands. I hope it lasts for a long time. It’s so easy to clean too.

Frigidaire induction stove top was on sale when I bought it. It was nearly half off. So far the stovetop works like my old one which broke, hence the purchase of this one. The only thing really that annoy me is that you have to ouch the power button before any operations. Even the timer. I guess this is a safety thing.

We looked for an induction cooktop for weeks. We were surprised at how expensive they were. Then we found the Frigidaire Gallery. The price was half of most other brands. We did our research and found that the only missing feature of any consequence was the lack of a bridge which allows you to use 2 burners for a grill. This was a feature that I did not want our need. All of the reviews of the Frigidaire Gallery were 5 stars. Also, I think it is one of the most attractive cooktop with a design that hides smudges. Installation was quick and easy. I replaced a GE Profile in a granite countertop and it fit perfectly.
Cooking had been a pleasure. Water boils in under a minute and the cooktop does not get hot. The controls are intuitive and easy to operate.

Induction is a game changer!

I really like my new cooktop, but there are a few things it's important to consider if you currently have a different type:
1. Not all of my pots and pans were induction-friendly, so I had to replace my Cuisinart pots. It wasn't a huge deal, and I found an inexpensive set that works fine. It's important to try the magnet test, even if the set says it's induction friendly.
2. You have to be a little bit careful with the surface, it's slightly more scatchable. I've had it for about 10-12 weeks now, and I think that I've got one very slight scatch. It's important to use the recommended cleaner and only a non-scratch pad--I was probably not careful one day while cleaning or cooking.
3. If water sloshes on the cook surface, it will shut off all the burners. I'm a bit messy, so that's happened more than once.
Despite these setbacks, I really love this induction cooktop. The heat is direct, so my kitchen doesn't get as hot, especially since only the part of the burner covered by the pan heats. This being true, it is much easier to clean since I never have burned food to scrub off. It's safer, since the heat is going directly to the pots, although there is a little bit of heat after using a burner for few minutes. It would be difficult/nearly impossible to burn yourself. And the main reason we purchased this one is for faster cooking--it does not disappoint. I think I can now boil water with Power Boil setting in less than two minutes. This is not a super-fancy cooktop, but the arrangement of burners, with a large eye in the middle, two smaller ones on each side, and the 4th smallest eye in the back, is really convenient when cooking more than one item.

We upgraded our electric cooktop to this induction because we wanted a gas-like experience. Our cutout was an odd size, so we had to go with this unit even though I was leery at this low price. I'm used to "you get what you pay for," but this has been a phenomenal cooktop. Installation was a breeze, and the cooktop works perfectly. It does make some humming noises, but other reviews and the manual all say those are normal.

This cooktop works perfectly. Controls are easy to operate. Heats very quickly or can maintain the slowest of simmers. I prefer it to the Mieie we have at our other house that cost three times as much. And I like that unit very much. This is awesome and an amazing value.

I'm very picky about cooktops. I thought I was going to have to get gas piped in, Induction is the best control I've ever found. Incredible speed to boil water. I'm very happy.

Gotta Love Induction

So far, loving the induction. Initial investment is expensive (cost of induction, plus pan and pot sets). Gotta love instant heat - prep everything ahead. Also, love ease of cleaning - no food falling through heating element. Unlike the coiled ceramic top, induction surface doesn't get that hot (only from residual heat of the pan), so nothing gets baked on the surface. The touch controls are also very easy to use. The induction top looks good as well. There is little hum when using, but not annoying.

Works well just know that you have to have a certain type of magnetic pots and pans in order to cool on this top. Love the knobless controls!

So far, I love it. The power boil is amazing!
I generally use the power boil to warm the pan then turn down to the temp I need. It’s definitely different than my last induction cooktop. I purchased the Viking Cookware, recommend those too. They are not sold at Best Buy. Highly recommend this cooktop! We loved our salesperson, Rachel, as well! She works out of the Sterling Hgts Mi store. So helpful!

I received the the cook top via Best Buy delivery and it came packed very well. The Frigidaire - Gallery Series 30" Electric Induction Cooktop was very easy to install which I did myself. All the electrical connections were attached to the cook top and all I had to do was connect the wiring to the outlet---simple. I did have to purchase a new electrical junction box because the newer cable was larger than the older one on my previous cook top. Once connected the cook top performed great. Heating up any item was quick and the heat produce did not spread to the rest of the surrounding glass. There is a very low hum when the cook top is powered on, but it is not noticeable unless you are really looking for it. I would highly recommend this cooktop.

Clean looking unit, easy to use controls. Best Buy install team was pretty much useless on this, couldn't complete install due to it being the "wrong size", which involved adding a 1/2" wood strip on my part. Good product, hapless install team.

I love cooking with this cooktop. We went from a regular electric stove to this induction cooktop for our kitchen remodel and I have never seen cold water boil in under 21 seconds in my life. Very happy with how efficient I can cook dinner for my family of 4 with this. We did need to replace a good amount of pots and pans to work properly with this but worth it.
Cooktop did come out of box with a large scratch on front of edge that's noticeable and has been bothering me. Not sure how this issue will be fixed. I do recommend ordering and give yourself enough time to receive this with the shipping and manufacturing delays due to the craziness happening this year.

The Frigidaire Gallery Series Induction Cooktop is fun to use and easy to clean once you get the hang of the controls and what burners to use for what. For example, if you are boiling water you will want to use one of the back burners because the splashed hot water will turn the burner off. And using the right sized burner for the pan will allow the induction to work it's magic. We are truly enjoying the induction cooktop. It is significantly better than the flattops we have previously had.

This is a great stovetop. Never met an induction I didn't like but this was half price of the one we replaced it with. It has everything I need and a great layout of burners. I especailly appreciate the flexibility in pan size for each burner.
