After a month of using it, I can say it is worth the extra money you pay for the “Live” version over others. The picture is excellent. I enjoyed the function when my car was in a shop, and the mechanic took it for a test drive. The app notified me: “An unidentified driver detected,” so you have an extra level of security. The only thing I found kinda overwhelming was that if you slam a door too hard, it shows a notification “Accident detected” and saves the video of you hitting the door. But I should play with settings to make it less sensitive. Other than that, everything is excellent.

Very pleased with the garmin drive dash cam. We bought it for our jeep as we take lots of trips and wanted to be notified of parking lot accidents real time. It has worked great so far.

Live dash cam but live mode doesn’t working at all. That camera have have very bad lte antenna and almost nowhere doesn’t working live mode. Not worth such price. Returned back within one week

I previously owned a Garmin Dashcam, that Dashcam continuously recorded to the memory card. The DashCam Live does that as well. However, all you get with live is the ability to check on your vehicle (as though its a ring camera) it does not automatically save the data to the cloud. Now in the years since the created my previous Garmin Dashcam, they have not evolved to view the data on the card through the app. You must still take the card out and use a reader to view. I realized this after someone tried to run me off the road. I gave up on this Garmin and am trying a different Brand. For the price it is not worth it. Especially with a 19.99 or 9.99 monthly fee that only saves data you manually push to it. SMH

I really wanted to get a 4k dashcam but I trust Garmin products to be reliable and well built over other brands so that’s why I picked the Garmin Live Cam. Love the “Live View” feature, it really works as advertised. It is exactly what I was looking for since I live in an apt. complex with high traffic and my Honda Accord is a thief’s magnet. I pay 9.99/month and I’m happy with it. I will be getting a 4k Dash Camera from Garmin as soon as it is released!

I once had a dash cam that recorded to the cloud. All the time. 24/7 if you wanted it to. This dash cam does NOT record to the cloud!!!!!! If you are drving down the road, the video is getting recorded to a memory card. If at a later time you want to transfer a video file to the cloud, it is a slow and manual process. I guess I should’ve researched this a little deeper but paying for a cellular connection, I was assuming I was getting cloud recording. Also, the Garim Drive app is not very intuitive. Mostly regretting this purchase.

Perfect for my traveling, camping needs. Has live video if anything unusual happens around my vehicle if I'm in it or away from it. Major safety item for the times we live in. Video is very clear!

Ive had the garmin cames for a while and this is a great add on to the dashcam line, i feel very confident with the dashcam in my car because i can check it on my car no matter what time of day it is.

I bought two of them they are expensive but it’s worth it believe me in case of an accident I had some accidents and was a great proof for my car insurance was not my fault

I have been using this camera over two weeks now and I am impressed with it. The software is really responsive and reliable; well connected with the phone Drive app. The LTE feature is now one of my favorite features aside all the other safety great features it already has. The videos are cristal clear day and night as well. After using many different brands in the past, I can say Garmin is my favorite. I have been using their dash cams without any issues whatsoever. Definitely the quality is top notch. As long as you know how to set it up, you shouldn’t run into any issues with it.

I hate when you are relying on it to record but its not!! I Almost got hit! And i dont have a proof!
