Coming from the Vivoactive 5, this not really an upgrade, but I wanted something more running focused and would not break the bank. This is it, especially if you are a new runner.

I really like my forerunner 165 especially caming from the forerunner 55. Tge display is really bright and the battery life is still amazing.

I love the watch, I mived from Apple to Fitbit to Garmin and I can say i love Garmin. I love the reports it guves me and the customization it allows me.

This was my first time using the Garmin watch and it has been a pretty good watch so far. I use it for the gym and recently started using it on my runs. The Garmin app paired with the watch gives so much statistics. I would say it is worth the price

I used this for cycling and running battery life is amazing and tracks your sleep couldnt ask for more would recomend 100 %!

I wear this watch 24/7 to monitor my heart rate and activity levels. It's especially important for me to track my heart rate while running—if it gets too high, I slow down. My previous model, the Forerunner 25, didn't have heart rate monitoring. I'm also using this watch to track my health and performance statistics.

Truly best bang for your buck if you’re a beginner-intermediate runner because of the features it offers although I wish I got the music edition the standard is best definitely recommend

Mostly good, but had trouble getting GPS to connect. Call with Garmin was very helpful.

The Garmin Forerunner 165 does what it promises — it tracks runs, workouts, and daily activity reliably. The GPS is accurate, and the battery life is solid enough for regular training sessions. However, the interface isn’t the most user-friendly, and it takes some time to get used to navigating the menus. It serves the purpose for fitness tracking, but it doesn’t deliver a “wow” factor compared to other smartwatches I’ve tried. Overall, a dependable device, but ease of use could be improved.

I finally wore out my Forerunner 45 to the point that it literally fell apart, and I had to get this guy. The watch is durable, as Garmin users know, and accurate, but I can't stand the new interface. Maybe because I made such a big generational jump, the software on this watch is a bit less intuitive, which means I have to fiddle when I am just trying to record a movement. Otherwise, great.

I bought this smartwatch to monitor my glucose levels, but to my surprise, this smartwatch does soooo much more. The battery life is insane. I can wear this watch for over 8 hrs and it is at 93% when I get home from work around 5 pm. Quick charging too, oh by the way, with the apps, you can create your own watch faces! Best smartwatch EVER!!!!!!

I LOVE THIS WATCH! the Forerunner 165. It is a highly recommended and reliable run tracker at a competitive price. The watch provides a comprehensive set of essential tools, including reliable GPS, pace, heart rate, and sleep metrics. The touchscreen is stunningly vibrant and remains clear even in direct sunlight. Additionally, the watch is lightweight and compact, making it very comfortable for all-day wear.

This watch does everything you need an entry level fitness watch to do. Battery life is 11 days without any GPS-tracked activities. I average about 45min/day of GPS tracked activities and i charge it about once a week. The ability to use third party watch faces and apps via Garmin Connect IQ really sets it apart from other watches. Connecting to your phone via the Garmin app is very easy, the ability to read texts and see if I need to respond is nice. If you want to be able to respond (via voice) or take calls, then you need to move up to the FR570, but it does what I need. The only negative feedback I have for it is the pool swim workout, it is not good at detecting when I change directions so the distance ends up being significantly off (+/- 20% at times) but I am only an occasional swimmer so it does not affect me very much. If you are an avid swimmer you may want to spec up.
