Customers are saying

Customers recognize the vívofit 2 Activity Tracker's exceptional battery life and ease of use as significant advantages. Many appreciate its water resistance and sleep tracking capabilities, while some find the syncing process challenging and express a desire for a heart rate monitor. The device's size and clasp have also received mixed feedback. Overall, the positive aspects of battery life and ease of use appear to outweigh the concerns regarding syncing and the lack of a heart rate monitor for many users.

    Great & Comfortable Activity Tracker

I have been very happy with my Vivofit 2 Activity Tracker. I love that I do not have to charge it and that it can get wet! It is comfortable to wear all day and night and does not look big and bulky on my slim wrist. It has motivated me to keep moving and I love the red bars that appear when I have been inactive for too long!

    an overall good experience

I researched fitness and activity trackers thoroughly before I bought this one: it had all the specific features I wanted and is waterproof. I had just decided I liked it a lot before I went to sleep on day 10 and l woke up on day 11 and the screen was blank so I had to return it. The ability to see the step count continuously was really motivating. I liked the look and feel on my wrist, and swimming with it, although I was disappointed to learn that it didn't give me activity "credit" for swim strokes. The inactivity red bar was helpful in that I found myself striving to move and prevent the red bar from showing up, but once it does appear on the screen, it takes a long time of activity to get it off the screen. Sometimes you have to sit for more than 15 minutes (like working at the computer) so this feature's functionality depends on your lifestyle as to whether this would enhance your experience with the device. The sleep tracker is not automatic so you have to remember to tap it when its lights out to sleep. In the category of simple daily activity trackers its probably the category leader. I was disappointed when it broke so quickly but maybe it was just a fluke.

Thank you for your review of your vívofit 2.

The move bar will be displayed after one hour of inactivity. This bar builds in length the longer you are inactive. The first red bar equals one hour of inactivity. Each additional bar equals 15-minutes of inactivity.

By walking you can reverse this trend. After walking continuously for a few minutes the bar will reset and disappear from the screen. A full inactivity meter can take up to 200 continuous steps to reset completely. This is designed to be a gentle reminder it's time to move, gradually nudging you toward a more active lifestyle.

An update was released for Garmin Connect that allows the sleep information to automatically be detected from an activity tracking device. Garmin Connect will automatically check for a sleep period the first time the device is synced after the pre-set sleep time. Garmin Connect will automatically set the lowest period of activity as the sleep time.

Garmin Connect will not change the sleep time automatically if it was entered manually or if the device is put into the Sleep mode.

We always look forward to hearing from our customers. If you would like additional technical support or for repair or replacement please contact our Customer Service team at http://www.garmin.com/support

iT WAS A FAULTY VIVO FITT, 2 IT HAD METAL BLOBS BLOCKING THE SCREEN AND IT DID NOT FIT INTO THE BANK PROVIDED VERY WELL, THEREFORE THE BUTTON TO PUSH ONLY WORKED ABOUT 1/8TH OF THE TIME SINCE THE FIT BIT DID NOT FIT PROPERLY INTO THE BANK. I LOVED MY VIVO FIT 1.

I bought the Vivofit 2 to replace my Fitbit Charge which stopped charging after nine months. It is not as accurate as the Fitbit, it is harder to plug in to charge, and you don't get a weekly report on your weeks steps, miles, sleep, etc. Overall disappointed in product.

We appreciate your feedback on the vivofit 2. Garmin Activity Trackers can accept a custom stride length to improve the accuracy of steps and overall distance values. The steps for this are listed in the FAQ below. The vivofit 2 will have a battery life of at least one year and does not require a charging cable. When you need to replace the battery this can be done with two coin-cell batteries. You can view weekly reports at Garmin Connect (www.connect.garmin.com).

I was an early adopter for the Garmin vivofit product and have only taken it off twice (to swap out band color). Very comfortable, and virtually indestructible unit! Waterproof no issues wearing in shower or in swimming pools. I like internal battery of this unit vs. charging with USB. Sleep monitor works great. Much better than competitors products IMO.

    Good features...doesn't auto sync

I do like how this product is designed. It is much more accurate the fitbit that i had. it tracks steps accurately and doesn't add steps to the count when you are standing still. I also like the locking clasp. And the fact that the removable piece is built more solidly than others. If it did auto sync, then it would be perfect.

This vivo 2 is easy to set up and use. I really like it except for one detail. The distance must be calculated by the number of steps you take and it's not very close to correct. I walk a track, so I tested my theory by taking long steps one day and short steps the next day and the same distance was 2 tenths of a mile different when the info was synced to my Garmin account. It would be very nice if there was an option to enter your own personal step length. But, I still really like it.

    Great Activity Tracker

I did a lot of research into which activity tracker to buy and settled on the Vivofit 2. Wearing the band for 2 weeks now I am very happy with my purchase. The Vivofit 2 is easy to set up & use. I like the reminder that I have been inactive, it gets me moving more than I would previous to wearing it. I also have a GPS watch for my running, but this keeps track of all day sorts of stuff and keeps me going. I am very goal oriented and to see a goal for steps each day helps me get there. No charging is HUGE for me. No worries about getting it plugged in. I highly recommend this tracker for anyone!
