Needed to replace an old freezer that died. Shopped around and found the best value for the size I wanted at Best Buy. The freezer is well appointed and hold a lot for its size. Having the temperature control on the door is handy. The two drawers are a nice touch and have come in handy. Would purchase again.

This freezer looks great, fits well in the garage and has lots of shelves and drawers so we can stock up on frozen food. Was delivered pretty fast for these days! Cooled down fast and is super quiet.

Love the glass shelving and the 3 undershelf "keepers". Good storage in the door too. Chilled to 0 degrees in just a couple of hours. Very quiet.

one of the best purchases I’ve ever made…I love the fact that I can now see and find everything easily on the glass shelves…there is plenty of space on the shelves plus there’s additional storage bins on the door…the interior light is very bright and the lock is also a great feature…I also would like to say that it’s very convenient having the digital controls on the outside of the door…I purchased this freezer sight unseen because there wasn’t any store close to me that had it on display

Just the right size in the garage; doesn't take up much room. Working beautifully. Products frozen solid!!!! Has taken a burden off the crowded spaces in both our kitchen and utility room refrig/freezers inside house.

We needed to replace our old chest freezer and wanted an upright one. The delivery guys were very professional and the freezer was set up and working in no time. The seal on the door is so strong you almost move the freezer before it opens which is great because we know that its sealed tightly. I tested the temp with a thermometer and the freezer is staying withing 1 degree of where I set it. So far we really like it.

Bought because really efficient. Immediately reduced the temp in the room where it sits compared to the old (I mean old) one that was in there where we could have smoked meat. Is also smaller but fits our needs. Like the alarms and I don't know if its us or the fridge but the door didn't quite close twice and let us know before it was too late.

This is a great freezer. Took no time at all to get hold after set up. Love the glass shelves. Just the right size for my garage.

We’ve only had it a couple of months, but so far I love it. I don’t know what noise some reviewers are talking about. The only thing I hear is the sound it makes when creating a vacuum to seal the door. Being able to - accurately - set the temperature is a great feature. I can’t speak yet to its durability, but overall it’s such an improvement over what we had before I can’t really make a comparison. Great value for the price.

We bought this unit to replace another brand that failed after only 18 months in my non-AC Arizona garage. We chose the GE on the basis of Consumer Reports' rating, which was slightly lower than the rating of our previous freezer. But that one fried. This GE is advertised as "garage-ready," engineered to withstand temperature extremes. We'll see. But the design is good, I like the indicator in the door and the beep when the door doesn't get closed completely.

I have other ge appliances and been really happy with them I like the temperatures feature on the outside and the alarm so you don’t forget to close the door

Perfect replacement for a much older freezer. Large interior, shelving, and bins allow excellent storage capacity. Working great so far. Runs quiet.

Well insulated it seems since once it got to temp it hasn't been on running. Nice controls on the door panel, turbo freeze works great if door is open for any length of time and you need to cool it down quickly. I also appreciate the door lock on this unit for safety as we have small kids. Tremendous amount of room for storage.

This upright freezer is perfect for a small family of 4. Easily can see what is on the shelfs. I am writing this review s years later as an accurate assessment of the quality and function. I would recommend this product.

My 1 year + Amana freezer gave out unexpectedly and could not be repaired for some reason. I went to Best Buy and picked the GE because it was exactly the dimensions that I need for my garage. My wife liked the LED display on the front door and we both like the interior space and its freezing capabilities. It has worked like a charm, we love it.

Great improvement over our old chest freezer -- we can see everything and get to it easily!! And no worries about having to defrost it. Plus the internal layout allows us a lot of flexibility in what sorts of containers, in what sizes and shapes, we need to keep frozen.

This freezer is the perfect size. It was at zero degrees within a few hours and is in our garage. I've had a GE previously and have been very happy. It was delivered within two weeks as promised and was set up by the delivery guys with no problems and the answers to all our questions.
