The bagel setting doesn't seem to do anything. Fine for us, since we like both sides toasted anyway, but some people wouldn't like that. Maybe ours is defective.

Especially like the special setting for bagels. And it fits in perfectly with the rest of my appliances and it looks great!

Good Choice for a Toaster

The light/dark dial goes to 7, & that's usually where I have it to make the bread slices toasty enough. The slot width works fine to accommodate thick bread, muffins, & bagels. The frozen button is great to have, too. The exterior isn't exactly cool-touch, but it doesn't get hot-hot either. The exterior also is not fingerprint resistant, in case that's important to you. (I keep it in a cabinet when not in use, so that doesn't really matter to me). The only thing that really bugs me is the power cord, which is unusually stiff/inflexible. It doesn't want to stay in the underneath indented track so the toaster can sit level, & it won't just lay on the counter like a normal cord. If not for that, I would've given it 5 stars.

I been liking it from the get go I really like the frozen option as it heats up quickly and toast evenly. The silver tone is of high appeal it has a glossy finish on the top trip and a matte brush finish on the surrounding shell. Buttons and dials are very smooth thus not require to be depressed hard or be rough on the appliance. I highly recommended. Goes along with a previous GE silver microwave finish I bought from best buy few weeks back prior to this one. Thank you.
