I purchased this dishwasher, because it offered great value and style. The slate color matched our kitchen decor and resists showing finger prints. Inside, the jets on the top rack do a good job of cleaning deep glasses and bottles. The dishwasher beeps and turns on every time you close the door, which is annoying, but I could live with that, if it were the only problem. Unfortunately, constant door leaks make this a product to avoid. Other reviews mention leaks from the left bottom corner of the dishwasher door, wetting the sound insulation. The leaks caused my hardwood floors to cup, and I am convinced that the dishwasher is defective and irreparable. I really wish that I had splurged on a better model and brand, because these repairs will ultimately cost me three times the purchase price of what I deem a defective product.

Dishwasher freezes up about once every two months for the last few years requiring being powered off at the breaker for 30s or more, sometimes repeatedly to continue working. Unsure of why but now it’s failing to come back and just beeps repeatedly despite power recycling. No warranty on the 2017 purchase so I guess it’s “time to go buy a new one”… not a happy owner the past few years.

Only lasted 7 years and now have to spend money on a new one I can't afford

SCAM ALERT... I purchased this dishwasher in November of 2016. Since my girlfriend and I are in a small Condo we had run 4 cycles by June 2018. Those cycles were not to clean anything but just to keep the wheels turning, so to speak. The unit quit working June of 18, no power, no lights, nothing. Checked fuse, cord, etc...all to no avail. Took me forever to get GE Customer Service to respond. Finally they did, we went back and forth before they agreed to waive the $99.95 service fee, 25% off labor, and 50% off parts.....I said okay (remember folks, 4 cycles).....The day that the tech was to come out I was recontacted by customer service and told that the lady I had spoken to made a mistake and that I WOULD NOT BE GETTING 25% OFF LABOR......Bad business, but whatever. Guy comes out and plugs one end of a small cable to my washer and the other end to a laptop......60 seconds later...."All done, sir, That will be $130.00"....I had just discovered the biggest scam you can imagine..If you have a GE dishwasher, the vast majority of the units need to have the "Software Updated" every 18 months or so.....You can't do this yourself, neither can the retailer that sold you the unit. The good and honorable folks at GE do not give anybody the software.....WHAT IS THERE TO UPDATE ON MY 300 DOLLAR DISHWASHER? NOTHING ! The tech as much as flat out told me it's a money grab....I asked him if this will happen again in another year and a half....."roughly", he replied.... The worst part is they demand payment to unlock your dishwasher, because that is all it is.....They acted as if they were doing me a favor.....DO NOT FALL FOR THIS.....WE have 20 GE appliances in our restaurant and plan to replace them all. I will not adide thieves....Our glass top stove is also bubbling after a year or so, but that's another issue. But I am advising all to listen up. GE will not tell you that your dishwasher is gonna shut down every so often and that they will then stick you up for up to $250.00.......Then they'll say, "we love your business and will waive the service call".....WHAT SERVICE?....SCAM ALERT!

Replacement for another unit about a year ago. It cleans well enough but a cycle takes a very long time to complete. It's much more quiet than previous unit. Would like to have an operating manual. Overall pleased with purchase.

I have had this dishwasher for 5 years and I love it except now, it keeps breaking. I've had the geek squad schedule 4 appts now. One visit was due to an electrical outlet issue (which was totally my fault). The other 3 were because it will power on, then when I hit the start button, I get 3 beeps and it shuts off. It won't run the cycle. In my opinion, it's not built to last like the older model dishwashers. Calling Geek Squad out again now.

Very quiet unit but does not clean anything. Filter clogs every 2 cleaning cycle, even when dishes are pre-rinsed before starting load. Went through all GE online troubleshooting and had water checked only to waste even more time and money on a piece of junk. Buyer beware, please consider a different machine for your own sake. This will be the last GE product I ever purchase.

This is the worst dishwasher I have ever owned, no contest. I tried to return it to the store, but I had waited too long —my fault. It simply does not clean very well at all. I regularly have to re-clean forks, knives, and spoons, and occasionally a plate. Very disappointed, but now stuck with it for 10 years.
