This microwave is good and bad. I had to get it because my original same model microwave broke after almost 4 years, which is too short in my opinion. It is the one that fits the matching trim, so I had to get the same one again. It works fine, but not sure how long it will last.

It looks fine over my wall oven, which is a different brand. I am still getting used to it, and so far I have only one complaint: I don’t trust the “Sensor Cooking” buttons. This is based solely on my attempts to reheat cold mugs of coffee. Instead of being reheated, the coffee ends up literally boiling hot. So hot that oven mitts need to be used to pull the coffee mug out! In fact, through trial and error I have discovered that it just takes 25 seconds on “cook time” to reheat my coffee in a mug. I don’t trust the other “sensor cooking” buttons to bake a potato or a vegetable, for example, so I’m not using them. I’m keeping a really close eye on the Defrost button, too.

We bought this to replace a similar model that had the stainless steel trim. The old one just started failing from time to time (would spin, but it would not heat). This one has virtually the same features. It did require a new mounting setup, but we were able to use the old "stainless" outer trim (and it looks good). Installation was not difficult, but you will want to take a little care to make sure the mounting brackets are properly positioned. It heats very well (at least as well as the last one), and it's not at all noisy. The buttons are very responsive. The only problem we have is that it is difficult to read the labels on the buttons. At first glance, you would think it would be clear, but it's only clear if you are pretty much looking straight at it. Ours is mounted under the counter, so we have to crouch to read them. The old one was not as difficult. Thankfully, they are in the same layout, so we were used to their position.

This is the replacement oven for my 13 year old GE Profile built-in microwave with two matching ovens. It works as advertised and I am happy with it. However, GE has changed the style and the appearance of the microwave and it has minor differences from the two built in ovens. This one is square at corners and it does not have the curvatures at the top of trim like the ovens. The built-in ovens have white digital clock numbers. This one has green digital clock numbers. This was the best match to my two GE Profile ovens. The new trim kit is plastic and covered with a thin product that looks like stainless steel. The trim kit was also an additional $240. The old trim kit would not work with this microwave oven. The screw holes do not align. This was the best match to my two GE Profile ovens. I installed the microwave oven. The instructions were ok, just follow them carefully to get all screws to align with holes. Recommend having two people for the final install-one to hold the microwave and one to plug the cord into the back of the cabinet.

The 2.2 GE Profile Microwave works great for our cooking needs. We had the installers come out 3 to times and they worked diligently to provide us excellent service. The new model of Profile is very satisfactory since it makes little to no noise. Moreover we like the colors and the sleek design of the cabinet. Since value is our goal we liked the moderate price of the microwave. Thanks

A replacement for a model GE no longer makes. Exact same size, was hoping to use existing chrome trim but ended up buying a new chrome trim at $250, not exactly what I wanted but otherwise microwave works and looks great. Disappointing to spend money on a new trim when what I had was practically new.

Bought this model to replace a GE 2.2 cu.ft microwave. The original GE lasted 8 years and installed as a set with a wall oven. An add-on trim frame made the microwave match the oven. The original frame would not work with the new microwave which was an extra expense. The chrome door of the original was not available as a choice with the new model so we elected for dark gray door. The microwave and the trim frame have a cheaper, flimsy feel compared to the originals. The new microwave omits the GE name badge on the door. We miss that name badge to slam the door shut to avoid fingerprints. GE did a good job simplifying the control panel which makes the oven with more usable cooking features, e.g. the Popcorn button works well. The interior of this oven is dark gray and starves the interior light -- you really can't watch the food cook by peering through the window. But, overall we are glad GE still makes an oven and a frame so that this oven appears as a set to fit our cabinet space.

I recently upgraded to the GE Profile 2.2 cu. Ft. built-in microwave, and I’m loving it so far! It features a modern, sleek design with easy-to-use glass touch controls, making the kitchen feel more up-to-date. The sensor cooking feature is a lifesaver—no more guessing if my leftovers are piping hot or just lukewarm.

Beautiful microwave if a microwave can be beautiful. Great reheat function as well as cooking a potato. It senses how big or how much food there is and cooks or reheats it to perfection. Very weird though that I can put a container with butter in it to try to melt it and the container is too hot to touch and the butter isn’t melted. There is probably a setting I’m missing. Microwaves have come a long way and this one seems to be a great one. We will see in the long run.

Replaced same model that died 6 yrs after being installed. Reused trim kit which is near impossible to put back together. Replaced same model that stopped working prematurely so I would not have to purchase a new trim kit. Very unhappy with this but was stuck with trying to match size etc.

Efficient, easy to operate, and fits the space left by my old GE profile microwave that lasted 15 years. Much easier to keep this exterior clean (no nobs). And the stainless trim kit keeps the color theme with our existing appliances. Here’s to another 15 years!!

Our GE Profile Microwave is great. Love the durability and it is easy to use. Very spacious and accommodates most microwave safe dishes. Five stars ⭐️ ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I replaced my very old white GE profile with this one. I figured if the last one lasted so long it only made sense to buy the same thing again. It is perfect and huge inside! Fits a whole pizza box (to keep warm, I don’t heat up pizza in the box). Very easy to clean too!

The GE microwave oven replaced an older GE model which stopped working after about 14 years. I chose this model because I wanted to install it where the previous one was built-in. The new oven works as well as the old one did. No complaints!

The exterior feels more like plastic compared to our old GE Profile microwave, which had a metal exterior. Maybe I'm mistaken, but it seems like the exterior is made of hard plastic instead of glass.

It’s perfect. I’m so glad I purchased this Microwave it’s super faster and heats up perfectly and in less time. I love it and the price was very low.

It's a good size, it heats up very quickly and I recommend it.

Our GE 1.6 cu ft 1100 watts built in microwave died after 22 years of great service. We looked for a replacement that was close to dimensions/power of our old one but most that came close only had 900 watts. So we went with the 2.2 cu ft GE profile which had 1100 watts and glad we did. It just fit into the cabinet but has a larger cooking area and does a nice job of heating. The control panel was similar to our old microwave so we felt right at home operating it. I would recommend this microwave oven.
