Phone was refurbished, but except for packaging, you never know. Unlike many products from various places, this item was completely scent free. Screen and back were pristine. No problems with function. As for the phone itself: Love it! I'm an Android person and this is most everything I want. Not bogged down with company or other extra apps. Battery lasts a long time, as promised.
