This monitor originally released in 2021 and almost 3 years later it's still one of the top contenders on value and features, however that is now in question because of how other competitors have now caught on price and have also surpassed on features. Pros -Affordable -Competitive refresh rate -Multiple USB-A & USB-C ports -Great video quality once properly calibrated Cons -Terrible color calibration out of box (yellow/greenish tint) -Poor 300 nit brightness in 2024 on a non-oled screen is not optimal (you can bump brightness up to 500 but you have to flash its firmware and play around with HDR settings) - A few artifacts issues that may occur randomly depending on your GPU - Monitor not detecting source, if not, not waking up at all after PC is set to sleep This is still a great choice when it comes to an entry level 4K monitor, however when you compare pros & cons against other brands offerings, you quickly realize this monitor is now showing its age. If this monitor was $400 I would recommend it without hesitation, but at the $500 price point it's better to save up for a newer model from LG, or even save up a few more to get an oled screen.

Best 4k monitor for the price. I bought this monitor in total for around 500 or 600 dollars. Got the highest warranty offered and tax included. Only other 4k monitor that beats this is the in store lg 4k monitor price for around 300 or something dollars. Randomly happens and sells out very quickly.

I’ve had the monitor for about 3 years now never had a problem with it. It has some cool features like a crosshair which you can turn on and off and it helps in some games. This monitor also has built in speakers which was an upgrade from my old one which didn’t have any. It was always running smooth and I’m loving it 10/10

Good monitor for PS5/XSX, I would recommend it because of the price, BUT it has only been less than one month of daily 2-5 hour use and I already have one tiny dead pixel.

4k 144hz IPS KVM HDMI 2.1 hard to beat for the $ Easy set up, no eye strain so far. Comes with three power cables for world wide use. Nice thin bezel. Raises and lowers effortlessly. Haven't tried the KVM yet. HDR mode not very useful. Using it in standard mode is great though. Set up is a snap, stand just clicks into monitor back. No RGB, but how useful is that when most monitor backs face the wall anyway. If I could have found the LG 27GN950-B in stock, I would have got that instead (More expensive by around $300 though). Going to 28" from 27" 1440p monitor is not a perceivable size difference, but the 4k bump is impressive in detail. Has improved my gaming a ton. Easier to see other players. Back light edge bleed is noticeable only with largely solid colors on screen. Great gaming monitor, but there are many ones with better HDR and details in shadows out there. For the money it's hard to beat and decent for productivity too. Console gamers with love the latest HDMI connection. Built in speakers not very useful but can be ok for simple stopgap use. Love the non reflective finish on the panel. Ticks all my boxes at the best price. Would buy it again. Pick up at the store was a snap, just had to wait for it to come in. Don't know why shipping isn't an option, unless it's to limit RMA's due to damage in transit.

Bought this m28u monitor to fully utilize my 4090. High pixel density makes for a very crisp image, colors are great, and doesn’t have any backlight bleed. However, after a few months I do have a dead or stuck pixel. Overall very nice unit but minus a star for that darn pixel.

This monitor has enhanced my gaming experience to new heights. Vibrant colors, well balanced brightness and of course HDMI 2.1 ability! This monitor supports 4K gaming at 120 fps! My games have never looked so good. No more ghosting or shuttering frames. I’ve played through several of my favorite games again just to experience them the way the developers intended. Setup was quick and painless. This is the only monitor at this price point that will deliver a true hdmi 2.1 experience. I have been extremely happy with my purchase for a year now, highly recommend!

Great cheaper gaming monitor never had a problem just upgraded to the oled after 3 years

Incredible monitor quality comes through beautiful just might have to look up a video for some settings adjustments.

It's hard to think of anything that delivers 4K, 144hz, 1ms, and freesync at this price point.

I was a little concerned, as I am not familiar with Gigabyte Monitors, but the M28u is a fantastic monitor. I was originally trying to purchase the LG 27GP950, but it was unavailable for months. The M28u is cheaper and it has zero backlit bleed. It has a decent HDR, not the greatest, but serviceable if you tune it right on your hardware. It also offers a great color pallette and gaming options. I highly recommend this monitor with a set of Media Light bias lighting for the back of your monitor. Great combo!

It’s a good HDMI 2.1 monitor! It ran smooth and looked stunning. Only problem is mine had a dead pixel and of course for the price of this monitor we don’t want that. Other than that I have no complaints!

This has been the best Monitor i had,i bought it for my PS5 and it’s absolutely amazing it has HDMI 2.1 for 120hz(FPS) and for PC use it has 144hz! I highly recommend it for both Nect Gen Consoles and gir PC Gaming

good monitor for new generation consoles with adequate characteristics to enjoy a more immersive game, the 28” of the monitor is suitable for competitive games, I also use it as a secondary monitor of my MacBook Pro with type c connection, excellent response and resolution. highly recommended.
