[Employee of bestbuy] Greatest movie of all time no close yes in my opinion

This was just as good in 4k as it was in 1080p. I thought it was so good, I couldn't help but see if the image was better in HDR. HDR makes for a better viewing experience by far. Very nice setup. Glad I ordered this.

I've purchased some 4k titles which i feel were subpar to titles such as this one. The picture is crisp, vibrant and the hdr really breathes new life into this title. Highly recommend, especially at the price point

Ancient Rome is thriving. After General Maximus leads the Roman legions to victory in their final battle against the Germanic tribes, he longs for nothing more than to return to his wife, son and farm in Spain. But Emperor Marcus Aurelius has other plans. Knowing that Maximus holds the utmost loyalty to him and to Rome—and not trusting his own son and heir apparent, Commodus—the aging emperor asks Maximus to succeed him on the throne. The depraved Commodus gets wind of this and arranges for Maximus to disappear—permanently. Maximus escapes his assassins but winds up as a slave to Proximo, a trainer of gladiators. The general, who becomes a slave forced to fight to entertain the man who tried to have him murdered, plots revenge. Positive Elements: Maximus is a man of honor and is incorruptible. He turns down an opportunity for power and riches because it violates the principles for which he stands. He tells the decadent Commodus, “What we do in life echoes into eternity.” He tells a scheming Lucilla, “I never acquired your comfort for lying.” Three gladiators form a bond of friendship and self-sacrifice to help each other. And, in a back-door way of affirming what is good, the evil Commodus gets his comeuppance in the end.

One my all time favorite movies. Really happy to get it (finally) in 4K. Everything is crisp and vibrant as it should be. Sound is top notch as well. This is one of those must-have films for any collection.

Great movie a Russell Crowe classic cant wait for sequel

Got this movie because it's great. But the added Dolby Atmos sound is why I bought this. The music is epic and the sound makes the movie like you've never heard it before. Definitely worth it!!

This movie is deff. one of the top best Ancient History Lore Action Films of all time and with the 4k audio and video being outstanding it stays among the top 5 must have 4k movies of all time!

This movie is simply one of the greatest films ever made. Ridley Scott delivers a masterpiece of a story with Gladiator. Russel Crowe is my favorite actor of all time and this movie is a big reason why.

This movie belongs in your 4K collection. The 4K transfer looks great mostly because of the great colors and HDR. The soundtrack has gotten a very nice update too. You won’t be disappointed.

This compelling film won Russell Crowe an Academy Award for best actor. I didn’t think it could be any better. Saw it in the movie theater and owned the blu ray, but it’s a whole new Gladiator in 4k.

This is an absolute masterpiece and I love how no matter that it’s an old movie it has aged well. Great acting and story and would recommend to anyone who loves movies as much as I do

Epic film with a beautiful transfer. Must own 4K for anyone that is not entertained.

The Dolby Vision transfer is phenomenal and it should definitely be included in your collection if your TV supports it. It goes without saying that the movie was terrific as well.

I have the blu ray and this is definitely an upgrade from that. The 4k really pops and it is like this is how the movie should be.

Wanted a copy of this movie for my 4K collection. Great performances and sad loss for 2 great actors in Oliver Reed and Richard Harris. Hours of extras well worth watching as well.

The acting and action in this movie give it 5 stars not to mention the great story. The soundtrack is also very well done. I would certainly add this one to your DVD/Bluray library.

Ridley Scott's second best movie. Joaquin Phoenix is evil, Russell Crowe kills them all! This is the Blu-Ray to buy, the quality of sound and picture is excellent! ROMA VICTOR!
