You really cannot go wrong with Google Chromecast. The new design with the flexible neck is ideal for those hard to reach HDMI ports. I bought this one of our treadmill screen and it works perfectly. I can binge on Netflix while exercising...perfect.

For sure, now my non-smart tv has become smart. And I am loving it.

My wife and I looked at a lot of reviews for the different products of this type. We decided on Chrome Cast and haven't been disappointed. Love looking at our pictures on the TV and watching our Netflix and Hulu on it as well! Easy setup too!

it's awesome at mobile streaming but the one drawback is streaming from laptop.

I had a 1st generation chromecast and I bought this one to see how it goes. It is pretty fast. But if you don't have a good internet connection you are probably better off with the 1st gen chromecast because it has a larger memory for buffer.

I have owned this device for well over a year and it has generally been reliable. The only times it was not reliable was when my 5Ghz Wifi signal was moved further away from it (router downstairs, it upstairs) where the reception was to low for it to function (perform it's job) properly. If your 5Ghz WiFi signal is weak where you intend to use it then you would be best to add a 5Ghz range extender someplace between the wireless router and this device. This is especially so if your home is older and has lead paint on the walls and/or ceiling. The lead blocks such signals and will prevent proper functionality of it. Again, a 5Ghz booster/repeater/extender would be needed for homes with lead paint on the walls and/or ceilings. Use a cell phone, computer or tablet with a 5Ghz WiFi connection and test the connection where it will be. If around 50% signal strength then it should work. If not then add a 5Ghz booster/repeater/extender between it and your wireless router.

I use Google Chrome and stream Comcast shows' movies, and live TV. Works great!

I really liked my first gen chromecast but there were issues with buffering and connectivity. The work around was to reduce the quality of the steam. With THIS new generation, connectivity is MUCH BETTER. Very responsive. Definitely recommend.

I really enjoyed this device to mirror my screen to the big screen.

Regardless of the operating system, the Chromecast is compatible. So long as you use the Chromecast App for iOS or Android or the Chrome web browser for Windows or Mac OS, you are good to go.

The Chromecast was easy to install and operate. Had some difficulty pairing with my daughter's Galaxy S6 (it wouldn't recognize that the phone was nearby), but don't think it was the Chromecast's fault as I was able to easily pair it with my HTC M9.
