This was my 5th or 6th Chromecast. I install on every tv at home and at the office for the ease of use and the ability to share my computer or phone screen. Probably stream 5-6 movies from the phone every week to one of my devices using the CC. Love it!

This was as plug and play as it gets. I used this for a tv in the garage with our treadmill. It allowed us to take a relatively cheap and generic tv and bring a lot more functionality to it. Plug in, follow easy on screen directions and boom, done.

It works great for playing videos and other media. It's easy to just push the media to the chrome cast so it can been seen on the TV. USB power works great with our TV set-up for power, but it comes with a power adapter if you don't have USB in your TV.

The product allows you to get certain apps and such onto your tv. Enjoy the ease of getting Netflix and YouTube videos onto a much bigger screen. Would have liked an easier way to show camera or phone pictures wirelessly from iPhone. I am sure there is an app or way just not as easy or straightforward as I would like.

I have both the old stick version and the new round skittles version and the new one does a good job. Has same features as the old version but it does everything better/faster. Reason only giving 4 out of 5 is with 4k on the horizon of becoming a new normal I think it was a missed opportunity to not have it in there.

I upgraded from original to Chromecast 2.0 last December 2015. I had set it up easily. Same thing like original chromecast do. I noticed the picture is very clear on Chromecast 2.0. It has 1080p. If you want adjust screen resolution on the chrome extention, whatever you satisfy to see the picture on your screen.

I purchased several Chromecasts for my home due to the fact that we were going to "cut the cord". I did not research this item and didn't realize there was no remote and my phone would be my remote. This unfortunately would not work for family members visiting my home so I had to return them.

If you have it on your phone or computer you can watch it on tv. Easy setup and near flawless operation make it very easy to see whats on your phone or computer on the much bigger tv screen. Very easy to use by using google chrome and selecting cast.

I use the Chromecast in tandem with my AppleTV - neither fully fills my needs as a stand-alone device, but together, they do a very good job. I find that ESPN (really the only reason I got the Chromecast) works better through the Chromecast than my AppleTV and there's the added benefit that it streams the Pandora app.

Bought this not too long ago, maybe 2 or 3 months. I haven't had any serious issues thus far. Every once in a good while the app playing will crash, but that's nothing more than an inconvenience. Overall, works great and does everything I expected.

Setup was pretty easy. I haven’t yet learned all features. One I’m missing from Apple TV is that google is not turning on the tv and taking it to the hdmi port google is connected. I still need to look for the tv control for that

There was a learning curve for me associated with the Chromecast (which isn't over, by any means). My main problem is that I have a Roku box and a Fire TV box, both of which have their own independent remote controls, while the Chromecast uses my cell phone as the controller. To someone more skilled than I with a cell phone, this might work just fine, but I would much rather use an independent remote. The cell phone goes to sleep constantly and I have to wake it up to send commands, which to me is a big hassle. It works just fine other than that, so I give it a high rating on performance, and I would recommend it based on that. Just personal preference I suppose.

What I really loved about this product is how simple is is to use. You just plug in the device to your tv and power with cables that are included. Download the chromecast app onto your phone. Connect the two devices and you can begin watching your favorite movies and shows from whatever apps you have on your phone. I also love how small and compact it is so it doesn't take up any room and you can easily bring it anywhere. Not to mention it also mirrors exactly what shows on your phone screen if you have an android which is pretty cool to show off to guests.

Connects easily to the computer and the app guides you the rest of the way. Works similar to the screen sharing feature that you can use with Samsung TV's and phones, except you can connect to any TV from any Wi-Fi enabled device.

Best thing in along time. I can add Pictures, Movies, Videos from my Phone to the TV to view. Yes When I get Pictures of the Grandkids in texts I "Cast" them to the TV so we can view them on the 55 inch screen. Amazing device.

My boyfriend bought me a Chromebook for Christmas and I was like great I can stream movies and all kinds of stuff straight to my smart TV. Turns out Chromebook is weird and it's not that easy to do that if you have a Samsung TV, that's where the Chromecast comes in. This works great for casting all sorts of different things to the TV and this is the main reason that it was purchased, I haven't really gotten in there and used any of the different apps yet so I will have to try that out and update my review accordingly.

i had the previous version of the chromecast. This newer version is much better and faster than the previous version. It is able to connect to wifi using the 5 ghz. This is much better to stream HD contents. Would definitively recommend this product

This gadget allows me to stream anything on my computer to my TV , simply and quickly. My only problem is the appearance of a vertical line on the TV that can appear whether or not I am using Chromecast. An Internet search suggests this may be a problem with the TV rather than the Chromecast.

Ok, I may be exaggerating but once you use this you will understand why. This thing is amazing. Cast from you phone or tablet right to your TV. Show photos look at movies or youtube. Once you get one you will probably find a reason to get another.

We had the previous Chromcast version and didn't hesitate to get the new version when we needed to replace it. This is just as easy as the previous version. I do not see much difference, but that is just fine - the previous version was perfect too.
