I purchased this device for my friend. He is extremely fond of watching movies on Internet using his Wifi router and mobile and TV connected to same wifi. This device allows to mirror his mobile screen on a FHD TV and he can watch the entire movie on his TV without any lag. The picture and sound quality displayed on TV are superb. There is only 1 issue with the device. It requires half an hour to setup first time. He had to log into the Wifi admin and change some settings (too technical for me to understand ) and then only the device could simultaneously detect mobile and TV. I hope Google would some day automate this process.

I got a Google Chromecast already knowing how it works since my old roommate used to have one. But I started seeing how much more it can do and how convenient it is to have one! Using my iPhone as my remote and being able to stream the apps from there onto my tv has been such a great tool for me! And it's inexpensive - which is always good. If you have a Smart TV, it won't be much different from the apps you have there but it's good to have a backup in case the apps stop working for some reason. Overall, great buy and very happy with it.

Being that I am an Android fan, and have downloaded a ton of movies from Google Play, a Chromecast was the first accessory that I bought with my new flat-screen. Got to have one for movie watching during the long winter ahead!

Own Chromecast 1st gen, love it. This version of Chromecast fixes two most annoying problems: network connection drop off & overheat. Took less than 2 minutes to set up and everything just work out of the box, no magical config. I love what I see.

This is the second chromecast I have, and I love them both. They are very similar, but the second addition seems a bit faster. I was able to cast my screen on the TV without any issue even if not cast enabled (Come on Uverse, get with the program).

I love this. We don't have cable only internet so this great for us. We can play stuff Netflix,Hulu etc from our phone straight to our tv. The picture quality is awesome and loading is fast. And we can control volume from our device. Great product

I have used the Amazon firestick, as well another miracast device. This just works for what I need it to do. I don't get pauses or jitters in the stream. I would recommend this to anyone that thinks they may be able to use it

Chromecast was already a great product for updating your TV. The new model has better connectivity so you will see faster load times and better streaming qualtlity. Many apps support chromecast on ios and Android. Even apps that don't have native support can be streamed through screenshare in the chromecast app.

I had a 1st generation Chromecast and I needed one for my projector so I jumped at this $20 one on Black Friday. Easy to setup and worked as it should. Chromecast tabs are the best and work great with a wide variety of apps.

I have tried all sorts of screen casting solutions in the past. Many were proprietary, required a dongle, and didn't work well. ChromeCast fixes all that. I hooked it into my A/V received as an HDMI output (alongside the Blu Ray player and FiOS tuner). My kids love using it to cast things from their iPhone, iPad, or anything that has a Chrome browser (the desktop machine in the next room, an Android phone, etc). It just works. And in standby mode it shows some nifty artwork, so your TV becomes a rotating picture frame for a screensaver.

I first purchased a mhl HDMI adapter to use with my Samsung Tablet. I needed to mirror my tablet to my TV. But the MHL adapter was not compatible. So I purchased this instead. And boy am I glad I did! Works better then I thought! Easy to set up!

I just got access to netflix, hulu,& amazon and hated watching on my ipad b/c the speakers were always in the wrong place. This little device is perfect & super easy to set up. So glad I got it. Went with the 2 pack & got one for my sister too!

This device allows for your HDMI enabled screen to receive signals from whatever can cast to it. It has turned a slightly older HDtv into a device that is on par with other modern app enabled smart TVs. Highly recommended!

Much better design shape-wise, had some issues with the old one being too long at times. Seems faster and has some firmware updates that make use much easier. I purchased another one to take with me when I travel to avoid horrible hotel cable.

This is my second Chromecast. I bought it for another TV at another location. I love how easy it was to setup and use. Watching HULU via the Chromecast is like watching live TV! Love it!

A chromecast is $35. A smart tv will run $100 or more than an equivalent tv that does not have internet built into it. As long as there is an HDMI connection, a chromecast allows you to take anything from your phone and project it onto your tv.

Great device for any TV, especially if your TV lacks any smart features or access to YouTube or Netflix. Even if your TV has these features, it's great for casting any device onto a TV. Works as expected and setup was easy.

Chromecast syncs with compatible casting apps such as Hulu, Netflix, YouTube, Facebook etc.... you simply download the app of choice to your smartphone And send the cast signal from your phone to the Chromecast. It's easy, but may require a tutorial for the beginner. Once you learn you will be casting away! Great option for watching funny videos of friends and family on Snapchat, Instagram and Facebook. Setup is as easy as plug the cast into your HDMI outlet on your tv and plugging the powercord into a wall outlet. If you already have Google Home, the App will automatically sync otherwise you will need to download the google app to your smartphone.

This didn't come with much for directions so I had to go online to figure out how to set it up (using windows laptop. might be easier with android device). Took about 30 mins or so. Once I got past the semi annoying set up, it's been great. Connects and casts video without issue every time. Price is great.

What this product offers is simplicity itself. It's easy to set up, looks great and can do almost anything you would want. I took off 1 star for two reasons: One, it doesn't have a remote, everything is done by your smart phone or tablet (or google home now), and two in order to connect to Amazon Prime for streaming you need to go around it by mirroring your phone which means you cannot use your phone while showing something on Amazon Prime. Other than that I love it and I've had a couple Rokus, as well as a Fire Stick from Amazon.
