I already own the chromecast 1st gen, so I know how wonderful this little thing does, and with the improvements, especially 5GHz WiFi support, it is much faster for streaming and screen mirroring.

Bought this for a white elephant gift exchange. People were fighting over it - and the person who got it was so excited! I ended up going to get one for myself to see what all the fuss was about. Haven't used it yet but I've heard GREAT things about it.

I have been debating between Apple & Amazon TV for awhile. I saw this & read the reviews & for the price thought I would give it a try for my son so he wouldn't have to watch thru his XBox anymore. Setup is quick & easy and the device works great. Is still plan to buy one of the others for the main TV but this was a start & I couldn't be happier with he purchase.

The google chromecast is a very good streaming device. This revised version is much faster than the first generation and allows you to watch pretty much every single app possible.

I was one of the early adopters of the chromecast. When the time came to get a similar product for a 2nd tv, I didn't hesitate to buy the newer version. Still one of the best purchases I've made.

I already had chromecast and use it heavily all the time, this one I got for $19 bucks on Black Friday and it connects to my Google Home Mini. Now Kids don't have to ask me to search for their movie on Netflix they can just say it.

I don't have the latest smart television, and the google chromecast just modernized my television viewing experience by allowing me to watch and listen to my app content directly from my tv. Just plug it into an available hdmi slot on the tv, plug the usb power into an outlet, let the chromecast update to the latest firmware, and you're done and ready to watch the latest android app content. Simply easy and amazing to use.

This was one of the best gadget I purchased for Thanksgiving. Cast any online content like HBO from your laptop or iPad directly on to your TV. Me and my wife are great fans of Game of Thrones so we cast HBO directly on to our smart TV to watch in HD.

Has a limited use but does it very well. Exceptional performance for the money - especially in contrast to the disappointing performance of the Apple TV purchased at the same time for alot more.

Easier to fit in tight spaces than prior model. Works as expected and saves us from having to bring laptops to the conference room for presentations. Now everyone can present from their phone.

The Chromecast is exactly what I was looking for to show various slideshows I've created with my iPhone. The installation instructions were very easy to follow, just plus it in and follow along.

I've had the older version of the chromecast for the longest time, and it worked perfectly. Now this one, with its more redefined casing/body is just great. Slimmer, and easier to fit anywhere.

Since you can't just use screen mirroring with your phone and have to open an app that supports this feature it's not any different than any other streaming device. Setup is easy and fast. Good device when you don't want to juggle with another remote.

Just makes watching movies on the TV so much easier and pleasant without having to resort to using so many remotes. Only drawback was that I never received my free $25 GooglePlay store credit.

Extremely easy to cast youtube videos and pictures on your television. The google home app has a wonderful and user friendly interface which streamlines the process of casting.

I love chromecast, it works smoothly without any issues! I don't have to have a huge device to play all of the apps I love(: All it took was, less then 5 minutes to set it up. Thank you Google!

I have a Chromecast now on every TV in my house. It makes playing anything from any android device super simple!! I have movies in Google Play... just cast to the big screen!!

I was skeptical of buying Chromecast, since I already have a smart TV with a lot of the same apps on it as Chromecast. But, what I now realize is that I can cast a lot more up to my TV than what the smart TV, itself, is capable of delivering. So, this device greatly expanded the viewing options available. One reason I did not give it 5 stars is because Chromecast still cannot seem to negotiate 5GHz wi-fi. I have to "dumb down" to my slower wi-fi connection. Fortunately, I have a router that can serve up multiple types of wi-fi connections. (And, I could not find any documentation on this issue, so I had to figure it out on my own.) Otherwise, I'd give this device 5 stars.

Great product, easy to use for the multiple streaming options available now. Has 5.1 output (if you use an A/V receiver, it likely needs to be plugged indirectly for 5.1), and full HD output.
