I think this was an awesome idea but think streaming is a little slow and they could work on some of the problems.

This is my second Chromecast device. I bought the original on day 1 and have loved it. I bought the second as an upgrade for my main TV and moved the original to the bedroom. It's works as promised and the overall experience gets better all the time. Highly recommended no matter Android or iPhone.

I absolutely love my chrome cast. I hate that I have to give it away. I thought it was because I no longer had an Android that stopped me from mirroring. It helps to have one because I couldn’t connect my chromecast to certain things. Such as amazon prime video and the HBO go app. If it wasn’t for that I would continue to use it.

I initially thought the chrome cast was a receiver of some sort that receives transmissions from the phone and streams content from the phone such as YouTube, Netflix, Hulu, sling, etc. NOT SO! It is the chromecast which is the conduit through which all of the foregoing and other applicable services go through. The phone is nearly the remote controller and streams nothing to the Comcast or television. Even then, the ability of the phone to control the Comcast is even in question at times as it will either hang or lag on most occasions. I'm giving it a little bit more time to see if the kinks can be worked out. Otherwise, one would probably be better off with a Roku, AppleTV or PlayStation. That said, the Comcast is much cheaper than all of these so for some maybe the aggravation is worth it as it does work sometimes

I had Chromecast v1 for almost a year. That works except I have to regularly cycle the power on it, as it would simply become unresponsive every week or two. After a couple of months of having to cycle the power, I decided to get V2. This new one just works. No power recycles. Its very Stable.

If you have a bunch of non-smart TVs like I do, the Chromcast is your best friend. It basically gives any TV with an HDMI port Internet functionality. Now I can watch YouTube, Netflix, Hulu and other Internet content on my TV without having to purchase a brand new one with smart capabilities.

For many tasks it's easy to have a remote. Performance wise it's very good
