It definitely is faster than the previous version and love using it.

I like it for the fact i can stream from my phone to my tv.

It is good to send your computer/cell phone movie or streaming play to TV. Previous Chromecast was USB powered and can be seen after turning on TV. This Chromecast has DC powered and you can see the device from your phone and send it easily and it makes your TV on automatically.

Chromecast is an affordable to stream HD content to a dumb TV via an Andriod device or an iPhone. This Chromecast is only capable to stream HD content, if you want 4K, you will need to look for the 4K capable version of Chromecast. I knocked off 1 star because you cannot mirror screen from an iPhone. Screen mirror is only supported on Andriod device.

This is a great product if you do not have a SMART TV. It allows you to put videos from YouTube and Netflix that you are streaming on your smartphone onto your TV while still being able to use your phone for other tasks like texting or emails or Facebook. I don't think it is necessary if you have a SMART TV so that is why I gave it 4 stars.

Purchased to stream NFL from NFL app which wasn't supported. Nothing to do with the Chromecast..

This is probably my 8th chromecast I purchased. It is a great device to give a nice cheap gift. Everyone I have given one to has been amazed at how much they use it. its quick, has great signal strength, and awesome picture. as for the cons, It's not an upgrade to the first gen. the only difference is that its round. I actually prefer it it the old stick form factor.

My complaint is that a lot of the times the lips don't match the words. If it wasn't for that it does good.

Basically I love chromecast and I bought this as google said an upgrade to their older chromecast. So, I do not see any difference from my old/first gen chromecast and to be honest this is getting disconnected sometimes by itself not sure why ... I'm thinking to get back to my old chromecast.

I find this to be more cumbersome than Apple TV. It is worth the minimal expense however if you like google

I love it... I use it all the time.. the only con.. I don’t know if it’s my iPad, the WiFi signal or the chrome.. but sometimes they just don’t recognize each other.. they forget the network or just don’t see the chrome in the iPad.. many times I have to shut everything for a while for it to work properly... then once it works it’s awesome...

We used the Chromecast to help teach in our children's ministry. They help us with wirelessly projecting videos and other training materials. Makes for a clean operation. Love the opportunity to make use of a variety of devices, whatever is most appropriate for the session.

Chromecast is my go to device. Also, a great gift. Chromecast mirrors all my devices and never disappointing. I am a full time student and there are times I need a larger screen to display what I am doing on my laptop. I cast my screen to the TV and have 55' screen to work on! A must have.
