Great Product

We totally enjoy being able to watch movies, youtube, etc from our phones and tablets on the full size screen. I also like the fact that the unit is portable and we can take it with us. For the price, this is an excellent product!

Not apple tv

Got a google home yesterday so I bought this. Starting to love with with the integration. Wouldn't own it if I didn't have google home because my life is apple, but It has made me think I about switching to google...

Some flailing required
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.ChromeCast does what its supposed to, but it requires a fair amount of flailing around setting it up for phone and laptop and more flailing around when changing TVs. Not great documentation or instructions. Still haven't figured out how to make MLB games full screen on the TV from the phone, so I use my laptop. I am older and not super tech savvy.

I have an android phone, and haven't used the Chromecast with anything else yet, but I don't foresee it being problematic on other devices. I really enjoy that I can now use my older TV with Spotify, YouTube and screen-sharing.

Excellent streaming device

I also purchased the Ethernet adapter for this to prevent wireless congestion. Very satisfied with this as I have no need to go above 1080p at this point.
