First off, I have a Roku that is my primary media device on my TV. I wanted the Chromecast to cast from media stored on my tablet like movies and the like. I also wanted one to play with my new Google Home. I have a Chromecast Audio that I use for streaming music around my place to various speakers and I love that, so this was a logical choice. The good. It works flawlessly with the Google Home. Youtube integration is fantastic. Since there are some documentaries that I like on YT that works for me. While I think it would be ridiculous to watch cat videos or mannequin challenge stuff you could do that also. Like I said above I have a Roku so I have no need to see about using Netflix or Hulu on it. The bad, or actually not all that bad. It is an incredible inconvenience to have to use your phone or tablet as the remote. Once or twice I've had it just flake out and not cast even though the phone app says it is working. Currently with the Google Home you can only cast from Youtube. Fine for me, but does kind of limit its usability. I'm sure that will change in the future. I really can't complain as it is an amazing device. Especially at only $35 full retail. I would probably have a love/hate relationship with it if it were my only media device. The lack of a remote is a big issue with me. But even with those things, it is pretty awesome overall.

This is one of the easiest devices to ever set up on my network, my tablets are linked to it my computer is linked to it and is unbelievable for streaming vid

We bought this to be able to watch you tube and more in different rooms in our home and hasn't disappoint.. very good product. And awesome price.

love that i can stream from my computer to it. Especially for flash TV shows which only work in web browsers. The photo based screen saver is a nice touch too.

Works great, very simple to use and works much better than the first gen chromecast. For the price it is a steal. I got it on a sale so I couldn't help myself.

I bought this for my father for christmas and he loved it. It is easy to use and set up. He really isn't tech savvy but he has had fun using this a lot lately.

I have a chromebook, android tablet, and an iphone6s. And they all can cominicate with the chrome cast no problem.

My brother was visiting and said this is a must have. Use to "mirror image" from my phone to the tv. No more. Great product and so easy to use.

Works well, works fast. I use it everyday. Casting FoxSportsGo from my browser worked well enough and I would justify the cost of the product with that alone.

We have the 1st Gen Chromecast on the tv in the living room but needed another one for our tv upstairs. 2nd Gen works great and very simple to use and set up.

I love the chrome. I had the previous version but damaged it by accident. This version is just as good. Kudos to Google for allowing me to cast stuff on my TV!

Love being able to stream the internet to the TV's... Love the convenience of being able to switch to any TV or use any tablet, phone or PC to stream from!!!

Provides simple sharing and streaming of content to my TV. It's a great addition to make a "normal" TV into a SMART TV without the hefty price tag associated with the SMART label. One thing that would make it better would be a remote so that you can use it without having to use your phone. Mostly useful for babysitters and such that aren't connected to your accounts for streaming.

This is an affordable option compared to buying a new smart TV. It took a couple times (days apart) to remember how to stream to the TV. No remote control is necessary since a smart phone does the work instead!

This is one I purchased for work and its awesome. We use it all the time to stream demo videos. Why don;t you already have 1? or 5 like me..lol

I bought this to stream Netflix and YouTube but found myself mirroring my phone to the tv and have a giant phone.

The ability to stream my phone to my TV and control things like Netflix and Hulu is great. Never have to worry about looking for the remote :)

This works so well for people who do not have a smart TV. I gave it to my grandparents to use when my kids are over there and works great. Very simple to use.

It was what I expected it served its purpose. Of course you have to pay for certain things. However having Netflix and things all in one place is pretty cool.

I have used this product almost every day. Casting youtube from mobile is very easy and fun. Plus cast your laptop screen with Chrome browser.
