Chromecast Gadget
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The marketing for this device could be a little misleading if you don't read the description carefully. I had the impression the device itself would display application icons on my tv screen, but instead, it simply creates a way to stream content, from whatever compatible device you're using, to your tv. And it does it very well. Very simple to set-up and use. I've even downloaded the Chrome App to my MacBook Pro and it works perfectly.

Good value
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Very easy to set up and excellent value at 30$. I have connected my smartphone, tablets and even my laptop to my TV using Chromecast . There are number of good entertainment apps that are now available on Chromecast. The Chrome browser extension allows me replicate my laptop screen on TV and the cast screen option on the smartphone also lets me play games and watch my favorite videos. Will buy more of these in the near future..

Love this thing!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. So I bought a chrome cast for myself a couple weeks before Christmas. Tried it out on my living room TV. Works amazingly. Entertaining a group of Friends with your phone or tablet just got a whole lot better. I loved it so much I bought about 10 more for friends and family for Christmas. Also got another for my bedroom. Basically you plug the device into your HDMI and follow the on screen directions and that's it your are ready to go!

Great for Netflix, needs more apps
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. Its great for Netflix, very easy to use and configure (as long as you don't get the Netflix error 16003, which no one seems to knows how to fix, try to reset your screen, the phone and the router though). It lacks apps, besides Netflix, youtube and a few Asian tv sites, there's not much more to it. Am internet mini-browser would've helped a lot, hope we get it in an update.

Great for Pics & Video
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I love this product. Bought 2 & hooked each 1 to a HDTV. It is THE reason I am catching up on all my missed TV shows and movies on Netflix. Very easy setup. I use it with all my devices. I've read that some have had connectivity issues, but I've only had a couple in 100's of uses. When had a problem, I just unplugged the Chromecast unit from my TV for a sec and problem solved. I don't even have a strong WiFi signal in the rooms used.

An amazing product at an amazing price
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This was my 3rd chromecast and is paid for itself already. When I bought it was 5 dollars off with $20 on google play credit, on Valentines Day they gave $6 more dollars... On top of that I got an HD copy of x-men and a trial to Hulu plus. I stream to them nearly every day and once Sling TV supports chromecast I'll be ditching my satellite subscription. Without a doubt the best smart TV option if you have an Android or IOS device.

Good for the Price
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.ChromeCast is great for the price. It's nice to be able to stream Netflix and Hulu in the bedroom. Downsides are that it doesn't continuously play episodes so every time one ends, you have to press the button to make another one start. I wish it would just continue the show like regular Netfix and Hulu do. Also, I have a hard time keeping it connected to the iPad sometimes.

Very good bang for the buck
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I'm not much of a techie or couch potato, but this thing is very easy to set up and is great for getting streaming video/music onto your TV. I already have Netflix and Youtube apps on my Panasonic Blu-Ray player, but Chromecast is infinitely better because you use your mobile device, rather than a clunky remote, for controlling/navigating/searching/inputting. I also can see Chromecast being very good for social uses (having friends over to easily add to Youtube or music playlists, etc.) or a cheap way to add some streaming capabilities to secondary TVs in other rooms. The number of compatible apps will certainly increase very soon; can't wait. Before long, the Chromecast's capabilities might just be built into TVs from the start; the beginning of Android's conquest. The gadget's a very good deal for $35; it's a no-brainer with the 3-month Netflix deal.

Should come with the TV by default
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. For $35, you can send Netflix, Hulu, Play Music, Play Videos and TV, Pandora, etc. to your TV. You and your friends will never have to huddle around a mobile screen again to watch a Youtube video. You can share your screen from Chrome with no problem. Oh and it updates itself so it's maintenance free. Depending on your TV's HDMI specs, it can even turn the TV on and to the right input channel so you don't even need a remote.

Great Streaming Media Device
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. We have a three year old who loves watching the cartoons on Netflix and other streaming services. The Chromecast makes it so simple to use, from plugging it into the USB on the TV to controlling everything from the Chromecast app on our phones. It's also very nice that our three year old can't reach/touch buttons on it to break it or lose it. I definitely can't forget to mention how awesome it is for the price alone.

Awesome product!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Whether you have a smart tv or not, this is a good purchase. It is fairly inexpensive, and it adds many nice features. Some phones/tablets can cast their entire screens, and you can cast any tab from Chrome on your computer. There are some fun games and plenty of video streaming. The only downside is that there are not tons of apps yet, but it is quickly growing!

Awesome!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I got tired of having to use a HDMI cable to hook my laptop to my TV. I purchased this and everything is so easy now. Just use Google Chrome and download the Chromecast extension and it is as simple as 1 click to make your laptop/smartphone (Android and iPhones) viewable on your TV. The devices plugs into the wall outlet, then plugs into your TV via HDMI port. No additional cables needed. Super quick/easy setup and install.

Limited functionality, but great potential
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Chromecast has a ways to go, but I don't regret the purchase. Setup is a breeze, and it's priced really well. I wish there were more apps that supported it, but I believe Google just opened the SDK, so that should be coming. It's pretty handy being able to call up shows or movies from Netflix on my phone, and the streaming quality is fine. I do wish casting from my PC was more robust. Right now, you still need to navigate at your computer (no mouse icon displays), which isn't really convenient if you have a desktop. (The wireless keyboard I bought to use with it is basically being wasted right now.) I also ran into a bug with tab casting that caused some serious visual glitching; I found out after a bit of searching that I had to disable hardware acceleration in Chrome. All things said, I think it's worth dropping the money on.

Awesome for streaming
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I wanted a reasonably priced device to be able to stream from my computer or tablet to my big screen tv , and the Google Chromecast is exactly what I wanted and easy to use , very user friendly . I can continue to use my computer as it streams to my tv from another open tab . I would recommend this as a necessity to any media junkie !!!

Really turns your TV into a Smart TV
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This was the second one I bought. I gave the first one to a friend and she is still raving about it. She particularly enjoyed the ability to get Netflix. This one I gave to my landlord. He was very excited with it as he could put his pictures from his smart pad on to his 60 inch screen tv. Both of the recipients said it was the best gift I had ever given them. They both said it in addition that it was easy to set up and to use.

Bargain Media Streaming!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. For the price you can't go wrong so just BUY IT! Easily cast from your smart phone / tablet / computer to your TV. You can even take it with you on vacation! Only setback was we needed an additional audio extractor to feed the chromecast input through our stereo speakers (they're old).

Mildly disappointed
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. While set up was relatively simple and the picture and audio quality is what you would expect from HDMI I find myself mild disappointed with the amount of apps from my android phone that allow chrome cast. You can mirror your phones screen but many applications i want to see on the big screen do not allow it. Great product but i wish I could do more with it.

Amazing!!!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. We bought a Google Chrome not too long ago to try it out and we absolutely love it!!! Easy to connect, great signal, never lags, plays movies from our phone or computer great!!! It works so well, we had to make a trip to Best Buy just to buy 2 more. One for each room of the house!!! We were tired of sharing!!! Our 9 year old can easily beam netflix from his tablet, to the tv now!!! I recommend this to everyone!!!

Works well but ...
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Bought the Chromecast to stream videos to my tv. Installation was very easy where I got to connect my iPod touch, iPad, and laptop to the device. For the price it is a great deal though its applications are quite limited as of the moment. I only stream Youtube videos which works quite well. I do not subscribe to Hulu nor Netflix at the moment though I am happy to know that I could when I am ready. What I am impressed with is that fact that videos continue to stream and do not halt even if you want to do other things with your device. Though limited in applications as I mentioned, I was comfortable with my purchase because of the news that Google plans on updating the software and add applications in the future. It would be wonderful to see this device stream photos and videos from any device. That would make it awesome!

Easily Does What It's Designed To Do
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Chromecast is nice because of it's compact size, and if your TV has a USB port, you can power it from there. Setup is easy, the only downside that I see is the usage of multiple different apps to stream video to it. Streaming from an iPhone, and trying to use Flixster to stream movies, requires you to download an additional Flixster Stream app.
