I bought the Chromecast simply because I wanted to try it out, and at the $35 price with three months of Netflix free, it's practically a steal. It was very easy to set up - took me about eight minutes total - and it's very easy to use. I've tried Youtube videos on it, which work like a charm, but I've yet to try Netflix simply because my television already has Netflix capabilities. I also attempted to play a local video file in my browser and cast the tab, but that didn't work so well. All in all, it's a great starting point for a great price - I can't wait until the development SDK is released and we start to see some great things from great developers.

The Google Chromecast works great. We use this at home on our main living room tv with an Android smartphone. Easy setup. Easy and fast to hook up to each time. Broadcasts a very clear picture onto the tv. Works great especially for things like IHEART Radio. You can cast your music and listen ....while still being able to use your phone as you wish. Would definitely recommend this! Great product and worth the price!

The initial setup was a breeze. I was setup and ready to cast from my moto x in a matter of minutes. I love that you can actually mirror your screen with the newest update. The picture quality is excellent true HD!!! With this Chromecast I gave my Samsung 60" Plasma, also from Best Buy, more features and versatility than many of the smart tvs on the market. Very Satissfied!!! I'm even happier that I got it on sale !!

I've used consoles, Amazon Fire Stick, Roku, and Chromecast for strwaming, and Chromecast is by far the best in terms of bang for your buck. Only thing I would like would be a remote that can be used for the device, but that doesn't really knock it down any pegs for me that it doesn't have one, the phone and computer interface works pretty well to begin with. All in all, would recommend getting for the price it is.

This is great. For someone who wants something to play of the TV as just light or needs a quick video this is great. You can link any device play any YouTube video, Netflix and so much more to it. It's small and light you don't even notice it in your bag when your going on vacation or daily traval. Setup is fast and simple with a quick plug in and WiFi connection you are up and running on any TV with an hdmi port.

This item is worth every penny of the 35 dollar price. You can stream any android Tablet or Phone I believe also iPhones and iPads. Also you can stream computers to the device as well. This absolutely is a convenience especially if you do not want a computer in every room to use for media. By getting the extension on your browser it will allow for you to stream it to your TV that the chromecast is connected to.

This may be one of the most useful gadgets I've purchased in a long while I was looking for just this sort of thing to play NETFLIX & HBOGO on my bedroom TV since I don't have a device in there to play it such as a DVD player,XBOX, ETC. well this device was just what I was looking for. The set up is easy. U control the functions from your smartphone or tablet. They are adding new apps all the time. The most recent is called REALPLAYER which allows you to play pictures or videos from your smartphone or tablet onto your TV along with videos from YOUTUBE or any of your friends on FACEBOOK or videos you've posted on FB. I originally paid $34.99 then a couple of days later went back for something & seen it was on sale for less then $30.00 so I went to customer service & they refunded me the difference! This gadget is well worth the price! P.S. Another great feature is that u can continue to use your device as normal even while the Chromecast is broadcasting!!!

I am very satisfied with this purchase. It was easy to set-up and even easier to use. It did not come with an overwhelming amount of information and/or packaging...which I like. Just the necessary equipment needed to do the job and just the right amount of instructions. I am very glad that an extension piece was included for my hard to reach HDMI ports. I use this device daily with very little disappointment.

Good Price, good size, easy to use, versatile and good brant

This Chromecast is a great device for the price! I have the Logitech Revue and comparing the streaming of youtube of standard def , there is no comparison. The Chromecast can do HD as well but I was comparing something relatively simple to start off with, and the Revue lost in spades. This device is SO easy to set up. I was set up within 5 mins, mostly because I had to get the wifi key lol that took time to get and write down. There is one slight negative aspect on this device in respects to it's hardware. This needs a power source and a lot of older TVs do not have USB ports to power the Chromecast. There is a power cord that is prepackaged with it, but it's a great feature to not plug another device in a pretty loaded media center. Mine came with 3 months of free streaming netflix. That alone reduces the price significantly and was a no brainer in getting this. I can honestly say this is a must have device if you stream from youtube or/and netflix regularly.

I've bought these things for my whole family. The chromecast is so easy to use and setup. These are great for a tv that's a little older that you want to turn into a 'smart' tv. I've only used iOS products to initiate the streaming, but considering its a google product, I'm sure an android device would work as good if not better. My only gripe is I wish more applications were chromecast ready, but they're coming.

I absolutely love these little ChromeCasts. This is our second one and I can't imagine why everyone doesn't have one on every non-smart TV. We even have one on one of our Smart TVs so we can get the few things the Smart TV Menu does not provide (NFL Football when on ESPN) - We just bring up the program on a Smart Phone and cast it to the TV. Works great! Wonderful small, inexpensive electronic gadgets.

Best way to get your favorite apps on your TV with little effort. And if your favorite app is incompatible you can mirror your phone so regardless of what you want to watch you have complete access. Mirror mode is fully compatible with a few phones but is in beta for all phones, so everyone can try out mirroring and see if it works for them. I can confirm though that mirror mode works perfect on the galaxy s5

The Chromecast HDMI stick does indeed stream media from a smart device. However, there aren't that many apps that will work with it. So, I only use it to watch Netflix and YouTube. I wish it had other TV channel apps like CBS, TNT, and the CW. But the cheap price makes it a keeper.

The Chrome cast is a joy to use while it is cool. It works great, has a wonderful picture and decent sound, even on my tiny TV. However, watch out when it overheats, which it does frequently under heavy use. I often find myself mid program unable to pause the show to leave the couch. The Chrome Cast loses contact with the controlling device.

Bought this Chromecast as a gift for my sister. Set up was easy, was up and running in about 10 minutes. I know there are a variety of dongle devices available at present, but the Chromecast has worked so well for us, I really haven't had the desire to research the others very much. Great value for the investment.

This device works awesome, I used to have an Apple TV in my room but I recently moved it to the Living Room, so I needed something to replace ATV not so expensive as the apple device. At first I was skeptical about this item but since it was affordable and besides I used a best buy certificate, well I couldn't be more happier that I decided to purchase this. I have a 2 yr old that sometimes watches videos from YouTube and Netflix movies as well. Chromecast gave me the opportunity to do this, I can even watch movies thanks to a Chrome plugin. Only downside is that sometimes you loose the chrome cast icon from Youtube, or Netflix iOS apps (I have an iPhone 5), this happens if I am watching a YouTube video, once I change to another video I loose the icon, only way to get it back is to wait lots of minutes or unplugging Chromecast from power and plug it back. I know my router is not conflicting with this device so it must be a bug, maybe an update will soon come to resolve this, other than that is an Awesome device where you can use great applications from your laptop or cell phone. I also wish it would be more compatible with iOS for sharing pictures and Videos, I know there are apps in the Apple store that are designed fro Chromecast but they don't work very good, specially if you want to share a big HD video recorded by your iphone, it would crash. Also I would love that my NAS myCloud from WD would be included in Chromecast to cast anything from it, THAT would be my ALL..!!

This Chrome stick had just what we needed, HBO Go, also had netflix, these are the top two apps used in my household and were a must as we wanted to stream to our older tv in the bedroom fairly cheaply, and couldn't have asked for a better entry price for something like this. Would like to be able to stream from tablets and devices such as ipad and iphone to the tv with this, as we can get a chrome browser on the devices, but it is limited to the version on pc, laptop, or perhaps android devices, but not able to test that without owning an android phone or tablet. Overall this got the job down, for a very reasonable price. Definitely recommend this for someone wanting apps available on another tv and doesn't was to hook up a console or something more expensive to obtain this

Super Easy to setup and especially when you want to stream to your TV it activates automatically, loading times are fast and within less than a minute or 30 secs your connected. Even my parents be streaming from their phones onto the TV. Worth it for all IPhones and Androidd user whether it's a phone or IPad/tablet. I will be purchasing another chrome cast or two because of the size and prices.

The chrome cast works really well with my iPad and android phone, but the apps that work with it are limited. I can cast ABC, Showtime, and ESPN but not Fox or NBC. The picture is of excellent quality. If you are thinking about purchasing this, do your homework!!
