Great alternative to the higher priced options, works well for streaming movies,videos and certain games. Easy to setup well

I have been looking for a streaming device, and the price is great on this device. It does exactly what I wanted it to do. It's easy to install and easy to use.

Chromecast is awesome, especailly since it displays high quality videos from your phone, to the t.v. you can download apps that can make you stream your videos, music or photos to the t.v. which make it even more awesome. I reccomend this product to anyone who watches youtube, netflix, pandora, or watches videos they have recorded onto their phone so everyone can see it on a t.v. wirelessly.

I'm super happy with my Chromecast. I can turn just about any tv into a smart tv. I find it easier to use to search on the internet than the remote control my smart tv came with. The interface is simple with great funtionality. I highly recomend this product to anyone who is interested in streaming. I love the simplicity, easily transferr from one tv tp the next. I highly recomend prodct.

The device itself is great. Connecting it took only a few minutes. It instantly streams whatever compatible app you have on your phone onto your tv. You can even stream your phone's screen onto the tv. The only issue I have is that you need a strong wifi signal for it to work seamlessly. If you do not have a strong wifi signal your connection the the device will be spotty resulting in you losing control (eg. not being able to pause when needed). Overall its a good buy and will recommend.

From streaming YouTube, Netflix, or HBO GO, you can't beat the versatility or benefits of this device. Especially at its price point. Match this with your laptop or desktop with Chrome and you can pretty much 'cast' anything you want to your TV. Additionally, if you have an Android phone, you can typically cast anything from your phone onto the TV as well. With iOS, it's app-dependent, so Netflix, YouTube, Comedy Central, HBO GO all work without a hitch.

This is a really good device. It is cheap and easy to carry on the go. It streams really well also. It is almost as good as Apple TV but a lot cheaper.

What is the old adage, you get what you pay for? This is lots cheaper than my Roku but (at least for me) it does so much less. The only reason I got it was to stream my tablets through it. Roku is tons better for me because it has channels but it won't stream my tablets as nice. Now this device may have channels but I haven't looked into it because I don't find any reason to look past my Roku.

The Chromecast lets you play streaming media from certain apps on your smartphone wirelessly to your tv. It is extremely easy to use and setup, and is a tremendous value for $35. The only downside is that right now it doesn't support much more than Netflix and YouTube. Maybe more will be added in the future. But even just for those two apps, it is an extremely convenient little device to have.

The Chromecast does everything that is advertised and exceeds expectations. On top of all the Chromecast Ready apps, a lot of websites, especially those with videos and audio, can cast the video and audio to your TV very easily. Only complain is that the full screen casting lags a little more than would be desired, but this is a beta feature and works well enough considering the transmission is wireless. The Chromecast is also very easy to use and to setup. Plus, it only costs $35!!

I got the chromecast because I was tired of plugging in my laptop to watch videos. It was so quick and easy to set up. You just plug it in and connect to it from your phone or computer and then type in your wifi password. From there you can just select it from a variety of apps and the video will just show up on the screen! On thing I also found really useful is whenever there's a video I want to watch on a service that isn't supported by chromecast yet, I can just open the video on my laptop using the Chrome browser and mirror whatever plays on my laptop onto my tv!

I love this little gadget for streaming to my TVs. It is small and easily connects to the TVs. Reasonably priced and easy to set up.

The Chromecast is not quite what I expected. I thought it would be similar to an Android TV stick complete with a Google Play Store and home screen customization. Turns out it merely casts images from your computer, tablet or smart phone onto your HDTV. There aren't a lot of apps available;hopefully more will be added soon. The only way you can cast images is to use the Google Chrome browser and download the Chromecast extension. Then, you have to click the cast icon for content to appear on your screen. Works especially well for YouTube and Netflix. Just a word of warning: when initially viewing Netflix, the picture looks pretty pixelated. After the content has streamed a few minutes, picture becomes crystal clear. Once more content is added, this could be a low cost alternative to a steaming media box like the Roku. All in all, okay for the price, but if you're expecting smart TV type performance, go for Android TV.

I purchased this with some Christmas gift cards. Made something that was already very affordable, even more so. It works wonderfully and being able to send entire tabs to my TV to stream essentially anything. It works wonderfully, I am excited for the new apps for it that will come out now that Google has opened it up to developers.

The works great. I can stream anything to my big screen using my laptop. Makes watching videos very easy. This even works great with my Samsung tablet and Droid Razr phone. I can stream all netflix, youtube and some third party apps to any tv. The grestest thing is that i can take it with me anywhere. The size is just a little bit larger than a thumb drive. This device is worth twice its value.

Awesome product for streaming videos onto the tv and makes it easier to follow if there are directions and instructions

This is my second one. I have one on each TV. Easy to setup and easy to use. Each firmware upgrade makes these easier to use with better performance.

I initially bought the Google Chromecast as a gift for my parents. They love it so far and have said that it's really easy to use. Sometimes when casting from their Android phones though, the Chromecast app won't connect to the Chromecast. They've been able to make it work by turning their phones off and on again. Not sure if this is a problem with the app or with the Chromecast itself. I recently bought one for myself, and haven't had any problems yet when using my iPhone.
