Excellent product I use it to stream video from my desktop, iPad and phone to my TV. It is easy to install and the price is great

I have one of these on every tv and even have one at work. Quick and easy to use, more functionality every day. Puts other devices like the roku to shame. Works with android and ios and multiple people can connect to it at the same time. We use it for streaming local media, netflix, audio and games at home and presentations and digital whiteboard at work. for $35 dollars there is no reason not to try it.

Great for a 1st timer like myself. The Chromecast was easy to install and I could download the app on my phone and my tablet. It is able to locate the Chromecast on each device, without having to go through the process or reprogramming the Chromecast to each device. I enjoy this with Netflix and so does my 6 year old. The only con is you have to keep it plugged in. I tried to "charge it" so that it could be in my tv without the cord and it did not work without being connected to a power source.

I've been pleased with my Chromecast. It was very easy to setup, and it does a great job streaming videos I select from my tablet. I wish it supported more applications, though. Hopefully, more support will be added in the near future, but in the meantime, it does do what it does very well.

You would not believe how simplistic this device is, yet it provides a plethora of entertainment opportunities. It quickly became my families go to device to watch netflix, youtube, videos from our laptops, and to play games on the big screen. The main advantage of this device is it's simplicity and cross-platform comparability. We use it in conjunction with OS X, Linux, Windows, Android, and iOS devices and all seem to work smoothly with it. For it's price you get more then what you pay.

Great for watching movies, or sports from phone! Great with Netflix! Or casting pictures or videos from phone or computer.

Google Chromecast is easy to install and easy to use. All I needed to do was to: (1) open the box and insert it to the HDMI port at the back of the TV; (2) insert the USB cable for power support (we have to use a power brick because we have an older TV); (3) download the Chromecast app from Google Play Store; (4) follow the online instructions to connect to our WIFI. In our case, Chromecast updated its firmware before the first use. The whole process was fast and easy. Can't complain!

I wanted something that I could carry with me anywhere that I could plug on the back of a tv and use my apps from my phone. This is the greatest little gadget ever invented. I use it all the time especially for my hbo to go app and catch up on all the episodes I missed from game of thrones. Your phone is the remote control. I sure do recommend this to anyone wanting a gadget like this one.

I purchased this after hearing so much about what chromecast can do. I got it on sale for $30.99 and it was the best purchase I could have made, we can cast from our PC, tablet, phones, and guests can also cast from their phones. The chromecast device operates flawlessly and the image quality is superb. I would surely recommend this to anyone seeking to broaden their entertainment horizon!!

Unable to use successfully with my Samsung tablet but worked very well with Samsung phone.

If you have a non-smart TV with an available HDMI port, I think this buy is a no-brainer. I have nothing but good things to say about Chromecast. For ~$30, I got all of the essential smart TV functions like watching Netflix and HBOGo on my TV. It was also a pleasant suprise to watch longer YouTube videos on the couch versus sitting having to sit at a desk. I would argue that having a Chromecast is even better than having a TV with built-in apps, as controling content from a smartphone or tablets is seamless and no hassle to setup. Just beware the device needs an additional power source (a USB port on the TV, or USB to AC adapter).

I was torn between Chrome and Apple TV. I bought the Chrome and never looked back. It was perfect for my application. I can wirelessly stream web pages from my Macbook Pro onto my 55" plasma TV without an HDMI cable. Its small, simple to install and easy to use. You do have to download the Google Chrome web browser in order to use it though. Apple TV has advantages and being an Apple guy I wasn't sure if I would like the Chrome but for $30 it has met my needs. Buy one you will love it!

I already owned one when I purchased this one but my shopping experience was great. Best buy price matched my product with out Hassel. Now for the chromecast; great streaming product simple installation. You do need to download an app to program but it only takes a few minutes and you YouTube or Netflix ready. The but con you need a good reliable WiFi Internet connection. I don't have a problem at home but did give my parents one that looses connection due to poor WiFi strength

For a background, we have a smart TV which I am not sure I would get again. We have a Roku and smart Blu-Ray players. I used the Chromecast from a Google tablet and it worked well for Netflix. It seems as though the apps may work great. I did not try casting my browser from the tablet but I did try casting my Chrome browser from my laptop. There was a horrible lag. I was testing that because I don't have Hulu plus but use Hulu occasionally. That was a nightmare. I installed Chrome on my laptop specifically to test this. The interesting part is my laptop then had a lag while using other browsers that was not there previously. I uninstalled Chrome and the lag went away. I want to use it when we go away and want to watch Netflix which I have not tested yet but it seems like it should work if the network is fast enough. My preference at home is to use other devices but this is cheap and is worth trying. I like toys and this is another fun toy.

Streams great! Easy to set up and works better than my blu ray player for watching Netflix.

This is such a small piece you can't even see once installed in the back of the TV. The picture you get is full HD (I have a blue ray player and a chromo-cast installed in different TVs and I don't see the difference in quality in the TV picture, only in the price: $35 vs. $90! This is one of my Best Buys! Or it is my best buy!
