Easy to set up and easy to carry. Great recommendation for entertainment with low price.

This is a great product, if you are looking for HDMI device (Dongle) which can stream media content from laptop, fav apps (youtube and netflix at present), and most importantly live content stream via chrome plus, which I have been using on daily basis now. I think I use stream option from chrome browser than anything else. Unfortunately, there is no stream option from iOS chrome browser. I am die hard fan of apple. Worth buying it !! Google has promised many applications to come in near future, but I really hope that it is near future... One suggestion to google team, they should add skype, google hangout apps to chromecast, since it would so great to see your distant friends and family on big screen. Definitely recommend to buy it.

The chromecast delivers what it promises. It's ability to stream from the Starz Play app is what sold me on the device. Cant beat the price for what you get. The lack of a dedicated remote may be a turn off for some. One thing of note. I had to plug the Chromecast into an open HDMI port on my receiver to get 5.1 sound as the optical channel from the TV back to the receiver only provided 2 channel sound.

Works like it says, and works on newer tablet. It would not work on an older Acer tablet I had. Also, not a whole lot of apps supported, so right now it is kind of limited. But it does a good job with Youtube. It also isn't expensive. I'd like to see a lot more apps supported.

Chromecasting is relatively easy from computer and iPhone, I like the convenience of being able to stream HBO, Netflix, Pandora, etc. from my iPhone. Although a bit buggy with Comcast equipment to set up. The support documentation listed my modem/router as one that needed to have special tweaks by Comcast people, and did not work initially as instructions noted. I tried to first sync my iPhone with the Key, then my Macbook Pro, and that seemed to do the trick for some reason. Set up can be buggy, but keep playing with it, and it ought to work. Once you get it to work, you get used to the bugginess, and live with and accept the quirks since the streaming is a nice feature... NO WIRES. DO NOT PUT THE CHROMECAST KEY IN THE SIDE PORT OF A TV IN A HIGH TRAFFIC AREA. I did, and walked by it, snagged it on my coat, and it snapped the HDMI connector off the Key in the port on the TV. Better to use a Back port, or the flexible "dongle" supplied if you must use a side port. The best part of this review, is more on Best Buy... since Best Buy folks replaced the key, no questions asked, when I told them I broke it by bumping into it on the side TV Port.

Didn't want to spend a 100 dollars more for a smart tv purchased this and easy setup and great picture on new hd tv.

This device is very affordable and easy to use. Some devices can display full cell phone view and some just YouTube.

I got this when it was on sale with the goal of showing pix and movies from my iPhone on a big screen. It works alright with a third party app but not great. I'm sure it's a better experience with an android device. Works well for adding Netflix capability to a non-smart TV. Also casts YouTube well from iPhone. When I tried to cast other streaming video content from Chrome browser it was unusable.

it is awesome to stream movies and entertainment from your favorite mobile device. Very easy to install and operate.

Awesome to stream movies from Netflix, Hulu, etc. Easy to setup and customize and everyone at home can use. Only problem is it is not compatible with dual band routers that have 5GHz wifi signals. So for homes like ours that have a lot of wireless saturation it can be a pain because streaming will buffer a lot. Recommended for homes who do not have wireless saturation, not recommended for those who do.

I have both this and an Amazon fire stick in my house, and both work great. This is perfect if you don't mind having to connect it to a computer at all times, otherwise get the Amazon fire tick for around the same price. The price difference between a smart tv and a tv with no apps included can be hundreds of dollars, save that money and turn your tv into a smart tv for $35. Great product, great price.

This is the second one of these I've bought and both have worked flawlessly. Super easy to set up and use as well.

I thought I would give it a try. (My wife made us an apple family) Other than the fact that you need to create a google account chromecast isn't bad. It is compatible within iPads and iPhones. It was easy to set up once you have a Google page set up. It did freeze on me once and I had to reboot it but in the end it did what it is suppose to- just put programming on your tv from your mobile device.

I am very happy with this purchase. The Chromecast is a very functional little device that serves the purpose of displaying what I want to watch on my laptop to my TV. A lot of apps including YouTube support casting using Chromecast. It is much easier to use the computer to look for the shows than doing searches on TV through apps. Google also gives you extra bonus such as free movies and Google Play credits once in a while for using it. You wont be disappointed.

Really good product and much easier and user friendly than Apple TV. Alot cheaper too, definitely worth the money.

I already had one of these but I bought another for my daughter's TV. She is home from college for the year to study at home. Her room has never had cable. But with wi-if from the home network she doesn't need cable. She can use the streaming content from YouTube, Netflix, Hulu, and a host of other network providers to watch pretty much whatever she's interested in. Just select the TV from the Google cast ap and enjoy. No wires to run through the walls or floors.
