Great item to stream netflix, hulu, showbox and other great apps from your phone. No lag

Nice product for price. Have had some issues with connectivity.

I purchased this because my boys like to watch educational videos on Youtube, but when I tried to Beam playlists to our Roku, I just couldn't. I bought this, and no longer have a problem running Youtube playlists on the TV while I get dressed or make dinner. If you are a cable-free family, this is wonderful because you can use it in place of a Roku or instead of watching on your laptop. When viewing videos on the laptop, the sound quality is not always the best, but when I use the Chromecast, it is just a much better experience. Another plus is that this was so reasonably priced and the setup was quick and easy. Occasionally, I have to redo the setup, but this could be a result of the poor internet service we receive from the only provider in our area. (Starts with C, ends with T.) I would buy this for every television in our house if our other sets weren't so old. It's too bad they don't make one for late model sets without HDMI ports.

Chromecast works great. I use mine from IOS devices and in most cases the UI is very good. Picture quality is excellent when using apps provided by Netflix, YouTube, HBO, etc. However, actually trying to display directly from Chrome is not nearly as good. My only real disappointment is that it does not have an app for Amazon Prime Instant Video.

I want to say product is worthy of a solid 5 stars but I had issues streaming. I am pretty sure it was my Internet connection and not the products fault. Minor issues like, interruptions if someone connects to wifi mid-streaming, lag, buffering delay etc. Love this though! It's a great product and great price. So much so, that I will give as gifts!

This is an awesome product, easy to use, and works exceptionally. I highly recommend it!!

Good Product overall. easy to setup and very quick to jump into. Very nice accessories that comes in the box and runs flawlessly. Just wish that there was a much wider variety of Apps that were able to be used with this product.

I use both Google and Apple ecosystems at my home and found that streaming over the Chromecast is more reliable in terms of quality of stream, reliability of connection, and availability of applications that are supported that I am interested in. I have a Nexus 7, Acer Chromebook, Macbook Pro, and Windows laptop and since Chrome can be installed on all of the above, the ChromeCast is almost device agnostic.

Works great. Easy setup. Only downside it needs more apps to use.

Simple to use, gives your tablet or phone so much more functionality. I "cast" not only shows and movies but music from Pandora, too so I get the full effect from my large flat screen's speakers. Money well spent if you ask me. In fact, we ended up recently buying a smart tv and frankly sometimes it's a little finicky. BUT I can always count on the Google Chromecast to work so it's a good back up, too.

Good device to use when you don't have smart TV or HDMI cable to connect your laptop. It works excellent when you cast videos from YouTube in your laptop/mobile to TV. Tried casting HULU plus videos from chrome browser but videos were very slow in TV. Don't know whether its issue with Hulu plus or Chromecast. Didn't try casting Netflix using this.

It works pretty good but is not automatic. Also, it should work with Internet Explorer and Firefox, etc., but it does not. I had some troubles making it work with my wife's tablet, and it took too much fishing around at web sites with unclear directions, so you almost have to be an electrical engineer to make it work with very many gadgets.

The chromecast is easy to install but a little difficult to use. I thought I would be able to use the device to stream to the tv directly through my wi-fi connection with use of the device. However, it's actually connecting to my phone/tablet/laptop. I would prefer to not have to use a third device in the process ie. tv, phone, chromecast.

I have tried other products in the past and really enjoyed using the chromecast. I like the fact that is is wireless and easy to use. The picture quality is also good. Just make sure you don't move your laptop too far away. I had mine on the couch infront of the tv near me and it worked well. I'm going to buy one for each of my girls as well!

If you have a smart TV, read no further, but if you have a great flat screen TV and you want to watch Netflix, Youtube, personal videos, photo slideshows, etc. on your TV, then you need this device. Easy to install and suddenly you can cast movies and internet content to your TV. I have had one for years and I bought this one for my sister. Remember, you must have WIFI in your home, but who doesn't?

The chromecast is definitely an easier addition to living room TV. It is small enough and fits in the Vizio TV side HDMI input. I often times play my fav dance videos from Vevo or Youtube. New apps are still being made available.

very simple to install even for me, great picture quality this device can reduce your cable bill on pay per view movies. you can take it from tv to tv if you desire. very inexpensive compared to what brings to the table great for older tv that is not wi fi capable try it

Google's ChromeCast is the prime example of what premium entertainment at your fingertips should be all about. The process is extremely simple to set up and puts you in control of your media at the touch of your fingers. From casting web pages to Netflix to YouTube videos and even Google Play's store media, it makes everything you wanted to stream a dream come true. Totally worth the purchase (and cheap!)
