I like how it can stream off of any mobile device/pc. it could laget during a stream at times but for the most part, it works like a charm. Just wish it could stream from pc with an app like how you're able to on a phone so that you can see everything you're doing on the pc rather than just only what you're doing on the Chrome browser.

Great device. Excellent for the price. It works perfectly and is insanely easy to set up. Video and music streaming is clear and smooth with no cutouts or lag whatsoever. My only gripe is that I wish it supported more apps.

The Chromecast is a brilliantly simple solution for streaming content to your TV. It could not be easier to set up. Plug it in to the TV, plug it in to the wall, enter a code on the website, and *poof!* you have a working Chromecast. I installed the Chromecast on my bedroom TV. I have a Roku on my livingroom TV, and antennas on both TVs. The Chromecast is perfect for the bedroom. A little Netflix and a little YouTube is all I really need, especially with network stations coming through the antenna. This is the perfect device for you if you are trying to get rid of your cable/dish bill! For virtually no cost, you have a dead simple device that gives you a good start on content. Some reviews criticize the Chromecast for not having many apps yet. But it doesn't claim to have many apps. YouTube and Netflix are two good ones to have, with endless content, and they work incredibly well with this device. You won't be disappointed- try it!

Although we have a "smart" TV with built-in internet access, it is very clumsy and slow to navigate using the remote, so I bought the Chromecast Player to stream content from a laptop. I was a little skeptical that this would work well for the price, but it was very easy to set up and worked great right out of the box. We regularly use to stream Comcast online content and it's been flawless so far.

great product from google. They strike again. They just need to update they're functionality of apps which i believe they are already doing. also it would have been nice for the power source of 5volts to be coming from the hdmi connection but i guess its ok. Also would be great if you didnt need a wi-fi connection from inside the house but that it would create a wifi connection to your phone and you could use your LTE or 3G. (the last one is just me becuase i have LTE at home and would rather use it than my Wifi at home) other than that the product is great and easy to install and cheap compared to the products out there.

Being an owner of 5 Rokus I found it hard to purchase a Chromecast for my oldest daughter for the holidays. I tried to convince my daughter to get a Roku but she insisted on wanting the Chromecast which I did end up buying for her and on Christmas day she hooked it up at our house to show me how it worked, and I was glad to see that it wasn't that much different than my Rokus, and was easy to use.

Initially purchased because Best Buy had a great deal for a bonus $20 credit for the item. It works well, streams Youtube and Netflix at decent quality. Highly recommend for those particular apps, or any others specifically stated as supported by Chromecast. Separate media players currently do not have sufficient support to play smoothly.

I purchased my Chromecast as i recently moved into a 1 bedroom apartment and was not interested in paying for cable any longer. The Chromescast is extremely useful to watch all my netflix shows on the TV. I also will use the Chromecast extension from my laptop and am able to stream anything from my computer to the TV. Very useful feature.

The Chromecast allows you to stream content from your phone/tablet to your TV. I find this somewhat useful in that I don't use it all of the time - but when I do wish to use it, for showing off something on the "big screen" it works very well. What's best about the device is simply the price - for the functionality, you can't beat it.

Great device to stream to your tv very easy to setup and use basically turns your phone or computer into a controller to stream videos to your tv and also can mirror your device to browse the web only downside is there's not much compatible apps for it but I assume google will get on tip of it so overall great product and well worth the price I'd recommend it to anyone who loves watching netflix or likes browsing youtube

The chromecast does everything it says it does, and in a good home network will give you no problems at all streaming Netflix, plex (MP4), Pandora, etc. The only downside to the chromecast is that it uses only HDMI, which Is my preferred input method anyway but be sure you have an open port for it because there are no alternatives. It also requires AC power unless you have a spare USB slot on your TV.

I was a little skeptical about this at first, thinking it was not a necessity, but now I think everyone should have it. You don't need to turn on an extra device to stream Netflix and You Tube. Can just use your iphone or ipad. It's easy enough for even my mother to use.

I looked at all the other streaming devices and their prices. With chromecast at this price, it beats them all. Easy set, wonderful quality and plans to add on more providers. This is the streaming device to have and to hold!

I use this with my Samsung Galaxy 4 Tablet 10.1. I purchased from Best Buy as well. My son gave me this device at xmas time. I enjoy it so much I purchased a 2nd one from Best Buy so I won't have to remove the first one every time I wanted to relocate to TV in another part of my home. This Chromecast HDMI Media Player operates flawlessly with my Samsung Tablet and I wholeheartedly recommend it.

This is my second purchase of a Chromecast device. We know have one on each of our 2 main TV's in the house. I'm always impressed with how handy this device is and what I can send to it for such a small cost. TIP - Google has a "cast store" app for your android phone that only includes apps that can communicate with the Chromecast device. I was surprised to see how many apps were in their store.
