Useful product 4 stars not 5 stars due to lag issue sometimes and poor customer service. Came with a $20 Google Play credit that expired in 10 days....very irritating. Google or Best Buy couldn't help me. I suggested they send a reminder e-mail a couple of days ahead of time as a courtesy to their customers. Beware of the promotions!

The chromecast is absolutely amazing. It only cost me $25 and with it I am able to watch any movie, tv show or series anytime I want to. This product is more convenient than cable and is saving me $100 per month cable bill. I love it more than anything I own and it is so simple to use and works perfectly.

I like the google chrome cast. I can watch tv shows and movies from my cell phone and tablet. I watch shows and movies through network apps and I also watch movies through online websites that I cast to my tv. I have not tried to cast through all of my apps but for those that I have used it works great. This is saving me on my cable bill because its one less box I need attached to a tv.

The product is exactly what is as advertised. It's a great way to share screens at work or use it at home with Netflix. Broadcasts in HD and is super easy to setup. Very user friendly. Similar to AppleTV but theres a reason why it's $50 less. If you're looking for the whole package and have all apple products at home then spend the extra money on AppleTV. If not, this is well work the money!

This hardly takes a minute to setup the device. Once setup it really comes handy to stream videos, songs from your laptop, smartphones or tablets. For android phones, you can even cast the phone screen on TV! I use for streaming videos from Huluplus, Youtube and Netflix. Sometimes i like to play games in a big screen and in such cases I cast my phone :-) One of the best products from Google!

I use my to playback TV from the internet to my TV. Works fine for that as long as my signal strength on WiFi is good. The one thing that is not obvious from the images is that you need to plug it into a wall socket or if you have USB on your TV. You can use it as power source. So the images can be little bit misleading that you just plug it into HDMI and you are done. Setup is very simple.

My son and his friends at school use this to get tv programming from Sling Media - SlingTV using our Directv package at my home. Plugged it in, downloaded Chrome onto his Mac, already had the sling info entered into his computer and this allows them the ability to watch anything at school that we are able to watch at home. They have internet but not tv in their apartment and it works great.

When I purchased the device, i was a little sceptical .however after setting up my tv and device ,i was able to watch available casts from my phone via on my tv...my only critic would be on I pad ~chromecast streaming, I tried a couple of times but I couldn't connect my tablet to my tv..well androids work for me,you will like it....

The first time I used this device, it was fun streaming videos and pictures on my phone onto the tv screen. Renting movies on my phone and streaming it onto my TV is great. If i need to head out, I can resume the movie on my phone. I personally think this is not a must have device, but if you do own one, you'll enjoy it's benefits.

We only use Netflix with tv normally. Using this I also stream Youtube, Crackle, Pandora, Google Play, Comedy Central, Vudu and basically whatever I can find online that I want to see on the TV. Only thing I had to do was add DNS settings (use ATT Uverse so looked at connection page). Love it and works great!

Prefect product for the purpose its made for: find media on your phone (of course on compatible apps. e.g. youtube, netflix, etc and my favorite allcast which enables you to stream photos and video you have taken with your phone) Its very handy to share a web page with my family and friends in the room without all of them gathering around my laptop. I love it and will be using it for a long time.

Have been using this to stream music, watch movies, and show pictures from my smartphone. Very easy to setup and can also screen mirror from almost any device such as smartphone and chrome browser on any OS. Best use has been to show pictures of our newborn on the big screen since we save pictures into the cloud storage. I've since bought another for a different room in our house.

This device is very handy, especially if you don't have any other means to stream video content onto your TV. Very simple to set up, easy to use, and performs very well. But, the streaming options from your cell phone are still limited. And your current home network setup needs to be factored in for an accurate performance review.
