Chromescast is exactly what I needed. I was debating on getting a HDMI cable to link from my TV to computer, but decided to go the chromecast way. Best decision I've made because it is so easy to set up with out having cables linked to devices and I am able to enjoy my online shows from the computer on my TV.

Easy to install. Easy to download application. Inexpensive but useful product

This is awesome to stream anywhere - especially if you travel stream Netflix,hulu, or HBOgo from your phone in the hotel room (so long as the tv has an hdmi) If you want to stream movies from the cloud you have to download an app called plex for $4.99. Bought this instead of the $100 Apple tv in order to stream movies from iPad.

There are countless professional reviews out there that you should read comparing this to alternative products, but I was still surprised after doing a ton of research how "bare bones" the Chromecast can feel compared to other streaming options. There's no remote or online menu system like Roku's or Amazon's options. It's all from your phone or laptop/tablet. Casting happens directly from an app and depending on the app the quality can vary considerably. Perhaps the biggest benefit of the Chromecast is the ability to "cast" your screen from your laptop if you are using a Chrome browser. This gives you significant versatility compared to competitors, but that is again balanced with no real interface from which to use the Chromecast. The price is right and was my main motivator. Basically all the services I would want to stream are compatible (though some do not cast well from their iOS apps) and the ability to cast your full screen when using the Chrome browser is a unique option. Just be aware you are not getting a menu type system with built in apps and browsing that most people are used to now with smart TVs or Roku's interface.

This is a great product and tool for casting just about anything and everything from your phone or your computer to your TV. You can stream everything from within the chrome browser. Everything from youtube, to movies that you watch Right form Likewise, you can stream the same, if not more, from your phone. You'll get better quality video streaming/casting from your phone because there's a lot more apps that are compatible. This is because it's android and android has a lot more flexability and control with Android. As opposed to microsoft, there is a lot that you can do, but some advanced functionality is still in beta in windows. There is a lot of stability with windows, it's just that they have an additional Casting Beta app that is seperate. Which is actually kinda nice to be able to test out and work wit what's coming soon or what will be updated. However, to each their own. I enjoy casting from both, but have more of a preference to the phone. Probably because I'm not weighed so to speak by the laptop; as the phone offers more flexibility.

There is no easier way to get your pics & videos from your phone to your TV for easy viewing on the biggest screen in your house. Plus you can do the same with almost anything else, including any website when using Google Chrome as your web explorer--youtube, or anything else for that matter. And it could not be any easier to set up and use. Very neat toy, especially for $35. Get one.

The Chromecast is fantastic, however there are not enough apps that are for the chromecast yet...The list is growing, but still pretty limited. I primarily wanted it to stream my computer screen, but found out there is a delay, which is annoying. I'm confident that it will only get better and better as time goes on. Worth every penny

Easy to set up. Great value for the price. Unfortunately, it is not compatible with the Microsoft Surface or Surface 2. But it works great with PC's and iphones.

It has a great price. It is easy to install onto television. It shows great on the television. It is also easy to use. It's size is great it is very compact. It is also very portable. It has a good selection of applications able to be used with the chromecast.

Really good , and makes my tv into a smart tv. Reasonable price and easy setup.

Chromecast is AWESOME! It basically turns your TV into a smart one! I no longer have to turn on my playstation to watch things. I just hop on my iPad and can cast anything onto the screen! It has so many uses and I probably haven't used half of them yet! It's great and it cost way less than other devices you'd need to watch tv/show/movies. Definitely would buy again for my other TV :)

I bought this 6 months ago so I could get rid of cable. I haven't noticed my cable being gone since. It has so many apps available to stream from both the computer and phone. The self-charging USB is so efficient, I haven't touched, or even looked at the Chromecast behind the TV since I plugged it in. I have used it nearly every day since I bought it and am completely satisfied.

Very neat device! I could not get HD always when watching Netflix through my game system. With Chromecast the picture is awesome and other services are available. It is a great device and easy to use plus the price is prefect. The other options can't compete.

I have purchased 2 of these for my home and have given 3 as gifts. I am a big fan of these. The only knock against this streaming device over others is that other products (ie. Roku, Amazon Fire, etc) come with a remote and launch more quickly. That said, this one has the most attractive price point , versatility and a ton of apps. I use mine all the time. Highly recommend.

Setup was fast and simple. It streams 1080p and just transforms my regular TV.
